Very nice video Bryon. I've got a Q too, but it's video's like these I aspire to. Thanks for sharing.

This is the kind of stuff the Q500 was made for, and you wield it well.

Thanks! I just really enjoy flying - and the Q500 is about as user friendly as they come.

Wow...very impressive! Great quality video. Did you have to do much to the raw footage to get these results? I am a newbe to arial videography but I am about to pull the trigger on the Q500. I have been learning on the Hubson and UDI quads before I get a real one and I think I am ready to move up now. The Q500 appears to me be the best value in its class. I subscribbed and can't wait to see more of your work...Thank you! JB AKA:High Flyer

      JB,
Thanks for your comment! I didn't do any type of post processing or RUclips stabilization to get the results you see.
The Typhoon is really geared to produce nice video straight from the bird. The CGO2-GB shoots 1080p/60fps, the three axis gimbal does a nice job of keeping the shot steady, and he Q500 is large and super smooth in response to your input. Its not very fast (with GPS active), but this adds to the quality of the video - it's very cinematic in its motion.
Your comment about beginning on other quads is a good idea - its definitely good to learn the controls on something less expensive. But I'm here to tell you that the Typhoon is so forgiving - and would be friendly to any beginner.
I'd say its much more stable than my Phantom Vision.
Thanks for subscribing. Hoping to post more this week.

this is why i bought one, there are two things about my video recording, my white balance is off, as the color is very orange(ish) and very green at times and two, the video files are saved or partitioned in random sizes as in i am not starting and stopping the video recorder but it is saving the files when i play it back like i am.. if anyone has a solution??

I just read this in the downloadable manual and I have to ask.. do you do this? Can you NOT fly this drone with FPV working during the flight?
WARNING: NEVER attempt to fly the Q500 via First-Person View (FPV). There’s a slight ‘lag’ in the CGO2-GB streaming video downlink to the ST10, and
as a result the streaming video/FPV should only be used for aligning camera shots and not for flying! Attempting to fly via FPV can result in a crash that will
cause damage to the product, property and/or cause serious injury.

      Hey Cory,
Yes... you need to be very careful flying FPV with this system. As they say in the manual there is quite a bit of lag between the camera and display - I'd say almost a full second! Not sure if this is something that Yuneec can fix with firmware or if it's just the nature of the CGO2?
Part of this could be the resolution of the FPV. The display is very clear without much pixelation (much better than the highest setting on my Vision). This higher quality feed may require more time to process - therefore high latency. Just a guess on my part.

Byron Sanderson Thanks for the info Byron. I am seriously trying to figure out a way to get one of these. Question if you don't mind, how good are the .jpgs out of the camera? How much compression are they using, any color profiles being used, ie sRGB, Adobe98? Anywhere on the web a guy could download a full resolution sample? Thanks.

      Cory Shubert
I have been enjoying the video so much that I haven't really dissected any stills yet Cory.
Looking at a group of jpegs from several days ago, it looks like they all come in around 2.5mb and indicate sRGB color. I see no indication of compression - but I must admit I am not a photo attribute aficionado and may be looking past that info.
I do not know where you can download a full res file online, but I would be willing to send one to you for review. PM me your email address and I will fire one off.
