    I'm glad you called it 'the landfill' instead of 'the garbage'. Ever since I saw one in a small town, I do the same.

    Nice way to repurpose the cases. Much better than tossing them out......Take care, Bluefin.

    Those containers have recycling logos on them but the last ones I tried to take to the recycling centre wouldn't take them. You're a smart cookie giving them a second life 👍

      Thanks and yes your correct black plastic is not recyclable here either.

    Great idea Steve. I had a great big DeWalt case that I gave to goodwill. I should have kept it to pack out deer ha ha ha. Good stuff buddy.

    I have saw videos where people use them (cases) for making solar chargers. Good Idea. Thanks for sharing your thoughts & ideas. Could be helping many. Thanks I still use my containers because it’s just more easy for me.

      Its a good way of finding things to reuse because as soon as you throw it out you will say hey I could have used that :)

    Very crafty Steve! I do tend to keep my tools in their own cases but I have a couple from tools that bit the dust. I might make a tool case for my little one to stop him running off with mine 😂

    • @SteveRobReviews
      @SteveRobReviews  6 лет назад

      Thanks and that's a great idea as i had to have my own tool kit when i was a young lad . It was an 8 quart vegetable basket but it was mine. LOL

    Great video Steve! Those cases are to good to throw away. You can find something for them that’s for sure. I use milk jugs for washing my paint brushes out with, I use Ryobi tools and they always come in a nice canvas bag and I put my Manuel’s and different things in them. Thanks for,sharing your idea too, it was a good one!

    • @SteveRobReviews
      @SteveRobReviews  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks Becky and the milk jug idea is a good idea too. I bet lots of people would like to see that too and not just throw them in the recycling bin.

  • @BruceLyeg
    @BruceLyeg 6 лет назад +1

    Don't be goofing around with knives Steve! I had a bunch of plastic cases from various tools that I was saving that I just got rid of when they had a "big bin event" here earlier this summer.
    Good idea!

      Its hard to find a tool in a case anymore it's all bags. Were always thinking Eh :)

      In the last house I had I built shelves in the bathroom, put up tongue & groove paneling on part of the wall and put a tile backsplash in the kitchen. It all turned out beautiful.

    Once I buy the tool the case normally gets sold at a flee market for a dollar. In a few cases I kept the cases (ha ha). Especially when there are a lot of small parts associated with the tool. But as usual, I like your approach to how you re-purpose something.

      Yes and show what you can think up. I seen one on an atv attached to the back on a set of aluminum tracks under the rear rack to put stuff in - I thought it was a good idea and waterproof.
