I have given GATE in CS and EC both so I can say that EC is definitely harder. The subjects are complex and require much more attention to grasp. However, CS has a lot more number of candidates everywhere so slowly its getting saturated as evident by huge layoffs in CS/IT sector. So choose your poison. If you explicitly like coding and mathematics then CS is for you and if you like physics more and can withstand the complex subjects then EC/EE is for you but you have to be good at whatever you choose. And at the end of they its advised to do what you really like, that way you wont get bored too early.
cse then will require more skills like specializations in modern day fields like ai ds ml , qc etc layoff is for those who are mostly from non reputed institutes and no skills
I am an Electical Engineer myself too, I truly agree upon your thoughts regarding the subjects that this branch has, Me being a constant learner who always would tend to learn from standard books during my engineering , even i realized at a point that Electrical syllabus is just not worth being there in the syllabus for students to learn. I mean they got such old syllabus and unrealistic derivations that i feel is truly unwanted and totally crap to be honest. Subjects like EMD, HV are like hell, I'm sure professors are also still in their learning phase of this subjects. The amount of Math in EEE is immense and without the knowledge of integration and diff i guess none of the derivations are going straight to anyones head. SS , DSP, Control Systems all these require immense hardwork to learn them. TandD is just not worth it when u have a 2 to 3 page derivation which has all kinds of concepts of physics related terms immersed in them.

I was graduated in 2014 in EE branch. 10 years back, engineering graduates are coming in large numbers but with zero skills. We wasted our sincere efforts in grasping knowledge with zero skills and that was the biggest mistake i have done. If i learned some skills in place of GATE preparation I will be in good position now. I was good in academics but was not able to grasp electrical machines concepts because this subject needs practical approach to learn concepts. Not a single enginner after graduation is able to do winding connection of single phase induction motor. I again did a mistake to choose non technical subjects for competitive exams and finally working in government sector where my academics study has no role in office work. I have wasted my precious efforts and i have regret why i cannot progress in one direction in my field which was my passion.
The main problem is most of the IT companies do not prefer them . Electrical Companies do not hire them directly without having any experience. They prefer diploma rather than a btech. Neither electrical nor IT prefer them . 70 percent graduates of them try to convert into IT . 20 percent do non gate masters in Electrical. After that become unemployed unemployed. 10 percent worked in post btech research in hardware and software related field ( CS-EE) . These people get success in the long run .
As a recruiter for last 15 years, as a computer sc student from JU 30 years back and father of NIT comp sc student my suggestion to young kids- If you are really intersted in maths /computer science please get admission in a good college in any branch . No difference whether you are from mettalurgy or computer science, collect class notes, study 1/2 hours daily will get more than 8 CGPA. Then manage four hours daily for computer science -1) Study C from youtube and discuss with your college friends to clear doubt 2) Learn OOPS concept and C++ from youtube and discuss with your college friends to clear doubt. 3) Practice DSA questions from leetcode 4) Learn DBMS from NPTEL . 5) Operating system-learn from youtube, Participate in competition. I mentioned good college as intellectual environment is critical for young kids like you. If you do not be expert in comp sc/coding in 4 years do not blame your department, blame yourself,. My junior in NIT Nagpur is a fantastic and excellent teacher. His concept is crystal clear and explains very well. he is ju btech, iit kgp mtch, phd, can not reveal more, hints are enough. Everyone is talking about CSE, IT, these branches are slightly apart from physics/Science, these are technological branches. While electrical, mechanical, civil, construction these branches are main engineering branches (Yes technology but greatly engineering). You will get high taste of physics here 😂😂. Laws of physics everywhere. In electrical you cannot see anything. You have to analyse by principles,Flux, current, voltage etc. and their interactions. If anyone weak in physics/Science, then electrical is tough for them. It's not Branch's fault. It's your fault. Go and take CSE , IT etc, if you can't tolerate core physics.😏

If you've got skills you can make it in any department, any field. EE is no exception. Plus, due to electrical engineering being considered difficult, EE grads have great reputation for being great problem-solvers and are very readily accepted in other domains as well.
Hi. I am an electrical engineer. Surely, certain topics may seem difficult and even absurd at first. But if you have the patience to delve deeper and be persistent, you will discover how amazing Electrical Engineering is. I would suggest you to see NPTEL videos to grasp the concepts. Obviously, it is up to you to decide which career path to take (be it software or something else). Anyways, I wish all the best to you.
@@nda2o228 Don't get me wrong here but most of the people from EE go into coding mainly because of two reasons. The first being, it's what most juniors see their seniors doing. The senior students do it because it is generally the "quicker" way out to making money. You can slog hard for 6 odd months to get a well paying job in software. Whereas getting a well paying job in core (that pays on par with product based software companies) is very difficult especially if good core companies don't visit your campus. You may need to slog hard to get a good rank in Gate for securing admission in the top branch in top IITs/IISc. Thereafter, you also need to perform well there to be in the top of your cohort for getting the high paying core job. To sum it up, it is at least costing 3 years of hard work to get a well paying job in the core sector. Secondly, in India, there's neither much awareness nor willingness in the students to know about the opportunities in the sector they are interested in. Most of the people have herd mentality. "Monkey see, monkey do" as they say. They ask their seniors/relatives (who themselves don't have much idea) about which path to take. For instance, just ask your trusted aquantances about the opportunities in Electrical/Electronics field. I am sure, you will mostly hear only about PSUs from them. But there's surely more to it. P.S.- All the opinions are my own. Please do not be offended if you differ from my opinions. P.S.- I did bachelor's in EE from tier 2 state college in Maharashtra. Now, I have finished my master's from one of the top premier institutions in India. I will be joining as an Analog Design Engineer at a reputed company from next month. So, I definitely know the struggles of an average student aiming to make a career in the electrical/electronics field.

But I love the toughness of the course work. I wish it was even more tough. Because I just want to make tougher circuits hands on. I'm an electrical engineering student but whatever this girl said is WRONG about Electrical Engineering. Talk about electromagnetism, she's definitely WRONG. The whole course is not pointless. If you don't know how much current you're outputting, you'll instantly blow some capacitor right away. F=ilB sinx. If B is high, the current is low. These are critical things to analyse a circuit.

Im taking EEE/ECE/Only Electrical. It depends. CS definitely not because of ChatGpt.
@@electricalisfuture5008It is actually the future. Robots need designs more than code. Code will be given by AI.

I am getting Confuse Between Electrical and Chemical Engineering Please Tell Me Which Is Best
Both are best but it is based upon your interest and future scope
@@uchatbhavya-fj3bm What if someone is from tier 3 college but good in skills

In hostel ,he taught C to philosophy student
I am getting cse in my 2nd yr,still I will choose electrical engineering
exactly, if you are not good in maths and physics why did you choose engineering, go study medical or arts!

If you've got skills you can make it in any department, any field. EE is no exception.
Plus, due to electrical engineering being considered difficult, EE grads have great reputation for being great problem-solvers and are very readily accepted in other domains as well.
👍👌
Yes bro those are very helpful for private college students like me...😊
Is there career in electrical engineering? Because I saw all electrical engineers into coding stuff only
@@nda2o228 Don't get me wrong here but most of the people from EE go into coding mainly because of two reasons.

And congratulations for your placement...best wishes for your future endeavors.

I confused to take ECE or EEE but my bro clarified me in ECE coming days going to be more innovative and improvement in communication so we need to develop our knowledge everytime but in EEE same basics..current always follows the same theory no changes in it..always standard principle so i've have joined in EEE 😅 if u agree with ur subjects and just learn the basics the core side job gives u the most satisfaction that u won't get anywhere..now I'm working in indian railways as ALP( electrical OP dept) I love EEE ❤

In mechanical engineering from NIT Silchar or other can you sit in placements for tech companies like other cse students do or it better for electrical engineer to sit in placements in tech field on campus in NIT ?❤️❤️
Off course, you can sit in tech companies. Like HCL, Microsoft, google cloud….they are allowing…

Although Electrical Engineering is one of the toughest courses. That doesn't mean to demotivate or make it look like impossible. You just have to put a bit of more hardwork.
