I've heard alot of different things over the past few months hinting at a remaster and a sequel possibly e3 something might be revealed because rockstar has nothing at the moment it and I know there supposed to be saying what's next at e3
Not only is RDR the best game Rockstar has ever produced, it has also aged incredibly well. I've been playing skyrim on steroid-mods for almost a year now, and this still looks good on the PS3...
@@mrshadwoxz9981 no it isn't, stop being blinded by nostalgia. SA is objectively worse in every way than every game R* has released since. It was fun for it's time but it sure as fuck doesn't hold up anymore, if you stopped whacking off over SA because it had a stats chart you'd realize that so did GTA 5, and it did it for 3 separate characters too
Red Dead Redemption is an absolute masterpiece, the story is one of the most powerful ones I have ever seen in a game, you could spend hours upon hours exploring the gorgeous world, no game since has come close to it in my opinion, Rockstar Games are amazing developers, one of my personal favorite game of all time, a timeless classic 👏👏👏👏 Really hope it gets remade for current gen consoles 😊
Top ten game of this generation. Just started replaying it for the first time since summer of '10 it's so fun and engaging in both a narrative and gameplay area.. Great game.
This is the most detailed review for Red Dead Redemption I've seen period. GODDAMN IT now I need to get a PS3 or 360 by the end of this year, to play this awesome game!
after you finish the game and the credits are done do you go back into the game world with all the side quests and stuff or does it have a fallout 3 ending where you cant go back after the story is finished
Bandana to hide your identity... God I love this sort of attention to detail. Anyway, is there any major difference between X360 and PS3 versions of RDR controlling-wise? I mean, do they both control about the same?
@blindiris22 im currently on my 3rd time playing. You'll play the single player, then play the rest of the side missions, then you'll want to go to the multiplayer, then you'll want to level up, get the achievements, unlock all the outfits. This is a game you are going to be playing over and over again. With ur friends, by urself, the missions never get repetitive, plot line is sweet. amazing game.
@xxBIoodBIadexx wrong. Spagetti westerns were called that way because they were made by Italians although they have american actors as long as italian ones. Movies like "Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo"(the good, the bad and the ugly) or "Per qualche dollaro in più" (For a few bucks more) or even "C'era una volta il West" (Once upon a time in the west) all have american actors but they are spagetti westerns.
I remember buying this game on release in 2010. My friend stole it a year later but Xbox just had a digital sale for it and I got it for $20 on demand. Replaying through is even more fun than the first time I had with it.
I really want to play this game, but chances are they are going to release a GOTY edition in the next couple of months. So which system should I get it for? PS3 or 360? I don't have a preference; I just want the one that looks best/plays the smoothest.
@RajonRondoooooo I bought this game a couple of weeks ago and I can't stop playing it. I haven't heard about a new one, but you will honestly not regret buying this. There is so much stuff to do - I ride out into the wilderness just to see what will happen, because something always does! Let's see - I'm enjoying it as much as I enjoyed GTA3 on the PS2, if not more. I think that's pretty high praise!
@TheMossad921 there is tons of things to do like: bounty huntung, animal hunting, horse capturning/riding/...,playing poker,blackjack,...,random events, herd breeding,.... You can have multiple outfits like lawmen suit, american army uniform, rancher clothes and you can wear some separate clothes like a poncho, mexican hat, bandana,....
either they didn't explain well or I fail at paying attention to the popups on the top.. I still don't know how to use dead eye targeting. anyone care to tell me the controls?
@AwesomePossum5 it actually was only four years after the main story I think. Even though the son looks like he's in his late 20s, the grave marker for his mom, I think, says 1915 and it's a new marker so i'm guessing that's the year you play in.
@MrTURBOJOHN 1.PS3 is cheap for running almost any game. 2.I want to refer here to the exclusives. For example GT5 looks better than ANY PC game. 3.Agree here , but I personally prefer the controller than the mouse. 4.A few Seconds , I'm using a wireless keyboard. Thank you.
Ohh I get what you mean. They said stealth would be back a lot in ac4. But in ac3 there was stealth but people rarley used it, it's hard, a lot of the time pointless, a lot easier going into a all out fight. But I do agree with most of what you said. AC1 and 2 had pretty good stealth.
My friend had this and i played for a few hours, each corner turned up something new, from me accidently runnng my horse off a cliff, racing a train, putting someone infront of the train, taming horses, to hunting, I always found something new to do just for fun within the few hours i played it, i didnt even do the missions i was so content with roaming and having fun. (of course i will do them to proggess) and im getting Red dead tuesday
@Crocksmeat It's absolutely worth buying. Put it this way. I bought Assassins Creed Brotherhood and played it for about 20 hours. I must've played Red Dead for well over 100. I liked the last Assassins Creed but there's very little to do compared with this.
Red dead redemption is by far the best western game out there. It might even be one of the best last gen games too. And we can’t forget about the undead nightmare dlc. By far my favorite dlc in any game.
this is xbox right ? i can see a clear deference over the ps3 which i have , day seems much more brighter as it should look but on the other hand in this version night seems like the old movies where night was filmed at daylight with the apropriate film/lens but still looked fake , dunno i may be wrong but thats my two scents
@bradsecor yea it was really sad when John Marston got killed during the final fight, and then you have to play as his son Jack, except if you thing about it, it doesn't make sense how time passes about 20 years, and yet the landscape and towns are all the exact same as before, so in 1931, these towns didn't exist anymore, so that's kinda dumb, but other than that this game is the best game I have ever played.
@taciturnboy88 yeah do those choices actually really change anything? how do you know its not just the same thing that'll happen anyway, i guess you could play the game again to find out, but anyway I just cant wrap my mind around spaceships and all that
I'm on my second playthrough of the sequel right now and I had forgotten how addicting it is. RDR2 is definitely one of the best games of the PS4/Xbox One generation
@MrTURBOJOHN That's true too , but I heard that in the future , they will try to make ALL the games premium. And by the way , if u take a photo with a premium car is pretty hard to say it's a game.
@freddyzcount90 You have to go in the very north and northeast and walk across the river there. So the river that springs in tall trees and goes into the lake by the great plains. If you move around there you will somtimes see beavers there. that's what i did, hope it helps
10- GET IT FOOLS! 9.5- Bonerific game, a must buy for most people. 9- Amazing game, just need a few adjustments, still a must buy. 8.5- Great game, alot of people and fans will certainly buy it. 8- Good game, recommened for some people, but mostly fans. 7.5- Good game for mostly the fans. 7- decent game, you gotta appreciate the goods over the bad. 6.5- meh... Yeah this deserves a 9.5
I'm getting this game in a few days and I can't wait, but I'm also kinda worried cos I've never been a huge Western fan and the sountrack doesn't sound like something I'll hugely love. The good thing is though, that it does have an open world and undead stuff plus most people say it's a masterpiece,so I bet it's gonna be a lot of fun.
Hyun4eveR On a Xbox 360 is the way to go, i know this by swapping my PS3 edition of the game which has undead on it aswell.... Its the game of the year edition.
you and i are completely different people its crazy. huge western fan, favorite video game soundtrack ever. but i've never been big into open world games or zombies, however, red dead is still my favorite game of all time!
Everybody, I have this game, and it's safe to say that the auto-aim is not as bad as you think. I was skeptic about the auto-aim in multiplayer before i bought this, but now Im not. The auto-aim online feels natural and smooth, and doesnt feel like everyone is getting too much of an advantage. It flows well and when i play it, it feels fair. But even if you cant get around this, the game also has Hardcore and Veteran modes which minimize auto-aim (Hardcore) and completely get rid of it (Veteren)
Well it's definitely challenging if you want to complete everything and get 100% completion...that was definitely one of the most time-consuming and difficult challenges that I've tackled as a gamer, but definitely worth it.
Wish they remade this game for XO, PS4 and released it on PC. One of the best games ever made.
we dont want a remake, we want red dead redemption 2
yourcrapp Even better, a remake and Red Dead Redemption 2
GhostMotleyXT
Amen brother! that would be awesome!
GhostMotleyXT I do want a RDD 2, but I will buy the remake one if they actually do it.
I've heard alot of different things over the past few months hinting at a remaster and a sequel possibly e3 something might be revealed because rockstar has nothing at the moment it and I know there supposed to be saying what's next at e3
One of the Best Games ever made. Do I have to say much. This is a 10/10 for sure
How can you not love this game?
check thinreaper's review , you can't not love the game unless you nitpick.
Facts 😊
Not only is RDR the best game Rockstar has ever produced, it has also aged incredibly well. I've been playing skyrim on steroid-mods for almost a year now, and this still looks good on the PS3...
Per Eriksen Listen to TOM LEYKIS!
Per Eriksen I don't think so GTA SA is obviously the best R* game
Per Eriksen - RDR is one of the greatest games i have ever played but I have to agree withMrShadwoxz that San Andreas is Rockstars best.
@@kummakummakummakummakummac8606 wrong lol

On my opinion best game this generation and one of the best games ever. I will never forget it!
Back when gamespot reviews made sense.

Better than GTA V
Yes
Both fantastic games
Yes
How do you put that hat? 2:13
I played the entire game with one horse
Me too😍
let me guess , the war horse .
Top ten game of this generation. Just started replaying it for the first time since summer of '10 it's so fun and engaging in both a narrative and gameplay area.. Great game.
best game ever
How about the trophies? Is it hard to get the platinum?
Kicked a dog.
Dog bit back.
Dog got shot.
*-50 Fame*
you just can't kill a dog, is wrong in any level.
whistle near a dog , dog follows you.
What a solid vid.rev! Truthfully, I tend to prefer them being a fair bit shorter; but this was a stellar one!! Thanks, and kudos to all involved
This is such a fun game, it`s awesome
This is the most detailed review for Red Dead Redemption I've seen period. GODDAMN IT now I need to get a PS3 or 360 by the end of this year, to play this awesome game!
this game is just awesome
Awesome review, was this played on X360 or PS3?
best game ever?
best game ever
the "Dead Eye" mechanic looks different on this video then when I play. Is it different for Xbox and PS3, a patch update, or am I missing something?

man i love watching reviews for games i already have
can u make a person in multiplayer or do u get a random character? and do you still earn money in that mode?
so i have ps3, and i rlly want this game, will the be a new one coming out soon?
@xxBIoodBIadexx wrong. Spagetti westerns were called that way because they were made by Italians although they have american actors as long as italian ones. Movies like "Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo"(the good, the bad and the ugly) or "Per qualche dollaro in più" (For a few bucks more) or even "C'era una volta il West" (Once upon a time in the west) all have american actors but they are spagetti westerns.
Do you have the ability to replay missions once you complete the game?
I remember buying this game on release in 2010. My friend stole it a year later but Xbox just had a digital sale for it and I got it for $20 on demand. Replaying through is even more fun than the first time I had with it.

is this game recommended for me to buy and can u skip any of the cutscenes that may be offensive?
Do people still play this online?
And do u need dlc to go online?
I rly wanna get this one for m bday
Is their still a strong multiplayer community? Is it still possible to platinum?
@WorgenInATopHat if you did get it what would it be on Xbox360 or ps3
whats the background music from 1:31 to 2:26. =D

Does anybody know where the hell I can find BEAVER FUR? I've searched alot at Thieves Landing, but I just can't seem to find it!

@RamboSonik its the bandito outfit you get it later on in the game
Two questions to all of you:
Is there a lot more to do besides fight?
Would this be fun to someone who doesn't like call of duty?
is this a prequel or a sequel or red dead revolver?
What I dont get is that in the first one his name was Red

still playing
Your s'possed to complete in 20-40hrs? I completed mine in 9hrs... But i was only doing the story...
I wonder what would happens if you shoot the enemy in the groin in a duel?
Can you also 'drive' carriages?
does anyone know how to get the outfit at 2:26 ?
