It’ll be a hard season to rewatch now knowing the mum mystery is a non event

RIP to all the believers who told us all of the plot holes would be answered before the season was through. It was bad enough for the rest of us, but do you all still believe, I wonder?

I'm glad to see another reactor I can relate to here. The whole thing about Ruby's mum being some sorta meta commentary about whovians wanting there to be a big mystery is really dumb when nobody would've cared if RTD hadn't made it an enormous mystery. We could've just said at the start that Ruby is adopted and doesn't know her mother, and that's it. Most people wouldn't question it. Russell MADE it an enormous mystery and encouraged the fandom to go crazy over it, to purposefully disappoint people. And yeah, Sutekh's defeat was pretty rubbish unfortunately.

So 73 yards didnt have a cutscene. What you see in the "memory" is the current timeline. What happened to Ruby was an alternate timeline. The TARDIS recognized she had met Roger, but was showing what he is in this timeline

Yeah I agree, very anti-climatic and a sad, flimsy plot. So many questions I don't think will ever get answered too.

Sutekh is still on the 14th doctor tardis when it got split

    • @WhoFigureAdventures
      @WhoFigureAdventures  4 месяца назад +1

No he’s not. That’s what RTD was explicit with that this is the original TARDIS when it split and Sutekh remained with it since Pyramids of Mars.

@@WhoFigureAdventures I agree. When Ncuti used the hammer to create a duplicate Tardis for Tennant as a prize for winning the game, Ncuti wished for a duplicate Tardis, and that's all. He did not wish for a duplicate entity of anything attached to the Tardis (meaning Sutekh)

I thought Ruby's ending was pretty disappointing tbh. We've had this big build up since Christmas about who this woman is, why she did it etc and then it just turns out to be a Jane Doe down the street... Russell obviously did it so he could have the emotional 10 mins at the end for the episode but it just felt disappointing and a feeling that he didn't really have an idea how he was going to end her story. But good review as always Dan :)

I was not happy with this endding at all and I am not MAGA. I am not right wing. I am just someone who was told to expect something big and it never came. Glad to see you give an honest reaction, there's far too many people shilling for this.

The most horrible things can be started over the most mundane things. So that does make sense.

Lots of nice bits but honestly, the whole story didn't make a lick of sense. Stuff just happened for no sensible reason. And of course, Ruby's origin is completely ordinary. She just makes it snow magically because, um, everyone thinks she's Significant®, or because Memory Is Time Travel, or some such handy-wavey wibbly-wobbly silliness.

15th Doctor is either extremely badly written or he will become the VALEYARD

I get why many people are underwhelmed, but I do think that modern audiences have been too used to everything needing to be some huge revelation. And this was an answer to that feeling. We all gave meaning to the mystery, as The Doctor said. We all wanted something huge and crazy, but in the end it didn't need to be that, it was alright that it was simple. And it wasn't that Sutekh was scared of her, it was just the mystery of it and the not knowing was making him crazy I guess. That bit was a bit weak but eh. I didn't mind it. The street sign thing was a bit hokey though, but eh, it's Doctor Who. And we already knew that this fixed point was somewhat malleable, since The Doctor said they couldn't land there again. So, that's probably why the memory was able to change, when her mother perceived The Doctor, she pointed at the sign. Though I do think this episode should have been two episodes to sit in the loss for a longer period of time and then have the win in the third part. The pacing was a bit quick.

You're the first one I've heard call It season 2. Everyone, including myself calls it Siris 14. I'm not saying it's wrong. It just sounds better to me to say 14. I personally don't like what Disney did with the numbering. As far as the episode goes I think it was awesome I don't care what everybody is saying.

A lot of people call it Season 1. At the end of the day it’s what the BBC are calling it so it’s what i’ve got to call it! I’d have loved them to have called it Series 14 but as it’s Season 1 it’s what i’m gonna go with!

@@andylikesstuffchannelRight? I’ve been watching since 2005. It’s Season 1. It’s what the rebrand is. Can’t change it to series 14 and onwards so i’m at least respecting it. Best we can do is

just a suggestion, stop reading so many things about the next season or future episodes, you just ruin your own experience of watching the show. Kate died and you were like oh well she's back next season.

Even if i didn’t, i wouldn’t believe they’d just kill someone like Kate off. I hardly see much from forthcoming series and stories than you’d think

you'd have to be a proper spoon if you saw Kate Stewart die in the first 5 minutes of an episode and assumed that was it for the character
