Tell her you need this "Viewing Glass" as a safety item to monitor clutch plate bolts and oil level so that it does not run dry and cause irreparable or much more expensive replacement/repairs.
Yeah, it needs to be on blocks as well - I'd say 2 inch blocks under both wheels. But I only left it for 5 minutes on the block before I started so leaving it for half an hour or more should help 👍
I didn't notice any difference but I now have a yamaha mt10 which I decatted and had an ecu flash - it runs noticeably smoother after the flash so I think I'll always remap bikes if I remove the cat. I wouldn't say it's essential, but it's definitely worth it.
I sold this bike a couple of years ago now but from memory it definitely did briefly go cloudy when the oil got going, but I think it cleared pretty quick...
Not sure if you still have it, but how has it held up over 2 years? I'd love a clear clutch cover but it's always longevity that's the issue with them.
I sold the bike within 6 months of fitting this I'm afraid - constant KTM gremlins in the electrics. It was fine for 6 months, but that's probably not much use!
@@averagebiker Ah fair enough, shame, mine's been rock solid ever since i had it. Just wondered cos it's about 250 quid for one of these covers, would be nice to know if they'll end up with a frosted look after a year or 2 of usage, but if it stayed clear for 6 months thats a good sign.
Sold the bike now but it was fine while I had it. The window steams up when it's cold but clears within minutes of the bike starting. It was awesome - loved the look and loads of people commented on it!
I've watched some of these videos and some people experience leaks or even a milky fluid that smears all over the glass. Is that something you have seen or experienced?
As someone that fit transparent valve covers on my BMW R9T and straight up open clutch cover on my dry clutch Ducatis, this is gold and a must have
Ooh it's like watching the washing machine as a kid!😆
Wonder how I could spin this to make my wife think I actually 'need' this, because... I NEED this.
Get a better wife
Call it a safety item.

@@VideoMonster2 damn, that's good...
So nice
Buongiorno. Mettendo solo il terminale Remus, il sound cambia rispetto all'originale, o è pressocche uguale.
Do you remember what the torque settings were?
Afraid not mate, too long ago...
Great video. My clutch cover comes today for my GT. If you put the ktm only on the standard there wil be a lot of oil comes out of it ?

@@averagebiker thx for the info !
when you added the remus did you lose any low end power? Sounds great. Just wondering if the flapper valve (now removed) was for noise or for power?

does the glass window get eventually covered with oil or does it stay clear all the time?

So clutch oil isn't supposed to be spreading on the glass?
It does go on the glass, yeah. Tends to drip off fast when it's warmed up though
Hi, a long shot but I don’t suppose you have your original clutch cover and exhaust heat shield do you? I’m looking to buy. Thanks.
Sorry, sold the bike last year with all the spares.

Much was the cover?
Can't remember now but looks like they're about £250 online
how does it hold up after some time? no leaks etc??? is the glass still clear?

Only when he gets too excited! 🤣
No, but I didn't have it for long before I sold it
Holy fucking fuck. That’s reefdork.
😂
I honestly just landed on your video researching the evotech clutch cover and my mind was blown.

is the clear screen made of anti-scratch material? If you have your big boots on will it scratch it?
It'll definitely scratch but my boot goes nowhere near it and it's scratch-free so far...
Def not worth 250 bucks. But its still cool.
I think BMW IS BEST
