My uncle had an accident where he was paralyzed from waist down. He had a modified car to use only hand controls. You can do this. Love from Florida.

There was a flight school in Atlanta that taught wheel chair pilots how to fly with only hand controls.
I was surprised the first time I saw a guy roll up and slide into a plane.
I would be worried about getting pulled over everytime a cop sees me 😂

The instructor seems so nice.
They should have special made ‘boosters’ for short adults. That are properly made for higher weights that are safer. A pillow under a child booster seat can not be safe in the event of an accident.

Or adjustable seats & pedals that adjust for driver height. Actually, I believe that technology exists in most modern cars & trucks.
@@haannguyen4402 above 5ft is not needed with a booster seat. im 5ft3 and i dont need no booster. below 5ft is classed as dwarfism, anything above 5ft is average and then anything 6ft above is Anunnaki giant .

Her body overall looks evenly proportioned. She is really short but she doesn't look to have any of the medical issues that some dwarf individuals have.

For those mods? A few grand, but it's not unfeasible. The main issue is designing or modifying a car seat to fit her body. Extending the pedals and mounting that modified seat higher is relatively easy.
I think she would be better off driving with a steering wheel like F1 drivers. it's small enough for her to hold only problem no airbag.

I think it’s great she is driving. But being visually impaired and not driving for many many years now I can attest to the fact u dint have to drive to live in the city. But the more she does at a young age the better. I thought it was awesome!

I have been driving with hand controls since I was 20. I drive with the same hand controls.
Man I really feel like she's determined to feel negative about experiences. I obviously will never be able to relate to her but it is a shame whenever she is asked how she is feeling the mindset has been developed to be so negative. It's going to take a lot of therapy and rewiring for her to ever be at peace. Wish her the best
It’s not negativity so much as apprehension. I was age 40 the first time I flew an airplane and over 50 when I piloted a large houseboat for several days through a system of canals and locks. I was very apprehensive and I didn’t have the challenges this woman has.
I think better peddles and longer extension would be better then the hand controlled Chad and brake
Pedal extensions are easy. What she needs is a modified or custom designed seat.

A friend of mine in high school looked like he was 12 years old. He was pulled over by the police at least three times a day. He even went down to the local police station and asked if they could please tell all the police officers who he is. And they said no.

The seat is already forward. What she needs is the seat modified to be considerably higher. Modifying the pedals is relatively easy.

I drive my car with my hands sometimes, just get a car with radar cruise control anything over 2020 should have it. You can set the thing for 1mph if u wanted to. She might still need a hand brake tho lol

Shauna, you’re beautiful! I just started watching you on TLC. I just have one question, since when is your height a disability? You are a perfect human! You are in no way disabled!!!! Modifications are available for everything you need. You can do absolutely anything you want! It’s your world too!

If it impairs your ability to live your life normally, it's technically a disability. That said, she's got a mental maturity far beyond what her physical size might suggest.
