- these are my first games after patch 1.05. xiaoyu feels kinda the same but damn that hop and throw nerf really hurts more than it should cuz i like using it to cancel into other things :( i wish the hop would have stayed homing but the grab could be sidesteppable idk lol anyway gotta adapt to it now that we're stuck like this for a while.
things i noticed how xiaoyu is affected in this patch:
-hop and throw tracking REALLY sucks against the wall, and is weak vs enemy sidestep moves
-since heat bursts are sidesteppable and parriable, xiaoyu's sidestep aop and parries (b3+4, and hyp) become good answers
-aop 3~4 hitbox nerf is definitely noticeable lol

oh don't ask me about tips on climbing 🤣im surprised im even this high ranked. i spiritually feel like im blue ranks still. i just have fun with xiaoyu and that's how i got up here i guess lol
Fair, her playstyle never gets old 😅 always something new to try haha
haha if you want an honest answer, i'd say just lab and study xiaoyu specific matchups. upping your fundamentals and matchup knowledge is key to winning. i also adapt and change my playstyle. if the enemy is defensive, i apply cancels and mind games and see how much they know about xiaoyu's many setups. if the enemy is offensive, then i use xiaoyu's evasiveness as an advantage
Input question here:
So you know the combo (2:53) that involves UB3 then UF3 (from aop) after the spin how are you connecting F2,1 ? With a micro dash it’s very hard not to input FF2 instead
Oh no, it’s not a micro dash haha, the enemy is too far to micro dash then f2,1 I pretty much run into f2,1. Think of it like ur running to f2,1 after the tail spin in tekken 7
