I found a goyard wallet on the ground while walking my dog once, it only had one credit card and a ID. The person on the Id lived kind of far away so I tried to send it in the mail but for whatever reason I found it sent back in my mailbox a few weeks later, even tho I double checked and saw the address I wrote was correct. I figured whoever lost this had replaced the replaced his card and Id so I just kept and used the wallet. Later my brother saw me pull it out and was astonished like “wow, when did you get a goyard, that’s a nice wallet”. He’s younger and into fashion and looking good while I am more of an outdoorsman, have a beard, kind of scruffy, and work in a machine shop. That was 5 years ago and I’m amazed at how well the wallet has held up, it’s like new still with all the crap I’ve stuffed into it, but doesn’t have a mark on it unlike every other wallet that gets worn and falls apart within a couple years. Because of how well made it is, I decided to look it up and was flabbergasted to find out it was worth almost $400!! The most I’ve spent on one was like $20. I did some research and am 99% sure it’s real. Never thought I had some designer brand thing in my back pocket, I just thought it was a funky looking wallet worth maybe 10 bucks 😂
The fact that they remain private about their customers and they don't try to appeal to the hip hop culture is why they will last longer than Louis Vuitton. People aren't really looking for "quality". They are looking for the brand, and the attention it draws. They only claim to be interested in "quality" in order to justify the exorbitant price they paid for their luxury name-brand goods. ‘Revealing what goes behind the scene would spoil the magic’ Do they mean sweatshops in Italy where refugees/migrants are overworked for few pennies or how the tote bag (+$1000) would have a manufacturing cost of around $30 ?
Been had goyard since 2014, back then it was extremely hard to get a belt ( you had to order from Paris) so I got a small wallet $470 out the door. Still use it to this day! One of my favs in the collection

Everyone I see who flexes a Goyard wallet has the st. Sulpice in brown because they can’t afford a st.Marc or saint pierre or getting it in a color. They never mentioned that getting a goyard piece other than brown and black is a couple hundred dollars more.
The ones I bought before were so expensive that I didn't dare to use them because I was worried about scratching them; but you don't have to worry about the replicas because the *condup* itself doesn't cost that much hahaha
I first heard of Goyard from Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool. Paris Tokyo, Gold Watch, and Dumb it Down were the three notable tracks where he references the brand.
Goyard tote bags are not really crafted in accordance with price and exclusivity level. I’ve only seen two, but both fell behind LV neverfull in terms of durability.
I had a coworker ,that had it. It started looking not very nice after few months. Other coworker was wearing cheaper Furla bag for years and it was in great condition.
I love Goyard. The flagship in Paris was closed last year when I went due to protests so I didn’t get a chance to visit. They still do not sell online but are taking phone/internet orders since the pandemic. I however don’t feel Goyard is an investment bag like a Hermès for example. I’ve seen lots of resales online for the same amount or more, that you can get a new one. The demand is just not there to make it an investment.
I really love Goyard don’t get me wrong, I even think it’s more beautiful than Louis Vuitton, but the quality isn’t there.. I know it’s hand painted and all that, but I’ve bought their wallets in the past several times and they get worn out in less than a year! I thought that’s because they’re “handmade”. But Hermes wallets are handmade and I never face this problem. The other issue with the material is the canvas, don’t even think of getting it wet! The paint will fade. Goyard is beautiful but horrible quality !
Goyardine isnt painted by hand anymore. Only The Custom ID is. I had my Goyard Cardholder for 2 years and I bought it used. It was still in perfect condition:)
The Goyardine canvas is supposed to be water-proof. The Saint Louis tote, for instance, can be used as a beach bag with the Goyardine canvas out to carry your towel and beach stuff. But you can turn it inside out (plain canvas out) and put your wet swimwear and damp towel in the tote with the coated Goyardine canvas inside. I've carried my tote this way for years and used it as a beach bag, diaper bag and travel bag and never had issues with the coated canvas getting wet. Once, I even spilled baby oil on the plain canvas side of the tote and was upset I won't be able to get rid of it. But I gently washed that part with a damp cloth with a bit of soap and rinse it with another damp cloth and the oil was gone!
For me Goyard's quality is better than LV but in general it's best to buy good quality leather. Other luxury brands get slept on because they aren't flex pieces. When I was 18 I liked Louis Vuitton and Goyard, now I do my research for quality luxury goods.
Wise Memayor Often times the last letter of French words are not pronounced, this is because it produces a “hiccup” in the pronunciation of the word. (Go-yarr) sounds much smoother than it would with a “D” at the end. Another notable brand with a silent letter at the end and strange pronunciation to foreigners is Louis Vuitton. It’s pronounced (Luu-ay) (Vwey-tonn) Hope this answers your question, French language is funky in its own sense and is quite confusing to say the words correctly. If you have any further questions, I’m more than willing to answer them! :)
Honestly, I'm conflicted, I would love to be able to afford and flaunt this kind of luxury, but as someone who needs to save up for these kind of purchases, it's just a canvas messenger bag for thousands of dollars... one could have one made custom out of leather by an artisan without the name branding for half that. At least Goyard is legitimately more exclusive, considering the quality control and lower production numbers, but still.
you'll never, ever go wrong with choosing to find an actual artisan to design the pieces for you. You could buy a Goyard, but you could also get something perfectly bespoke, and probably multiples of it if you go to an artisan leather crafter in your area or in an area known for their leatherwork. Goyard is a flex piece for people who value artisan craftsmanship. Goyard products are legit BIFL. But if you're not in a position to flex, get something solid, bespoke, and support local artisans in your area.
@@flipxd I definitely agree, but funnily enough I now carry a Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 everyday and feel a lot less conflicted about designer bags if I can get good deals pre-loved. It's interesting to think about now versus when I commented as it was the height of the pandemic and the market has changed a lot. I'd still love bespoke pieces but in practice I've found it easier and even cheaper to shop consignment and sales, at least where I live.
Goyard makes plenty of leather goods. They just happen to sew monogramed canvas on the outside, but I assure you the whole body is leather. I own several items (Anjou, watch case, notebook cover, desk pad, wallet, and another tote) and they are all made of leather. I guess all the entry level stuff is has a canvas soft body construction. All the leather items are top quality. Not Hermes saddle-sitched-by-hand quality, but high quality nonetheless.
Thought about coping a goyard belt reversible, but when I called the store the lady informed me that they no longer make it. They gotta keep the exclusivity I guess.
Goyard is known for having paper thin canvas though. I've watched numerous reviews from luxury channels saying that their totes had easily developed holes.
All of them have the St. Louis tote. The cheapest one. You need the Anjou tote bag which is another $1,000 but lined with their supple leather and is more durable.
True, the St.Louis is the least expensive one you can get, also one of the only ones that you cam buy right away. Very thin leather handles, canvas lining, etc. You compare that to a Crossiere or Boeing and the difference is huge, both in price and quality.
@@gonzak1 if the most basic/cheapest product of a brand is terrible then that says a lot about the brand's viewpoint on quality I'm not buying from a brand where I have to buy their most expensive product in order to experience quality. Especially from a LUXURY brand where quality is supposed to be paramount.
Interesting. I have seen the Goyard’s pattern for many years, but messed it with Balenciaga. Shame on me. Interesting history and, definitely a high desire to visit the boutique.
It’s just a bag. A bag that society has put a monetary value on. Think for one second. All these high end brands exist because “we” allow them to exist. People pay insane money just to show that they can afford it. None of these so called name brands are worth the amount of money they cost. Most celebs and entertainers get these products FOR FREE. And in turn the company gets FREE ADVERTISING. You don’t need this stuff. It’s all vanity
Seems that a certain type of music artist a taking a liking to the product. It doesn’t exactly seem congruent with brands desire to remain elegant and understated. I wonder how this will affect the brand over the longer term.
Two of my besties wore this guy tote bag! Both of the strap torn off like its really embarassing, shit is that expensive but it just snap off like that. Goyard been famous in indonesia since yesrs ago.
Their trunks would be the only thing that's worth the investment since they came before LV. I inherited my grandpa's goyard trunk and it's been holding up well for many years. I'm not so sure about the current quality now, but yes, Goyard has been around Asia for many years! Most of the Thai elites who are far richer than celebrities, socialites, and both actors and actresses are usually seen carrying Goyard trunks and briefcases vs. LV and Gucci.
Both FLP and Goyard are not 'new' in any way! They've been everywhere around here in Europe and even in Asia for decades!!! Why is everyone making a fuss about these brands just now?
I agree, however it’s not because of the canvas, but because of what they use to coat it with, it’s a very thin natural resin and it doesn’t hold up. They also need to make their handles stronger, I can’t use my 5-year old Saint Louis anymore because the bases of the handles are all cracked and I’m afraid they might break apart :( That said, the buying experience was absolutely amazing and still memorable after all this time.
I feel like no one has done more for Goyard this decade than Rich the Kid (pictured in this vid but not mentioned by name) all the comments suggest this video is coming out years late and its because Goyard as it exists in pop culture is declining in visibility in accordance with Rich's new music not being well received

Thats what i heard also. Better save up for Chanel and Hermes.
Hermes tends to use leather coated with plastic, or a more durable material than leather.
For me Goyard's quality is better than LV but in general it's best to buy good quality leather. Other luxury brands get slept on because they aren't flex pieces. When I was 18 I liked Louis Vuitton and Goyard, now I do my research for quality luxury goods.
Take that LV🎯
Love that red go yard bag 💼
1:03 his voice perfectly matching with the bass in the beat tho
This whole video sounds like an ad for Goyard
just bought my first goyard bag and this comes up in my recommended
is that a good or bad thing...
The phone know all...🤷
No you didn’t
Is this an ad?
no
A$AP Rocky really do be putting people on to certain brands like goyard, rick Owens, RAF Simmons, Maison Martin margiela. Hood by air the list goes on
Green Goyard on small leather goods looks so niceeeeee
These videos are so hype and crisp! Nailed it!
can i get a video on how to make trunks? because there are no videos out there
Its pronounced goyar the d is silent... this guy....
Then why is it there
Realy? So I can ask why you don't say the S in LOUIS VUITTON?
Wise Memayor Often times the last letter of French words are not pronounced, this is because it produces a “hiccup” in the pronunciation of the word. (Go-yarr) sounds much smoother than it would with a “D” at the end. Another notable brand with a silent letter at the end and strange pronunciation to foreigners is Louis Vuitton. It’s pronounced (Luu-ay) (Vwey-tonn) Hope this answers your question, French language is funky in its own sense and is quite confusing to say the words correctly. If you have any further questions, I’m more than willing to answer them! :)
He also pronounced Hermès like Air-maze 😂

Goyard Bag 💼 🔥🔥🔥🔥👌 thank you Hypebeast for this content
Ain’t gonna lie, I own one and love it!
Goyard or go home 😂this should be there slogan
Am I the only one who kinda likes how these look?
Yes just you
Nope
Thought about coping a goyard belt reversible, but when I called the store the lady informed me that they no longer make it. They gotta keep the exclusivity I guess.
you had to go to differnt store... most of the shop keeper is lazy as fuck...
They discontinued them back in 17 or 18 I was trying to buy one then and the sales rep told me
GO YA. *Lui steps in hold my beer and go to the yard. Good boy.*
I personally think the pattern and designs are hideous, but the writing desk is rather ingenious.
Need me a Goyard Bookbag & a travel trunk 🔥
Could you please do a behind the hype video about Nike Air Force 1‘s ?
Yes. Hundreds for painted canvas.
Absolutely worth it.
GOT A GOYARD BAG I THREW THEM RACKS IN IT 🦋

The flex is not the bag ,
The flex is what’s inside the bag . 💼
@@gonzak1 if the most basic/cheapest product of a brand is terrible then that says a lot about the brand's viewpoint on quality
I'm not buying from a brand where I have to buy their most expensive product in order to experience quality. Especially from a LUXURY brand where quality is supposed to be paramount.
The D is silent
Goooya(h)
who cares
Not anymore! American pop culture states the "D". You're wrong.
What about Fentayl how much of that can it hide? Can you get it through airport securities?
This is exactly what I was looking for.
anyone know how much an entry level cardholder is? looking to go down to goyard london
400-500 depending what color you into
ultimate flex. couldnt describe it better
We have had a Goyard store here in SF for years. Everyone has the St. Louis.
Bruh literally didn't sub to this channel so how the hell did i get this noti and sub???? RUclips doing it's magic again huh

Cult Boy, shut up
What’s the model of the bag in the thumbnail
Damn! Usher looked GOOODT.
Used to have a goyard in 2017 and literally nobody knew wtf it was lol
Don’t think Goyard has the quality of Hermes tho
Go watch the devil wears prada
Seems that a certain type of music artist a taking a liking to the product. It doesn’t exactly seem congruent with brands desire to remain elegant and understated. I wonder how this will affect the brand over the longer term.
Is this leather or PVC like LV
I sure do hope they release the "behind the hype" beat during my time on earth!
Where can you buy goyard?
Swap meet
Only 6 Goyard stores in the US
Bro from the store if you live nearby one or from the site using the Vente à distance
remote sale in english i think
At one of their stand alone stores and some Neiman Marcus have Goyard boutiques within.
Sara01977 only the NM in Chicago has it. Bergoff Goodman in NYC. San Diego, Beverly Hills, Dallas and Miami are their own boutiques.
Thank you Lupe Fiasco the OG introduced goyard
He really said "it is for everyone"...
I thought Goyard was like a 2016-17 thing..?
Two of my besties wore this guy tote bag! Both of the strap torn off like its really embarassing, shit is that expensive but it just snap off like that. Goyard been famous in indonesia since yesrs ago.
Yep! Very popular in Asia for years now, i honestly think it's one of the ugliest and yes the least durable of all! Lol
Wow so basically Playboi Carti's whole brand is a Goyard approach to music
so it was founded in 1853, but it wasn't until 1834 that they moved to their flagship store?
Fauré Le Page is the new goyard.
This is a true statement. Even less people know about Le Page
Flp finishing is horrible.
The people who REALLY know Goyard know FLP as well. Goyard hasn’t done online sales strictly boutique, but FLP does.
Both FLP and Goyard are not 'new' in any way! They've been everywhere around here in Europe and even in Asia for decades!!! Why is everyone making a fuss about these brands just now?
tiza mania cuz these people just discovered it 🙄 in Sg (Asia) literally everyone carry’s them
Scams are a state of mind
The goyard’s canvas is pretty bad and thin therefore don’t expect it to hold up. You can go look up Goyard wear and tear on RUclips.
Thats true, I used to buy their bifold wallets every year and then stopped because they’re very cheaply made and they get ruined easily!
@@KuwaitiHabibi yea my wallet be have it for about 7 years has split and frayed
I agree, however it’s not because of the canvas, but because of what they use to coat it with, it’s a very thin natural resin and it doesn’t hold up. They also need to make their handles stronger, I can’t use my 5-year old Saint Louis anymore because the bases of the handles are all cracked and I’m afraid they might break apart :(
That said, the buying experience was absolutely amazing and still memorable after all this time.
"Big bag Goyard"
what about Faure le page ?
All I see is people living in their vanity
I feel like no one has done more for Goyard this decade than Rich the Kid (pictured in this vid but not mentioned by name) all the comments suggest this video is coming out years late and its because Goyard as it exists in pop culture is declining in visibility in accordance with Rich's new music not being well received
Organized Sound all rappers flexing
Love Goyard. > LV
The pattern is so sick
Want Behind the Hype for VLone please
I really want a pink Goyard bag
