l didn't even understand the plot when l was a child maaan, l was like "wow flying cars! cool !!" And moved on hahahaha
@@feyzamrym2743 same 😭 I was even mad at Wilburt for exposing him like that. But re-watching it, I realized that if he hadn't done that the future will turn to a weird direction.

This movie is insane. Cornelius wakes up in a cold sweat needing to invent the time machine because he knows he has to for everything to happen. It’s a perfect time loop, evidenced by hearing Lewis’ footsteps at the beginning of the film. He realizes Wilbur is already so old and is 13 when he comes back to him, so two time machines need to be ready before then. Best done time travel movie ever imo.
Oh my lord that actually makes sense, how have I not realized that.
Of course they are going to have an Emmet Brown situation of remembering this event in a dream, they probably realized that, even if Goob isn't going to change the future in THIS timeline after waking him up at the game, there is nobody in the NEXT timeline to change young Lewis's fate and wake Goob up. Meaning 2 things can happen.
A) A time paradox where the universe would autocorrect to Lewis's machine working, Goob being asleep, and no-one slipping on the stairs at the start.
B) A bootstrap paradox where because Cornelius had the time travelling journey, they sent Wilbur back in time to have Lewis wake up Goob, of course, after taking the whole time travel journey.
But then again, if you think of it from an outside perspective, we see a timeline where the slip happened but no-one was ever there to wake Goob up, so maybe the whole journey happened for the next Lewis, minus the BHG informing him "Hey, I should wake him up next time I see him"
I can’t say what Walt Disney would have thought about most Disney films after his death, but I absolutely think he would have loved this one. He loved the idea of the promise of the future, the new tech and all the possibilities. His quote being the central spirit of the story feels so appropriate.
Also Bowler Hat Guy is such an underrated character. Going as him at Mickey’s Halloween Party next year. 😁❤️

This movie is such an underrated classic
It’s amazing
I love how y'all guessed the main twist early on, but the movie does it so well that it still has you lowkey doubting right until they confirm it 😂 anyway that shot at the end where lewis looks at his future family and the song starts playing always gets me in my feels 🥲
_Rise of the Guardians_ is underappreciated. Really good film, you guys should check it out.

I recently learned that the person behind the original book this is based on was also the mind behind Roly Poly Ollie. Which now that I compare the two, of course it is.
roly poly ollie was one of the defining shows of my childhood, up there with dragon tales, pb&j otter, and bear in the big blue house 😭
