- Here we have truck 2009 working Barberton Spring Clean-Up this past week. The Massillon yard got this truck back in March, and I have been been wanting video of it ever since as I am a sucker for the Goliath bodies, but the facts that I was up at school for the most part and that when it was on the road, it was usually on one of the scattered routes a ways from me made it hard to find. I was hoping they would use it for clean-up, and happened to luck out when I cough it out of the corner of my eye while filming 2188.The truck came from the Lima yard, who acquired it when Republic bought out a local hauler. It's definitely not the shiniest, newest truck, but it gets the job done just fine. Another one of the drivers told me this one is a 1994 model- it's actually a year older than myself. Goes to show you how they don't make them how they used to. Definitely enjoyed the old Mack sound to this one as well. With all that said, I hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I did filming it. A big thanks to the driver for making this video possible!

I really never expected to see a truck like this, especially from Republic. Really cool that they're using it instead of tossing it aside and scrapping it. The old MR looks really nice too. Sounds pretty nice, and those rims are awesome. Really nice find, can't wait to see more from the clean-up!

Final comment, I enjoyed the entire video. That driver seemed very nice. I always forget how fun these bulk pick up routes are to watch, seeing all the different items and whatnot.

Oh and I am commenting as I watch, the crunching sounds in the first clip have me staying to watch whole video! Great job!
I liked the mixed use of the LED rear strobes and the xenon orange strobe up top. Cool truck!
I think a video like this is a lesson in how fun yet hard work it is to pick up heavy trash by yourself without someone helping.. it is also kind of a lesson in go to school and get an education or you'll be doing a job that's not so fun when you don't have someone else helping you out.

Nice video I love goliaths too. I know one that runs up in Salisbury ma , but i don't go up there much.

This is funny because madison just had there clean up and I got it on footage and it was 2 weeks ago today 5-28-16 and the clean up was 5-14-16.
Who was the local hauler that Republic bought out in the Lima, Ohio area? By the way in Holland/Springfield Township (suburban Toledo) on Friday you can catch Republic doing residential, that's where I live.
Never mind I saw it, Karl's Hauling. That company did the Tiffin, Ohio area where I have family history there in Tiffin and Republic, Ohio.
