    Really like the new graphic format; most pleasing and clear. Yes, the stretch from Galesburg, Illinois to Chicago is the Burlington. Cheers and keep up your thoughtful research and thanks for making this so much fun.

      It has been that way since the burlington northern merged with the santa fe railroad.

    Amtrak's version of the California zephyr uses the donner pass instead of the feather River route.

    The Exposition Flyer crash is why the 79mph speed limit was imposed on track without cab signals and automatic train stop.
