Spring Series 2014: Republic Services 2024

This past week, Barberton had their spring clean-up. Here is the first of several videos I was able to shoot out there. This is truck 2024, aka Big Red Number 2. This truck came from Flint, Michigan back in the fall and is another ex-City of Flint Peterbilt.McNeilus Tag Axle rear loader. Like the first one, they took the tag axle off when this truck came in. These aren't bad trucks, but don't pack a whole lot since they are only 25 yarders. Granted, it's easy to say anything doesn't pack well on bulk... So anyway, sit back, relax, and enjoy watching this truck devour various items. Thanks to the crew for making this possible!

Excellent footage! This truck reminds me about the Las Vegas division of Republic Services. Almost every truck we have is red. This truck sounds awesome! Great catch!

Great video! Looking forward to more of them. I am surprised about 2 things. First I am surprised about how much of that bulky stuff they can fit in to that truck. I thought the truck was full a couple of times and then they shoved another mattress and a sofa in there. The second thing is that I am surprised about how gross those mattress were. I cannot believe that people were sleeping on them. The looked like the should have been trashed years ago.

Yep and never will... When you coming back out on 608? You know you miss it... why would you want to spend all day in a Curotto in Stow when you could have Big Red in this dump

Great Footage! Ive seriously gotten used to McNeilus RELs now, whether they're the Standard series, HD(Heavy Duty) series or the Tag Axle series! They seem to pack well with no problem! Cauz the 25 yrd McNeilus HD series REL that collects where I lived packed over several bulky bed items with the normal trash route with ease. But I agree, they dont pack to well when they're full. Quite a few drivers that I talked to prefer McNeilus RELs the way they pack. Thanx for Posting!
