I have to say bro. I fucking love you. I was stuck on this for like almost 2 hours and ur vounting method made me do it in three tries. Thank you so mutch my dude. Thank you
This minigame has basically put me off the game, got to this about 2 weeks ago, spent HOURS trying to do this, so I stopped for like a week, came back, got to 47 without messing up ONCE!...he still beat me with 49!...It's been a month since I last played.
Jules will always keep up with you well. You pretty much have to do this perfectly in order to be successful. As far as a controller is concerned, just remind yourself that they retail for $70.00.
You can turn off the resistance on the adaptive triggers in the game settings, I think it was called "Trigger Effect Function." Turning it down (1-2) barely effects the resistance during the minigame so set it to 0 to turn it off. It makes it a bit more challenging to do the green half press because there is zero resistance but it makes the rest of the mini-game A LOT easier because you don't have to squeeze as hard, can press the triggers faster, and your hand wont tire out.
I swear game devs get offended by sections people hate from their last game and double down. This shit is miserably unfun and idk why they'd add it, lmao.
Rebirth didn't need minigames, full stop. Except of course for the ones that were involved with story beats. They took something that's gonna be an instant classic and turned into a lowkey troll fest
Same but it's the yellow one for me I rather get the green ones but tapping down on the triggers instead of the bumpers tire me out fast and then outta nowhere Jules is from 5 or 6 away to 1 😂😭
For those having trouble with the green button you just want to slightly press it not all the way just a little bit til it fills up then press it normal
@@Welle-xw6kpthe problem is my brain and fingers are struggling to sync. Once my brain sees it not being yellow, my fingers can’t stop being in yellow mode lol
Thank you so much !! i won 55-51 😭😭😭 Muting music and dialogue helped so much as everyone said too. Advice for anyone else still not getting a high score even without mistakes: after about 2 special triggers (yellow or green) go as fast as you can with the 1234 method and only slow down once the prompts come back and then pick the pace back up
I kept messing up at the end because I was going too fast 😂😂😂 my brain was fried I got 51 to his 49 though called him a bitch and said I’m Never doing this again 😂😂😭
My tips for those who can't complete the game (esp at the last stage with Jules): 1. Do not fail even once, if you failed, retry the game because he will eventually beat you 100% of the time. This stage will not tolerate any failure. You are just wasting time if you are hoping you could catch up. 2. Always start with the button for your most used or most nimble hand. Example, if you are right-handed and you feel more comfortable tapping or half-pressing that R2 button with your right hand then continue on with the challenge. Otherwise, retry immediately to reset it until you got the button best for you. 3. Pay attention, do not panic when he is ahead of you for a few points at the earlier part, because this game is programmed to have mercy on you, as long as you stick to your button mashing without fail, he will be the one that loses it near the last minute for you to catch up to him and beat the game.
for those who already beat this, remember jules will return in part 3, this time with even bigger challenge, crossfit competition, 3 different movements, each one 1 minute, total 3 minutes without mistake to get trophy
Few hints that worked for me 1. Turn the volume off 2. Turn adaptive triggers to 2 in settings 3. If you mess up once just retry it no point in carrying on the set he will cheese you 4. He maxes out at 49/50 occasionally so aim for 50/51 5. After 20 reps the speed doesnt quicken but it doesnt slow either so maintain a steady pace when you get to 20 reps and dont try and go too fast
I did it after hours literally hours I did it tips I found worked best for me will make me sound like a lunatic but here they are and I hope they help any poor sod like me foolish enough to attempt this cursed minigame:- 1) dial down the trigger sensitivity to 0 it can make the greens trickier but the yellows much easier it'll save your fingers to, the trick to dealing with the greens on such low sensitivity is to slow down on the green and be slow and steady. accuracy over speed on this one. 2) find a button sequence that works best for you and never attempt the one you don't like, retry the minigame to get the layout that feels best for you but stick with one to build up that muscle memory. 3) turn off all sound even beeps I found this helped me 4) chant the rhythm out loud the one thing I found was that I would lose my rhythm after a yellow or green section but if you are chanting out loud in a way that helps you remember button presses e.g. 1,2,3,4 it will keep you on rhythm. the rhythm I chanted was L1/R1/Left/Right I used Left/Right instead of L2/R2 so that I didn't get mixed up between L1/L2 etc when I had to regain my rhythm this helped me not get mixed up as I was speeding up 5) follows on from the last one as you are chanting the rhythm I rocked from left to right as I was pressing L1, R1, L2, R2 this helped reinforce the rhythm 6) I blue tacked paper on my screen to cover sections of the screen so that I wasn't distracted I covered up the timer, Jules and the number counter these were just distracting me. I realise all of these weird steps make me seem like an absolute lunatic and I invite people to laugh because I realise they are absolutely weird for the sake of a video game but if they help anyone out there get this damn challenge complete they're worth it, remember take breaks from this challenge give your arms a rest and try again later, your body will thank you, if an idiot like me with blue tac and paper on his monitor can complete this then you guys can. I wish you the best of luck smoke that sweatband wearing arsehole!

I was having fun with the ’date’ with Aerith, got to the cutscene on the beach. Jules and crew appears Me mentally: *Vietnam flashbacks!* Me verbally: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Some people recommend turning off haptics but I found the green circle prompts WILDLY inaccurate with them disabled. Since missing even a single prompt means you will not beat Jules, I would personally recommend keeping them enabled. Literally the first try after I switch to performance mode I managed to beat him, so not sure if that has any effect as well or if it was purely a coincidence. Suffice it to say, I hope meteor impacts the planet in the third game and Jules alone is the sole casualty.
I tried this challenge about a week ago and got so frustrated that I ended my session. Came back last night with a clear head, and I beat Jules by counting front front back back to keep my rhythm going. Was so pumped to get the Champions Belt only to realize that what I already had equipped was better. So.. bottom line is that the challenge isn't worth the frustration.
Put it in performance mode. The extra frames per second make this easier. I got 56 to 49. Beat him well and good. Mute music and dialogue but keep sfx on
Am I the only person who thought that they nerfed Jules in Rebirth? Remake took me several days, and in the end I had to put a towel on one side of the screen and turn of all sounds except the beep. Rebirth Jules, an hour or 2 with just practice. It was challenging but not impossibly hard.
Took me about 30 tries spanned with a day break from being frustrated after tying Jules with 50. Counting helped, and lowering the triggers to 1 helped too. Managed to finally beat him 52-50 without messing up
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Counting 1, 2, 3, 4 helped me! First try using this method netted me 60! Also, if it helps anyone else, I set the music and voice volumes to 0, as they were distracting.
The best advice is to just skip this stupid mini game. Who in their right mind put this into such a wonderful game. Could have been a-okay without it. Come on Square, don’t over think stuffs. Nobody asked for this bs.
Gotta say, it sounds stupid but counting it out loud really helped me beating it. Also I failed one when there were only 11 seconds left, I thought I lost just Jules failed too and I won by one
I am literally being stopped by the rapid press. I mash the button as quickly as I can and I simply cannot make it past the 2nd guy because I only correctly complete rapid R2 about half of the time
I beat him after about 40 tries. Here are a few tips that really make it easier. 1. Sets the volume of music and voice output to 0 in the settings, but leave sound effects on. 2. Place a towel over the left side of the screen. This way you won't be distracted by Jules and you can concentrate completely on Tifa. 3. Set the adaptive triggers to 0 in the settings. This way it doesn't become more strenuous to press the buttons over time. 4. May God be with you.
I finally beat it. I know my suggestions might not help everyone, it's unique to each person but muting the volume helped me out tremendously. Idk maybe the music and noise gets me too jumpy and i make more mistakes. I also found setting the trigger effect to 1 helped. You want some resistance or you'll end up pressing the green button too easily and not hold it in a slight position but if the resistance is too high the buttons are too hard to mash quickly. I'd suggest playing with the resistance to see which one works for you best. Some people suggested 0 or 3 but because what I mentioned before it was throwing me off with it set like that. Good luck my brothers still stuck on this bs mini game, I feel your pain but maybe with a little tweaking to the settings you'll find your rhythm with this too.
What irks me the most is the random button sequence changes. Why don't just give you the option to select one instead of wasting time retrying over and over until you get the one you want?
champions belt not worth it. this most annoying minigame in the game and they know it. skip champions belt. genji earrings, genji ring, fury ring much much better. hell, even level 1 acessorys, riot vest, armguards have better stats, just check!! full throttle armguard, u get from just analyzing two springs, give +10% strength and 500 hp, which at 5000 hp base is same as 10% hp. At 6000 hp, its like +8% ish. so way way waaaay better than champions belt.
Touch the R2L2 (green button) lightly squeeze it/or pull it back then gradually pull back with same slow motion by the time the button fills around in green R2 or L2 whichever er button it is should be pressed in. Try that
The way my hand shakes when i finally beat him 50/49 after 5 hours of trying. No more. This is torture. Edit: but anyway thanks for the tips. It really helps though I think after 5 hours of practice it has become muscle memory for me.
Here's my tips. Turn off vibration. Turn off trigger effect function. Mute the volume. Do count out loud 1-2-3-4. Speed is key. If you get pass 50, it's not guarantee but you have a good chance of beating him. This is from someone who just beat Jules and I suck at rhythm games.
Out loud really helped. Saying bump bump trigger trigger out loud worked first time. (Was saying it in my head before) First time counting I started focusing on what button was number 3
Did after many attempts and rage quitting. Was beyond frustrating especially cause I tripped at the finish line multiple times. Ended going 52/49 from what I can tell 50 is the magic number never seen him going past 49. Muting the dialogue and musing helped. All I can say is don’t give up and pray to RNG Jesus you don’t get back to back green button. Also for me saying left right left right helped.
Pro tip when I did this in final fantasy remake. I covered half of my TV With some bedsheets So I didn't get distracted by Jules and that helped me beat it
You want a little resistance for the green button press though because its easy to accidently pull the trigger too hard all the way. Set your haptics to 1 or 2
@@handsomeDRACthis is exactly what I did but only after many failed attempts at the 0 trigger setting that I realized I needed some resistance to prevent me from pulling trigger all the way when the tempo speed increases.
I’m not gonna lie after I beaten him in FF remake I was afraid that if there will ever be part 2 that I will have to face him again cuz he is the true boss and the hardest trophy and today my fears came true when I helped him to protect his gym, yay no workout game but little I know the girl came up and decided to face tifa! I was like oh shit here we go again 🥹
The worst thing about the minigames in Rebirth is how many of them require perfection. Aside from the chocobo races you basicly can't make a single mistake or you will have to start over again, sit through dialouge, or short load screen and countdown etc. What helped me a lot with this one is to go into the Playstation menu and swap the shoulder button with the face buttons. That way you can just play the game with your thumb.
I spent 2 hrs and done it eventually.😭😭😭😭 Thing is .. 1-Count out lound!!! 2-Mute TV sound 3-reduce trigger effect 4-Shinra soldiers costume (Bikini ruins focus!!) I started to hate my controller….I still don’t finish piano minigame due to analog drift problem..😑😑 Shit!! Do I have to buy a new controller?
Finally did this BS. I covered Jules with a blanket and I also covered my score. That way you can concentrate on not messing up. The trick is not to mess up. Take your time. Focus on pressing correctly and you’ll pass it. You need to score at least 50 to win. I turned off all music and voices. The pattern starting with R1 was the easiest for me because I am right handed.
After about 30 mins of trying I entered a flow state and didn’t miss a single prompt. I lost 46-50. Screw you Jules. I refuse to continue the game until I have beaten a certain task I am on.
I beat this 59-49 after several tries, and maaan I hate when game devs do this shit; the guy and literally fck up twice and still win. You on the other hand can't fck up a single time, maaaaybe once if you're lucky and can gain that speed back buts its usually 1 fck up and done.
Thank you Good Sir! Counting out loud finally made me beat this awful minigame. By far the hardest of them all. I’m on the road to platinum this game. At this point I’m cleaning everything on the first playthrough to prepare myself for hard mode.
The out loud works. Was doing it in my head before, and kept messing up. Took about half a dozen tries after I started vocalizing, but it was tried and true.
It took me some time to get this down, but all these tips are great. What I recommend is to try not to focus on Jules _or_ Tifa though. Try to stare at the center of the screen and focus solely on your controller button presses while counting 1-2-3-4 to yourself. Only break concentration when you see the 3rd button light up in your peripheral vision for the hold/mash mechanic; resolve it depending on which mechanic it was, then focus on your controller and rhythm again. I finally got my platinum trophy an hour ago after finally completing this minigame. Good luck!
I lost count on tries, somewhere around the 3 hour mark and still can't get past 16, lucky as all get out if I even make it to 20, usually fail around 4 to 6
Managed to beat him on my third try idk how but i just wore a hoodie and had it cover my left eye so i can just focus on tifa lol. Who ever thought of the green prompt tho needs to be slap lol jk

Another tip, turn the music and voice to 0 while doing this. The music combined with them that keep speaking is so distracting.
(Was saying it in my head before)
First time counting I started focusing on what button was number 3
Did after many attempts and rage quitting. Was beyond frustrating especially cause I tripped at the finish line multiple times. Ended going 52/49 from what I can tell 50 is the magic number never seen him going past 49. Muting the dialogue and musing helped. All I can say is don’t give up and pray to RNG Jesus you don’t get back to back green button. Also for me saying left right left right helped.
Follow the boob bounce it actually helped me beat it and prevented frustration quitting
Pro tip when I did this in final fantasy remake. I covered half of my TV With some bedsheets So I didn't get distracted by Jules and that helped me beat it
he only gets a max, so if you do over 50 you will always win. so i do not even care about him.
The real best strategy is to turn off trigger resistance to get it much faster that way he won’t catch up to you
You want a little resistance for the green button press though because its easy to accidently pull the trigger too hard all the way.
I was like oh shit here we go again 🥹
its a pity sephiroth didnt kill jules in part one so we never had to duel his ass again
This was such a horrible grind. So many of these "minigames" were truly awful to complete.
One more tip
If after retry ..it changes the button sync..then again restart till it comes back to L1-R1 synch
Wear the Shinra Infantry outfit if the Boob jiggle mechanics is too distracting also lol
I spent 2 hrs and done it eventually.😭😭😭😭
Thing is ..
1-Count out lound!!!
2-Mute TV sound
3-reduce trigger effect
4-Shinra soldiers costume (Bikini ruins focus!!)
I started to hate my controller….I still don’t finish piano minigame due to analog drift problem..😑😑
Shit!!
Counting in my head worked flawlessly. After a load of failed attempts I beat it on my first try counting.
I beat this 59-49 after several tries, and maaan I hate when game devs do this shit; the guy and literally fck up twice and still win. You on the other hand can't fck up a single time, maaaaybe once if you're lucky and can gain that speed back buts its usually 1 fck up and done.
Minigames are supposed to be fun. Who the fuck tested this and said:”I think players will have great fun with this”?
Thank you Good Sir! Counting out loud finally made me beat this awful minigame. By far the hardest of them all. I’m on the road to platinum this game. At this point I’m cleaning everything on the first playthrough to prepare myself for hard mode.
My games gotta be fucked up cuz when that green comes i double tap or hold, she just falls down.... wsste of a fucking mini game
Jules better not show up in the next act. That’s all I’m saying. As soon as he showed up in this game I was like “oh no…..”.
I thought I’d never have to suffer through this again after Remake, until they brought it back… screw me
I’m just pissed because I got perfect twice. But my hands don’t move fast enough.
Turning off the music and npc audio helps focus on the beep counting. It makes it slighty less harder
Finally beat it. 54 sit-ups. I think this was slightly easier than the gym challenge in the first entry
Anyone see Jules reappear in this game and think "oh not this f**king guy again" 😭
Honestly counting 1,2,3,4 really helped thank you
Did it with the girl qon will not do it anylonger :v good luck to u all I am not signing gor this
Id rather do Queens Blood over this argh i never liked this even in Remake
HATED this mini game!
Worst one in the freakin series!
Mute your Tv and you will make it with no Problems
Why i always fail the green hold button
I put the game on mute too but this was great advice
The out loud works. Was doing it in my head before, and kept messing up. Took about half a dozen tries after I started vocalizing, but it was tried and true.
The pattern is what messes me up. It’s so annoying
I hated this mini game in the original ff7
None of these videos never help no matter what
I prefer this to that stupid cactuar crap
Is there trophy in this on console?
Yeah i aint doing this no chance
I cant even beat ronnie
The green button!!!!!
I was actualy easier than i thought did all in about 30 min ehen i realy tried, at about to finisht chapter 10 with all mini games all done for now, all most all done woth cosmos canyon beside a few side stuff
