I keep my boat at Viking yachting center in New Gretna and I’m just getting started on my spring chores. I have to do the risers and manifolds on my 35 foot Chaparral before launching. Love your channel !
Thanks for the note! Good luck on your maintenance - hoping you don't have to battle too hard with rust and corrosion to get those old risers and manifolds off. Get that boat in the water!
Thanks, it really does take a lot of work. I'm very thankful that my crew has been helping the last several years. It's a bit too much me by myself anymore.
The blue(or any colored, probably) hulls are so hard to keep looking good. Our sundeck is the same blue, so glad we bought a white hull sundancer though.
There is no doubt that white is easier, but to me nothing beats the look of a blue hull. Much like a black car, they are really hard to keep up, but nothing looks better when they are clean!
Thank you! I use Presta Cutting Creme for buffing with a 3M wool pad. A couple years ago, I started experimenting with the Presta Hydroprotek ceramic coating and have had really good luck with it. Need to re-apply every few months, but it eliminated further buffing when I used it on the topside. This is the first year we are using it on the hull.
Thank you Scott! We used a zinc spray paint - I think Rustoleum made it. Its like a light galvanizing coating. I wound not normally do this, but the Admiral did not like the rusty spots, and I'm trying to delay purchase of a new anchor to next year :-)
That's more your style.
Now I know why Bridget likes the blue, I think a dark hull is beautiful.
Thanks Ron. It’s a shoulder killer, but I love the way it turns out.

Your boat looks amazing, also great videos on your channel! What did you use to paint your anchor?
