If you are truly passionate about mechanical engineering, you must be in atleast top 10% of mechanical engineers and must have skills, at first your salary will be low but after 4-5 years you will earn 10-20 lpa and have a secure job as experienced and good mech engineers are hard to find

I am a mechanical design engineer can say that comparatively you will get a good job security but an average growth from salary point of view. Overall it can give you a stable life style which at some point each and everyone of us wants. Don't go on the packages especially of IITs and NITs, only few get those. Focus on continuous learning, it helps.
Hii i am a mechanical engineer too, i am interested in design but people say that the freshers level salary is 15-20k/month and even after some experience the highest salary can only be between 25-30k now i am having doubts to go for a career as a design engineer, can you help me with details of the posts and highest achievable salary as a mechanical design engineer? (In your case if possible)
@@shwetmakwana4028 Hi, Ya that's right. Fresher may get 15-20 K salary at starting...but see the mechanical design sector itself is very vast....it has a sheet metal domain, plastic domain, Oil and natural gas domain etc. You career and salary depends on the domain you choose. If you have decide to enter in design field then as a fresher I will say grab any opportunity that you get and learn industry trends, decide which domain suits you....get the salary details in that domain etc.....

But can you tell me your thoughts on Introducing AI to the CAD industry cause AI is trending right now in every field and software companies like autodesk are in their process to implement AI in their system so that the work can be done in an easy way with more numbers of alternate designs in less time. So will AI change the career of design ( or will it replace human designers?)
@@vinayakkadam9742 brother help me...i have got a job that is paying me 15k in hand but with an agreement for 3 years! I honestly have interest in software too but have experience in biw fixture design...i don't know what to do..kindly reply! Should i go for bond or not?

1. Average company with bond penalty -50k
2. 10x bigger company with bond penalty 5lakh
@@shwetmakwana4028 Their are lot more things involved in a design engineer's job apart from CAD. No doubt AI will make things easy in future but I don't thing it will fully replace the design engineers. It is nothing but a code or a program that is written to automate the things. So in our case to automate the "repetitive" design processes we will need a design engineer who know that process very well. Only the thing is we will have to learn programming languages to sustain in future. For example, we want to design a bracket then in this case it will be very difficult for a non-tech guy to write a code to automate a design for that, why? because he may not have the knowledge of material selection, types of loads acting on that bracket, types of manufacturing processes (very important) involved etc. Design engineer knows this stuff and so they will be required in future. Obviously, learning programming laguage for design engineers will be much better option than providing the whole design knowledge to a non-tech guy😅. Again, this is totally my personal opinion and it may vary from person to person. As currently the job market is little down so the engineers are quite frustrated.

Le me being a girl always wanted mechanical branch because of my interest in maths and physics not because of anyone else's suggestion and from 11th only .....before that i didn't want to do engineering bt interest in maths and physics .... couldn't help

Now the mentality is changing I'm currently in first year mechanical engineering (nit kurukshetra ), and my class have decent girls strength ,, so cheer up..
I got in nit arunachal and there are 23 students in mechanical out of only 3 are girls including me, very sad to see this gap. I'm feeling so homesick in hostel that I feel like leaving all of this behind and go home.
