- Today we finish fitting the timing chain in this Volvo. Be sure to check part 1 in case there is information that helps that isn’t in this video!
Very clear photography and explanation and coupled with part one is an extremely good guide, if you were to attempt this job yourself.
Thanks for the comment 😃
Thank you for the video, it helped me a lot. I will be replacing the timing chain in my Volvo C30 1.8

Nice video! Can you tell something more about the friction washer for the crankshaftsprocket? I think there should be none on the sprocket or 1 behind and 1 in front of the sprocket, but it depends on the part number of the crankshaftsprocket. Which one did you use? And where did you get the sprocket for the oil pump?
All of these bits were direct from main dealer!
@@maxautouk "Thank you. For my understanding, the parts you installed are the SKF VKML 84004, SKF VKML 84603, two times Volvo 8694958 (friction washer), INA 544 0152 10 (Crankshaft pulley), and the oil pump sprocket from Volvo. I want to do this job on my Volvo C30 2.0 with the same engine (BS4204S3). However, there are not many online documents available for this engine, only equivalents from Ford and Mazda, but they all have their small differences.
