Hey man, great video, I just picked this saw up yesterday and tried it today running a 5ah 20v XR and it cut through anything I threw at it!
Just one thing, you gotta stop calling it a “skil” saw. Skil is a brand name.
My DCS575 has one. Guess they were updated since you last checked. They have been updated again with a 13%+(?) increase in power. Will be sold in a kit with 9 Ah battery. Recip saw was also updated. Maybe one more FlexVolt tool.... For sale next year.
The flexvolt saws were updated last year or the year before and they have rafter hooks.
YotaMatic Experience sweet thanks for the info. I guess I have to go shopping 😁
Do you know if it was updated in the uk?
@@BenP227 yeah a few years ago they updated them, good to go
Worked with mine a couple of days, after 10m cutting it taps out. A little weak in my opinion.
Hi Brad. Much appreciated if you could tell me if that saw makes a slight rattle or clicking sound when lifted up and down? This is when like you pick it up to use it, before you turn it on. Thanks. Good review! Best!
I bought my flexvolt sidewinder a few months before this video was made and it does have the rafter hook so. Idk all the dewalt circular saws I have, have a rafter hook on them.
thats great that they are doing that now. i only have one rafter hook out of 3 different saws
Hi Brad,
I hope dewalt can make this exact model with a blade on the left side. They have the flexvolt rear handle but it's too bulky. The top handle feels better.
Also be nice if Dewalt can up grade their 6 1/2 circular saw already.
Thanks for the video
Michael C hi Michael. I totally agree! I love the 6-1/2 saws but the power could be better that’s for sure. Thanks for watching bud
@@hammerandhome The 6 1/2 is just as powerful as the 7 1/4 if not more
Hi, nice info video! can i use a mitre saw blade like the DeWalt DT1670 on this circular saw? looking for a fine blade to rip plywoods, thanks
They do make finishing blades for skill saws. you might have to hunt around for one.
Circular saw! Max depth at 90 degrees is 2-9/16".
we also call them skill saws, its become a generic term, thanks for watching
Milwaukee makes a left and right handed saw.
I appreciate that😊
They make a left handed and a right handed saw that's why.
I wish he’d stop calling it a Skill saw…cos it isn’t. It is a circular saw. It is as bad as calling all recip saws “Sawzall” and every cleaner a “Shopvac”… This is muh Skillsaw made by DeWalt🙄. and this is muh Chevvy made by Ford 🙄 At least he gets it right in the title!
Lol , I think every trade person I have ever met calls it both a skill saw and a circ saw. It’s like Kleenex, we all call it that but that’s the brand not the product. But thx for watching
Cheers
