Grandpa is in his 80s and still going strong. I'd bet he'd outwork guys half his age! Cool to see a bit of your roots and where you get your work ethic from
I was just thinking about how I wanted to say & word my comment and while I was doing that, I happened to read yours. It's almost exactly what I wanted to say. To a "T" ! It was awesome to see some family background! And Grandma drove as well! So freaking cool! I absolutely fell in love with Grandpa! He just warmed my heart! Old school, old morals, old ethics, . . . We have that saying, 'Old School' that seems to get attached to a lot of scenarios. But when I hear that, I immediately turn to 'Honest", . . . Honesty & Respect! And with that comes hard work. Hard work to maintain that reputation of honesty that gains that respect. Which is something that our younger generations are lacking in. Not all, but most. Jeepers! To see Grandpa still going strong is not only amazing, but sooooo darn respectful. And you're right, Casey grew up with that, it is where his morals & work ethics derived from. All you can do is admire & respect that with nothing more than a high regard! No wonder so many of us love him as well as watching his videos! @Casey LaDelle ! I think a lot of us would absolutely LUV to see more of your family stories, An extension to the wee little clips we saw in this video!
Thanks for letting us meet your grandpa. He's an amazing guy (your grandma too)! Now we know why you know so much. You learned from the master. Best education ever! Buying a tractor unseen and finding no surprises speaks volumes about the salesman. Sweet WS, all it needs is some spikes to be perfect! 😂
With a wheelbase that long, I think it may get a few winches fitted and maybe an underlift. Good to see some background info on you and your family with the trucking and towing history, your pops seems like a legit dude
Hi Casey, I have been watching for a few years now. Keep up the great work. I work at a Western Star dealership in Ontario (Canada). Parts shortages are still an issue these days, so if you need an extra set of hands to help source parts for your trucks, feel free to reach out. I worked at Peterbilt for 10 years, and I have contacts at International/Navistar as well. So I might be able to help with any of those units too.
Casey's moooovin on up.....😊 The secret is out, You know what your doing because your grandparents knew what they were doing, good video on knowing how you got to be who you are, Good show❤ Don't forget spiked wheel nuts
Casey, your new truck is prettty cool and all, but the best part of this video was your visit with your grandpa and listening to the interesting stories you and he shared. ❤
Your Grandpa was definitely a role model Casey and laid the way for you to be where you are at now. You know every thing that has ever been invented regarding trucking hardware and hopefully invent or modify a few things of your own.
New to your channel and it's been a fun ride checking you out. Now in this video I realize you have multi-generational trucking genes! What a great thing to share with your rockin' granddad! No wonder you are so savvy at such a young age! Thank you for sharing!
I see a lot of nice older trucks for sale in california.they are too old and CARB or DMV won't let them reregister. So they have to leave the state for resale.
Lovevthis video to see this respectful and special relationship between Casey and his Grandad! What memories for them to relive! Those pink fenders are the best!
Absolutely love video, So glad that you still have your Grandpa And Grandma you are so blessed. Congratulations on your new truck. Can hardly wait to see what shenanigans are you're gonna get in, too. I can just imagine. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I REALLY like your on screen titles at the start of this video. No BS, just a lot of perfect descriptions of what's going on. Short, sweet and to the point. !!!! 😂
Casey, This video provided me quite a few laughs this morning. Thank you for filming your grandfather. I am just a few years younger than him and I have the same attitude as him. He is a treasure. 😄
Hope everything works out for the new truck. I bet your grandpa could tell some great stories. YES you need to get the bubble nose Pete running again!! Keep the videos coming, really enjoy your content.
I am intrigued by what Casey said up in the description about Edison and the BubbleNose.... with the way Edison honours the past, this is a project I'm sure they'd get on board with once they get up and running (assuming no other carrier scams them and loses their freight again)...
I could listen to your and your granddad reminisce all day. Makes me miss my dad, he's been gone nearly 30 years. He had the best stories and not the easiest beginning to life (born in 1918). But, people of this caliber don't even think of giving up. They just get it done.
Probably my favorite video... we're about the same age and have similar backgrounds. I was born just over the hill in Sacramento, I got my class 1 license at 19yrs old and I'm still out here running the highways of NorCal. Funny how I recognize every spot you videoed along the way. Absolutely loved seeing & hearing your grandfather and his fleet of classic iron. I really miss working with his generation of men who taught me the way. Brought back a bunch of memories especially of me getting assigned my first tractor 1988 COE FreightShaker and my first true love in 1991 a 3406B CAT. I trust you'll have plenty of good luck and fortune with that new handsome Star. Mike.
Have a diesel pusher with a Allison and your granddad is right after about 2 years driving I learned the rpm and speed it liked in certain gears and now upshift and downshift when needed.
I see the fruit didn't fall far from the tree with you and your granddad! It was almost like hearing 2 Caseys. I would adore your granddad helping you on some recoveries, it would be an experience all around. Congratulations on the new equipment, may you enjoy many happy safe miles in it. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe and GOD bless
Your gramps is awesome! He must have influenced you in the shove it department. 😅 i liked the 1 gun satute. He has a few awesome trucks in his lot. I like those old flat nose single cabs. Can't wait to see what you're doing next.
Love your grandma’s truck. I am 71 years old and a female and if I was a truck driver, I would absolutely love that truck. I love the colors on it and those pink fenders on it. Yeah, she’s my kind of lady.
Was a pleasure to see where your work ethic and skills came from. And to the haters? You've probably never done anything of substance except for yourself. Dont like it? Move along. Blessings, Casey. Safe travels till the next time. Peace to you and yours!
Hands down best video yet. You always have content I love, but Grandpa sold this one right outta the gate. Definitely made my day. I wish you /family nothing but continued success, and give gramps a huge hug. That guy is awesome.
The heck with all the big mouths telling you what to do. Keep true to being yourself and thank you to your grandpa for allowing us a peek into his life. Take care Casey.
I remember “grandma’s” truck passing me like I was parked somewhere’s just north of Sacramento… it’s where I got the idea for the purple fenders on my pete
Thank you for not subjecting us to unnecessary images of Seattle. I’d also like to see your grandad on a trip with you and Grumpy because the commentary would be golden.
Glad you got to spend time with your grandpa and your uncle. I didn't know you came from a family of big rig drivers, that is awesome. Your grandparents have some really nice trucks. I really liked that Volvo you showed us. Congrats on the new (to you) big rig Casey. Looking forward to seeing the shenanigans you plan on doing with it and the rollback once you pick it up.
Your Grandpa is an old time trucker. Not too many like him left out there. Everything about him says, "I am a trucker" and I love it. Nice looking truck you bought!! Can't wait to see it in action.
Well, NOW, I know what you're good at. Lotsa nice old time rigs there. I remember seeing those old Pete COE's going down the highway. Good getting the history lesson on your grandparents, and the legacy they left you.
Good for you Casey! Nice truck. I was hoping it had the auto 12 speed! Selfish reasons. New axles don’t like too much variation in tire heights so research the ones you have. Long wheel base makes for real truck drivers too! Great that you have your grand parents to still talk too! And make new memories while reliving the old ones! Good Luck on your next chapter!🎉
Seeing trucks that long baffles me, as I'm used to trucks that can be at most 61.5 feet (18m 75cm) including the trailer. They would be impossible to drive around town here, couldn't make half the corners. That's what I like about RUclips, it shows me how things work in other parts of the world. You've got more than enough space to turn that thing around in :D Nice ride!
Your Grandfather has some AWESOME trucks for sure! That bubble nose was amazing i have never seen one before and im 57!!! Also very very nice new to you truck cant wait to see whats in store for that big rig!!
I love your Grandpa's place. One trucker to another, love the old stories as well. Also, no trucker has ever dodged the scale house, nope, never happened, ever, no matter how screwed your load, or paperwork, just roll right up to the scale house and never ever route around. Ever. Also just had to pick up one of our company trucks, my buddies from TEC in Redmond, knew my way around from Casey's TEC pick up video. Thanks
Awesome new truck and great experience with grandpa, growing up would have been real fun. My dad was a trucker and his first otr truck was a 63 GMC cracker box with a 318 detroit diesel and I went on the short trips with him, never forget that experience.
Another enjoyable video! So cool to see this is a multi-generational family trade continuing on.( I'm old enough that all those folks in the family tree are are passed on or soon will be). This new truck when you are done getting it outfitted is going to be fantastic!
I now drive a cement mixer truck with an allison 6 speed. I'd hate to go back to a clutch. Our loaner truck is an older Mack and I told my boss if mine goes in the shop i'll just take a vacation till it's fixed.
Awesome visit with your Grandpa, what a treasure❤ Now I understand where your immense knowledge of trucks, heavy equipment and humor comes from👍🥰😂😂😂 Stay safe and God bless ❤️🙏
Should be interesting seeing what all equipment you add to that rig for your shenanigans, the only must have I can figure are the autochains. Maybe a solar panel on the roof with an ecoflow generator somewhere? Just a guess.
Great video! . I drive truck . My dad drove truck . Was always fun to meet him on the road or run with him . And I do love me some old trucks. Definitely greatly enjoyed you and your grandpa hanging out and the stories
I LOVE your GrandDad!!! He reminds me of my Amazing TRUCKing Father-in-law. He has been gone for many years but THIS was him to a "T"!!! I remember seeing pictures of him in a blue & white bubble nose Peterbuilt.
I love Volvo trucks. My brother and I are heavy tow operators and we have driven and towed a lot of heavy trucks and Volvo was actually the least we towed for breakdowns and I feel Volvo put a ton of thought into the safety and comfort of their drivers. We are actually discussing a new century 5130 on a Volvo vnx chassis.
Grandpa has some awesome rigs, can definitely tell that rubbed off on his grandson! Digging the new truck, can't wait to see it earning it's keep in the future!
Holy $hit..... We need to have a tour of your grand parents yard! I NEED to see those cabovers that were by your Grandmas rig in detail!!!!!!!!!. Its awesome you had such a strong trucking background! I bet your grandpa has some great stories. I really enjoyed his thoughts about the autos and he was spot on about not fighting it. Casey, this was an awesome vid and I super enjoyed it! I'm still chuckling about the adventure you had over at Jesse's. MAn, watching you guys go through the old trucks and talking about the old days and your grandpa talking about the adventures of yesteryear. Then you and your uncle watching that poor fella with his raft HAHAHA. poor guy! Dude, I super enjoyed this!
Thank you for the kind words about Charter!! We are glad we could help. Also thank you for not sharing our secret Tri-Tip recipe.
Definitely a California guy if you're smoking tri-tip instead of brisket!
Grandpa is in his 80s and still going strong. I'd bet he'd outwork guys half his age! Cool to see a bit of your roots and where you get your work ethic from
Out works guys a quarter of his age, i know 20 uear old that wouldnt even remember that much detail from a month ago
Yea exactly what i thought

Well said !
@@haroldphipps3457 Thank you! And thank you for reading it all!
If you’re blessed enough to still have living grandparents; go hug them as often as you can.
Heartfelt advice and so eloquently stated. I hope every reader of your message listens and follows your advice.
It’s real nice and valued when you can actually trust a man that sells you something sight unseen. Beautiful truck you got Casey!
Your grandpa is awesome!
"let's just make videos about fun stuff" no wiser words have ever been spoken on a YT video. Love you man, always keeping it very real.
With a wheelbase that long, I think it may get a few winches fitted and maybe an underlift.
Good to see some background info on you and your family with the trucking and towing history, your pops seems like a legit dude
Probably getting a loadall trailer so he can haul heavy tall loads again. It's in his blood.
That's awesome you still have your grandpa.
Nice buy Casey, but Grandpa got some awesome trucks sitting in the yard
I love how California can just say "nope. Can't run that truck no more" tag um in Oregon and run them.
Hi Casey, I have been watching for a few years now. Keep up the great work. I work at a Western Star dealership in Ontario (Canada). Spiked Wheel Nuts for sure...
Definitely!!!
HUGE pink spikes!
For grandma !!

I agree!

Wish my grandpa was still around. Enjoy the time with him man.
I can definitely see the resemblance between you and Grandpa 😊
THAT'S THE BEAUTIFUL GRANDMA TRUCK.
Good old Lucerne. The people watching will never let you down.

You just said a LOT, with very few words!
Well done !
Loved meeting your Grandpa. Needed to introduce his dog. Don’t forget Rusty’s pond!
You need to go back to your grandpas and do a full tour of all that sits there, I see a few more cab overs that need to be looked over.
I could listen to your and your granddad reminisce all day. Makes me miss my dad, he's been gone nearly 30 years. He had the best stories and not the easiest beginning to life (born in 1918). But, people of this caliber don't even think of giving up. They just get it done.

Nope. The Jeep that’s in this video did not and is not going anywhere
I loved hearing your grandfather's trucking history and the beginning of yours with their help!
