I wish we'd gotten to see more of their relationship. He obviously believes she wouldn't harm him and is horrified to learn she tried to assassinate him.
@@oraspring3997 Guessing by Kronk's "you think he would've turned out better" and her "yeah, go figure," I assume it wasn't intentional--though I agree she took advantage of it.

The movie didn’t make that much money compared to other Disney animated movies, Disney wouldn’t waste that type of money for a movie that’s not a cash cow
Originally Kuzko was meant to be much more harsh to his prospective brides. As in he tore into them without mercy. However, when they showed that to their focus group everyone said that it made them hate Kuzko to the point where they didn’t care what kind or redemption arc he went on. They’d still hate him. So the creators rewrote the scene to make Kuzko more likable, relatively speaking. Also this was one of the first animated movies to feature a pregnant woman. The studio heads gave them a set of rules that they had to follow for her, including making her “elegant.”
Honestly I'm not even mad that they had to make her "elegant". They got the balance just right. She's elegant but she's still constrained by her belly when she's picking up that teacup, and she has that moment of balancing difficulty during her first scene. It's really cute.
Kuzco was 18 years old so while he was old enough to know better he had been raised by Yzma so thankfully he got transformed literally and by Pacha. Fun fact Yzma’s actress Eartha Kitt first Catwoman.
The reason why Pacha is holding Kuzco before they get to the restaurant is because Kuzco has Hypoglycemia which causes low blood pressure and basically you need to eat more or you can even seize up or pass out. Kinda a small detail that I really enjoy as seeing that's the entire reason they went to the restaurant.
wait, really? I've (f21) been low blood ever since I can remember, I know I have to eat more or else I'd get dizzy but I never knew I could have seizure.
@@pinkishhaven5158 yea, it's pretty rare but as a kid my mom was the type to think a small handful of almonds was a good meal and it was an unpleasant experience
@@bipolarlive1214 Well, Kuzko had to keep up the pretense, Pacha wanted to help him get his glycemia level up to normal, and they were probably hungry anyway.
The voice actress for Yzma is, in real life, a very amazing figure. Eartha Kitt overcame so much abuse and hardship to become the beloved actress we know today. She was abandoned by her family, made herself a star of Broadway, was put on the FBI watchlist by First Lady (Ladybird) Johnson, was an activist against the Vietnam War, and became TVs first Catwoman.
This movie cracked me up so hard. I love the actions, drama, the power of friendship and the funniest moments. Eartha Kitt did a fantastic job playing as Yzma and Pacha's wife being the first Disney princess who got pregnant 💗💗💗💥💥💥🤣🤣🤣
That you guys really go into a reaction about a Disney comedy movie with such seriousness attitude is kind of funny in itself ,not gonna lie xD Also everybody knows Kuzco is best disney Princess.
This is one of my favorite Disney movies, Eartha Kitt as Yzma is amazing!! Also the TV series based on this show "The Emperor's New School" is something I really enjoyed
Never seen a reaction for this movie that was so serious. I hope you guys enjoyed it. You all seemed more annoyed with the gags and jokes towards the final fight and the end. Yzma raised him as his advisor until he was of age to rule, so he learned not to care about anyone just the power and wealth.
When I first saw this in theaters and Esme said that she was the one who raised him I said; "No wonder he's so messed up." She's the one who ensured he was raised with the utmost spoiling, self-entitlement, and narcissism and it ended up turning against her. People believed that Esme most likely killed Kuzco's parents and intended to rule through Kuzco, but it ended up back firing on her instead.
This movie is basically the culture from Inca which is in Peru 🇵🇪, the indigenous people. The lama 🦙 is the animal representation of Peru and also the place where lama live. Lama was a source of meat 🍖 for the Inca and also a transport animal and pet. Inca use to live in high mountains 🏔️ and Peru is in high mountains too which is in south America (one of Latino continent) Also kuzco is a real name which was a mighty warrior chief of the Inca that brought revolution, prosperity for the Incas. They even fought the mayas. So yeah kuzko it’s a real fact story
@@LA_HA Actually in Peru we call it "zapateo" and although it has many variants, it is also part of the tradition of our country. Btw, the film is inspired by this culture.
When she says “well I practically raised him!” in the beginning when he let her go, you instantly get why he’s the way he is 😂
A french youtuber (I'm french) made a comment video about the movie and said Yzma is considered as what Kuzco will become if he didn't meet Pacha

Yzma is one of the funniest, most entertaining, and criminally underrated villains of all time. I miss Eartha Kitt
I'm surprised Disney never made a ride out of this film for Disney World or Disney Land since the ride was already there within the movie.

She's also voiced by Wendy Mallick (One of David spades costars from the sitcom, Just Shoot Me)
and she's perfect in everything.
Yeah, they were going to have him say things like "Moo" and "A human head would be nice."

That's one of the best visual gags, Kronk is literally pitching a tent.

In France, the voice of Kronk is the same voice actor than Simba.

"Yep."
"Sharp rocks at bottom?"
"Most likely."

When Yzma turns into a cat, it's actually a nod to the voice actress's role as Catwoman on the "Batman" TV show from the 1960s.
