Fun Fact: Green Goblin wasn't used in these games due to Sony forbidding activision from using him because of the upcoming Raimi movie. He was going to be used for the third game as the main antagonist but the success of the Raimi movie got the third planned installment cancelled in favor of a Raimi tie-in game, where assets and animations and story elements from the unreleased third game were used for the first Raimi game. Spidey's attacks are all reused animations from the ps1 games. Spider compass returns from the ps1 games. And L1 targeting mode and all web attacks return. Also, we were supposed to get Kraven and Vulture in the third game, since they never appeared in the ps1 games yet, but were used instead for the Raimi game (with kraven being exclusive to the Xbox version).
One bit of advice for anyone who is thinking about playing this game is to check out the training mode. There are moves in this game that you will only find out about in training. I'm pretty sure they teach you that you can jump and shoot your impact webbing too, among other things.
I did want to talk about the training mode but it was another thing that got cut for time. Maybe I should have tried it, maybe then the plane bit would have been a lot less irritating haha.
Another thing worth mentioning is that collecting comic books in this game is a lot harder than in the previous Spider-Man game. Mostly because those comic books only appear on the specific difficulty. In addition to figuring out on what level they are, what you have to do to make them appear, where they are, and you also have to play on the specific difficulty. It is also worth noting that depending on which difficulty you beat, you can unlock that suit. If you manage to beat the game twice without starting a new game on at least on normal or hard, you will unlock all the suits from the previous games including the one that is essentially a god mode. Except black suit that is unlocked by beating the game on easy mode.
Yeah, I did want to talk about the suits and the comics (pretty annoying that some only appear on certain difficulties) but I had to leave them out because the video was getting too long. Thanks for commenting.
I always end up looking at Enter Electro through rose tinted spectacles as it was the first Spidey game I played. But I do agree it can be really frustrating, especially the plane level, and does require a bit of cheesing to get through (I never did the swing from platform to platform thing during Mission Spidey, I just web zipped straight up). It is still worth revisiting for the unlockables though. Enjoyed the review, looking forward to more!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah I think we all look back with rose tinted glasses at the games we played as kids. I know I do. All the games I've reviewed so far, even the ones I still like, don't feel as good as I remember, although 20+ years of playing newer and better games probably has something to do with it as well haha. As I said, I don't think Spider-man 2 is a bad game, it can just be frustrating as fuck at times which drags it down a bit. I hated that plane bit! Thanks again, hope you continue to enjoy the channel.
Yeah, I did want to talk about that but the video was getting too long and that's even after I cut out a bunch of other stuff. Not sure what you mean by the basketball court though?
@@DayVeeJay93 if memory serves me correct it's in the beginning of the game, basically second mission after talking with beast. Here's a tutorial I think: After you watch the FMV, Take out the two thugs that are trying to kill you. Then webswing around the street and then you should see a alley with a dumpster blocking. Jump over the dumpster and then you should be ambushed by four thugs. COMIC ALERT (kid mode): Under one of the trashcans in the area your in, is the comic. Take them all out and then one of the rooftops surronding that area has a basketball on top of it. If you make a hoop in the basketball court, a health icon will appear. I've slept since I last played it, but I think this is it.
I didn't have that much problem with Sandman, I thought he was the easiest. Really? There's a version that still has the twin towers. I would have thought they'd scrub all that shit ASAP after what happened. I remember GTA 3 went through some pretty big changes leading up to release because of that.
@@DayVeeJay93 yeah I remember seeing a video the initial batch of copies of enter Electro had the Twin Towers so if you have one of the early copies of the game it's possible

I'd really like to see what your opinion is on the cancelled Daredevil game from 5000 ft in 2004. Okay I'm 9 minutes in and I've gotta say: - You have what it takes to have easily >500k subs. I don't mean you should only have 500k, but the production and editing and commentary are far above and beyond what I would expect from a youtuber with 182 subs. You're already producing content in the echelon of much higher sub counts which I hope pans out for you. - You have a great voice/accent for this shit. I literally won't watch videos over 8 minutes without a UK accent - Major nostalgia from this game. I used to play the demo of the first game on the Jampack Winter 2000 demo disc I got at a Toys'R'Us (RIP) - actually apparently they are opening inside of Macy's as of a year ago after the bankruptcy and closing of all their stores - Funny without being cringe - Good pacing - describing what happens in the game without being too descriptive all while being analytical without being too analytical - you strike a perfect balance Immediate sub and like. One thing/tip (?) is to bleep the f bombs. I do absolutely love hearing them, but I've noticed that lots of the higher profile youtubers are bleeping to maintain ad revenue. I think the bleeps still suffice in delivering the sentiment of f*ck. If you have a Patreon I'd be glad to give $15-20 a month to help out and see where you go. EDIT_0: 13 min in - the skyrim realization is amazing. I didn't know that 🤣
Hi Tom. Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so happy that you are enjoying the channel. 500K Subs? I don't know, I think I'll focus on getting to 500 for now haha, but who knows? Maybe someday. I'm pleased to read what you said about the pacing and describing things without being too descriptive because that's one of the things I worry most about, whether or not I'm spending too much time on one thing. Yeah, I do think I might have gone a bit overboard with the swearing in this one haha. I have thought about bleeping the f-words, but I think that would get annoying pretty quickly. I'm not a fan of the idea of censoring myself, but I may have to tone it down a bit if I want to get monetized because I know that will probably hold me back when I get to that stage. I don't have a Patreon yet, but I have thought about making one. I think I'll wait and see if I can get a couple hundred more subscribers before I do. Maybe that could be one of the rewards, access to uncensored videos haha. Thanks again for the compliments and for subscribing! P.S. yeah I did like the Skyrim bit. It is a bit exaggerated for the sake of the joke, but it did take me far longer than I care to admit to realize that the combinations were on the backs of the claws all along haha

Great video! You can definitely get a lot bigger as a channel, i hope the algorithm treats you well! One constructive tip- in this video, it seemed like the f bombs started to clog up your sentences sometimes. Im no cursing prude but after a certain point it doesn't add anything else

The first game was amazing...kind of like the AMAZING Spider-Man cartoon from when we were kids, which also had an awesome game in it that was great but featured a half dozen villains from his rogues gallery...that never appeared in the show lol. The beatle, Owl, Tinkerer, Jack O' Lantern are just a few that come to mind haha. I had to play this game with Gameshark to actually beat it. And one other thing...'SHOCKER!!! SHOCKER!!!....YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME! I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!!!!" hahaha. Man I'm so glad I was 11 when that show came out, we truly had it the best growing up in the 90's. Sucks for kids these days haha, but they deserve to have grown up miserable, it's like pre-karma for what garbage people they'd become.
I don't know what the fuck you're talking about! But in all seriousness, I often don't realize how much I swear until I watch the finished video. It's a northern thing, but I also admit I probably went a bit overboard in this video,

About the Hammerhead fight, you're actually supposed to web yank (triangle+down) his gun away from him, then you beat him up easily
Seriously? I never thought to try that haha. Thanks for commenting.
You can use the web to steal Hammerhead's gun which distracts him and gives you an opening.
