ya know im curious to hear what you think about this basic idea for an arcanist build i had which essentially uses armor master and death dealers fete as well as the masters greatsword to boost the cleave dmg with proly a back bar healing staff honestly so i can not only provide some bonus healing to myself and my group easily but also provide constant chances to proc from the brink so i can help keep the group safe along with my primary dmg shield being the chakram with proly the i think it was, overflow staff with a different option also being to run back bar sword and board for the low slash ability than for the last 4 slots, 1 trainee, 1 druid, and 2 endurance to get basically the near full benefit and I THINK more than plague break tho i still havent checked to see if it actually is more but still, the idea is to basically boost THE HELL outta your health and in a way that not only doubles your major resolve whenver you use your armor ability but also gives you a bonus 5% health for having the armor ability slotted so that you can still get the bonus 10% from wardens toughness whenever they throw that out tho there is also the possibilty of running this gear combo on a warden instead if you want the toughness bonus instead but than you lose out on the arcanists dmg shields and dmg shield bonus. lastly you would also run vampire and use your pick of swarming scion or perfect scion for that juicy bonus 10k health when ya need it for 15 seconds hence why you would want low slash. honestly its an idea i think could be fun on the premise alone of seeing just how big of dmg shields you can get as well as just what the max amount of health is as well which also is why a nord or imperial would be the best choice for their innate health bonus.
oh and one other alteration if the more knightly theme aint yer speed or you would wanna focus more on magicka, you could run a front bar ice staff for its dmg shield on heavies as well as MUCH cheaper taunt that also will throw out major maim and use the pragmatic fatecarver since your jacked health stat would proly make that ones dmg shield crazy as well XD
Had someone in my guild go on a rant against me because of the pragmatic fatecarver skill in this build (or my version of this build). Said they would drop a group if I was tanking with a dps ability slotted. I think some players are too stuck in their ways to see how generally capable the arcanist is. I think the devs made the arcanist as a way to draw in more tanks -- because you CAN do damage while also fulfilling all the tasks of a tank... while also being self-sufficient. I can play all content with this build, don't even have to swap out for overland. It's good!
This build is actually genius. Thank you for coming up with this great idea of a build. I've been running it all day and I'm addicted. Keep up the great work. Love all your content. Hope you have a great day.
Happy to see im not the only playing these damage/tank hybrids now. I've only been playing eso for about 8/9 months but all of my builds are hybrid tanks just for different classes
I'm assuming this'll only work in relatively non-difficult content as a tank? I just can't imagine 32k health is even nearly enough to deal with tougher DLC on vet, let alone trials?
Also the zenas empowering disc could be bigger than 8 meter. 8 meter in some situations doesn't feel good. If you're tanking a boss and drop it underneath you it will barely hit the rest of the group
Luckily with Zena's the buff persists after people walk out so it's forgiving in a lot of situations but difficult to apply as a Trial Main Tank sometimes - but there has to be some sacrifice for having a single skill that replaces 5 slots of gear for the same thing
@TheTankClub that is true yes. But 8 meter does seem a bit weak. 10 meters would be perfect i think. But i don't think they will change it to 10meter. Also because i think arcanist is better as a main tank than off tank because of its unique taunt buff. So 10 meter would make more sense.
Just what I needed! I am currently having a blast leveling up my arcantank. And I take Sharp with me on my journey's and treat him like a average pug player who keeps standing in the fire. hah.
Is this actually a good tanking build for dungeons etc. I’m trying to decide what class to pick as a tank, but I also want to be able to dps. Is this a good one to start with? Is it timeless? Is this a good option?
What heavy set is a good alternative to perfected pearlescent untill i can farm it? Preferably something that can be vendored. Or the O.G Ebon gear from crypt of hearts? Thanks in advance.
You could craft some Order's Wrath or something like that as an alternative, although it's not really beneficial for your group. For something group beneficial maybe Torugs Pact
@@TheTankClub Hey thanks pardner, I'll give orders wrath a look. I'll also look at all the stations to see if there's any 5 pc jewelry/weapon that will benefit group until perfect is farmed.....Thanks again and Happy Tanking Y'all :)
The survival seems incredibly low on this tank so I imagine this isn't ideal for hardmode or more difficult DLC content? I mean if you have a good healer and you can keep up this kind of damage I can see it being really beneficial
@@PapaBear3030 makes sense, it could still work for that if the group was made properly. It's much more about the whole group design than one person's build. I've been working on something that could do that for all the difficulty modes
Great build, I've always love playing solo at my own pace but with this build if I want to do a dungeon for whatever reason I can easily check in as a tank, I really like the flexibility. Could this work with a frost staff?
Thanks for the comment! 100% would work with a staff, I was toying with the idea of using a staff while making the build but struggled to fit all the skills onto the 1 bar. Decided to go with the simplicity of the Sword and Shield which also helps to regen Stamina via Heavy Attacking if it's needed whereas you couldn't do that with a staff.
@@TheTankClub What would be some good abilities to choose to counter the lack of oakenoul? And by the way can this build tank all content (including vet trials hm)?
Doesn't have to be, I only use Caltrops because I use Powerful Assault. For dungeon content I use Caltrops on every class of Tank because it's such a great AoE skill with the AoE Major Breach and Snare.
@@TheTankClub Same. If you want to tank, you MUST level up the two PvP skill lines to 9. Just go to PvP and find some damaged walls, repair them, and you will level in no time. You then can leave PvP, never to return. But you need a few of these skills, and you need the one passive.
Any crafted gear alternatives? I only PUG the base dungeons. So your “meta” is out of my reach. Lol. My current favourite set is the Leeching Plate + Bahraha’s Curse combo as I miss the old NB Sap tanks.

I just want to say, I love the fact that you made a tank that still uses the Arcanist's signature green laser. I love that ability.

These accolade style builds are legendary, thanks for your work brother
Woah. So much available here. Well done. Cheers!
Hope you enjoy the build!
Build looks fun!
Definitely going to enjoy this now before inevitable Arcanist nerfs.
I expect some changes but hopefully nothing too drastic 🤞🏼

I just wish the rune pull had a longer range than 15m. Nice easy build to use though.
I agree, would be awesome if it had the range of Chains! I guess that's the sacrifice for the Minor Vulnerability 🤷🏻♂

The pa I already have sword shield ice staff and jewellery do I need to use the pa armor? Or is that more of a cheaper version?
Hey will the build be good for the endless archive?

as a new player who is leveling arcanist, can i copy this build?
Can you start making this build after creating new character and it still be viable to level?
This build would be perfect to use while levelling and then getting into some early game content as a Tank
Is this still viable?
Hello! Can anyone PLEASE help? Should you be Vampire as a Tank? Would help the passiv ore is the more sustain to worse?
No you shouldn’t! Unless you’re an OP endgame score pushing Tank, you should not be a vampire
If I don't have the trial set is there a other set I can use with powerful assault
Use the crafted set Orders Wrath in the meantime
Ok thank you
How do I get the caltrop ability?
It's from the PvP Assault skill line
@@TheTankClub damn I don’t really enjoy PvP guess I gotta do it tho thanks!
What is your outfit it’s amazing
Its the Nord Hero Armor Outfit with Stonekeeper Weapons!
Will this work with 2 bars?
It will but you'll need to find something to replace Oakensoul which gives you a lot of benefits
@@TheTankClub What would be some good abilities to choose to counter the lack of oakenoul? And by the way can this build tank all content (including vet trials hm)?
Can you plz build a Arcanist PvP Tank
I don't really play PvP 😥
You can play solo, but you die too often. Survivability too low for dlc dungeons in veteran mode.
Lol he says In the vid the build shouldn’t be used for veteran dlc dungeons
My mind is blown by the billion gold and the 300 skill points. Is this actually doable or does he have some special setting turned in wtf?
It’s on the test server 👀
Makes it easier to test and put builds together before using them on live
My problem with Arcanists tank builds is they’re all centered on caltrops. If you’re just a PvE player and a new tank you won’t have this skill.
Doesn't have to be, I only use Caltrops because I use Powerful Assault.
For dungeon content I use Caltrops on every class of Tank because it's such a great AoE skill with the AoE Major Breach and Snare.
If you don't want to use caltrops, not going to use PA or don't have it yet you can use elemental drain from the destro staff to get your major breach

Where the templar tank build? You've done every other class, where's the updated Templar one? 😢
It could use an update but I have done Templar: ruclips.net/video/ss_bImUGIJY/видео.html

I have this for now: ruclips.net/video/PAYkfcdrte8/видео.html
Taki nieco wytrzymalszy, ale dużo słabszy jednobarowy arkanista. Nazywanie tego tankiem ........ No chyba, że na Fungal Grotto ;)
No monster set……..
