Scotty is def in his wheelhouse here. He’s got a great product and he doesn’t over sell it. When you don’t dump all the salts on the floor the microbes help recycle those excess salts and help maintain a stable PH.

I'd have to do a side by side comparison between recharge and compost tea. From what I've read from old cannabis culture magazines and what I've grown. You'll get certain flavor profiles from various bat guanos. The sun leaves Jamacian guano, which makes your buds smell very fruity. Right now, I'm using Happy Frog cavern culture, and even though my buds smell awesome. There is a difference because I'm using different guanos. If you get bat guano from fruit bats, the flavor from that fruit transfers over. I remember reading an article talking about strawberry strains. One of the original breeders used Oscar fish poop. He fed his Oscar's strawberries, and the flavor profile transferred over to the bud. If my memory is right, this was done with the original strawberry fields strain.

Strawberry cough I believe and it's from Kyle kushman if I'm correct he said that about the strawberry field then he said that it was a joke...but yes nutes have a role to play in the taste a plant can have...the famous taste of 90s buds from Amsterdam come in part from the nutes every growers used then general hydroponics of Holland the Dutch formula 3 parts nothing else with some secret feeding schedule for advanced growers...we did the test years ago and it's really a part of the taste of the 90s
Red Lebanon is made from the same plant than yellow and green one...they grow it in a different soil and altitude..
Greenhouse seeds made videos years ago where they grow the same clones in different mediums and everything else is the same...they got different results in cannabinoids and terpenes profile...
So yes after years of synthetic and/or chemicals nutes I slowly switched to organic in 2014 and today I am sure it was the right way to go...when you stop looking for the highest THC percentages you can focus on what you actually enjoy...and the tastiest weed is grown in living soil

I recently started growing you know what, but I've been growing vegetables for a long time now.
I have a pretty large compost pile and I mix that with bags of store bought dirt and my plant is very healthy, lots of growth, zero yellow or brown leaves and it just looks really good and grows fast.
I use 99% organic nutrients. Earthworm castings, compost, blood meal, bone meal, some fish based stuff which is 0-10-10, and occasionally a very small dose of 15-30-15 MG which is a few years old, because I don't use very much.
I add a little bit of the organic stuff pretty regularly. I haven't analyzed my soil so apparently I'm getting lucky and not screwing anything up. I just add what I instinctively think it needs. I feel better about using mostly organic.
It takes more work with organic, but I like to tinker with stuff anyway so I'm okay with it. Plus none of the work is hard or time consuming. Just sprinkle some shit on and add some water. Speaking of which, my rain barrel has run dry and I'm buying gallons of spring water now but it's only a dollar a gallon.

Yeah it's why I use spongy wood in the bottom of holes. But I am in well drained sand. The spongy wood holds both bacteria and fungus. Then add recharge on it. Super soil on that. Then the mycorrhiza gets nutrients from the bacteria and gives it to the plants. Plus the wood stays moist for anaerobic bacteria but not enough to drown the roots.

I was wondering about that though, my water pH is pretty high lil over 7. If I add nuets like calmag, molasses, silica then pH then add recharge do you need to pH?
I don't need to pH when using recharge? Does this apply to when using say silica, calmag, etc?

@@jkii1105if you’re just using dechlorinated tap water. The recharge will get your ph down between 5-6. If you’re worried about ph and don’t wanna messs with a testing water, just all 1tsp of distilled white vinegar per gallon of tap water and you won’t have to worry about PH. When using recharge just leave out the vinegar because it will ph your water for you. I use one of those measuring cups for kids medicine and a 5 gallon bucket. Never have ph issues. I’ll also collect rain water whenever I can and that’s perfect pH for growing.

@@hootertexas9711 hmm never thought about vinegar, thanks for this info.
The question I have is when I add calmag or other nuets pH then add recharge. If I'm adding recharge to it why even pH it after I added silica, calmag, molasses.
I plan on collecting rainwater, but going take time for me to do that, my water is at 7.0 maybe a bit higher, in just worried about all the crap the company uses to clean the tap water, I don't even drink it cause the fluoride which I'm allergic.
I use milk gallons, I find it easier to use rather than a 5 gallon bucket, less messy in the long run. I don't add ferts to the tea, just the basic stuff like silica, calmag, molasses and so on. The fert I'll add directly to the soil and mix it in.
But still makes me wonder why pH after adding those nuets if I'm adding recharge. I've used it without pH and added recharge and didn't see a difference but still had me wondering cause I like the recharge, I've not had to many issues using it or the grow dots. Which Currently using grow dots on cookies, I must say I'm impressed with the grow dots, def worth the money also the recharge.

      @hootertexas9711 3 месяца назад

@@jkii1105 I don’t really have a solid answer for your question. But I do PH water when I add synthetic nutrients or compost tea concentrates. When I say I PH my water all I’m doing is adding 1tsp per gallon to my tap water. But I’m by no means the dude who knows what he’s doing. I’ve just had PH issues before and the vinegar has eliminated that for me using tap water. From what I understand most tap water is around 7 but goes up when you dechlorinate in the sun. I guess I only ever notice issues during veg. I may be having issues during flower and I’m just not smart enough to know. lol. Good luck.

Additional nutrients have their benefits only in hydroponic systems. If you are using soil, that's all you need. You can add microbes into your soil, but with soil all you need is regulated moisture, ventilated pot, light, dark and CO2. If you need a taller stem for some odd reason, then you can add nutrients, or your plant tastes too fresh and doesn't make you insane enough, add more nitrogen and phosphorous. Just remember, when you oxidize (burn) these compounds and add water to them, you create the most corrosive acids in the world. Those acids are in your lungs when you smoke/vape your product. The difference between soil and good conditions against hydro and nutrients is 10% average on mass. When you compare the quality and active compound production, soil wins every time. Soil is difficult to get your head around, especially when you are new to the game, and when you have learned the Crazy Jimbo tricks. But, it still is the right way to grow, just remember, less is more.

When I first started, I was told that I need to pick one side or the other, and my plan to ultimately blend both for indoor was silly. Synthetic would kill my microbes or something to that effect. The pH buffering alone is worth it. Then adding in trichoderma and so on, just adds preventative measures for a newbie. But also still being able to add instant nutes and not waiting a week or longer for your top feed to stop any deficiency you having. Of course everything in balance, but Iv had much better results with a blend of both, using nutes sparingly and getting good value out of both sides. My biggest fear/problem has gone from root rot/pH to pesky spider mites.

I also don't want to talk down the science behind grow dots or the dots themself, I'll probably try them someday.
Under the same video I said that I said I'd use mykorrhiza and worm humus, the mykorrhiza i bought actually came with trichodermia harzianum as well as endo- and ektomykorrhiza and ominous 'soil bacteria', so I guess it worked out quite good after all.

I like organic growth but it seems like you know there's less yield The Roots need more are but I do see good results with 50/50 cocoa and perlite and I've seen people use straight perlite with bigger plants aeroponic situations but it seems like some people don't even like using a bubbler but with aeroponics it's basically hydroponics with a reservoir but the roots stay in the water but the main root ball stays in the air with the cocoa it's totally neutral growing media so if you want to use the synthetic nutes any general hydroponics with a micro nutrient solution. But the root powder that you're talking about is definite do that every time you do a ceiling or do a transplant. The root inoculating powder it's pretty good stuff it's a go-to but I really haven't seen many people doing the macro dots yet to where I would say hey that's a real good way of doing things no disrespect but could you turn this on to how to mix I'll look it up and it looked like a simple mix.

That's what he said about soil, he says they don't add microbes to their grows with synthetic nutrients and inert media because they don't see any benefits. I will tell you i can see benefits using them.

You can grow without anything but if you grow with microbes you're just helping the plant uptake nutrients better and more nutrients are available because they form a symbiotic relationship with the roots and they exchanged pleasantries so to speak so I would say growing with microbes is probably good😂

Scotty could u show us a good mix... With the grow dots. Most people I know use cocoa 50/50 perlite cocoa pH the water to 6.0 or 6.5 they check the pH of the cocoa they don't like using organic soil most of the time because it can burn the plants and then just use organic nutes with earth worm casting kaji green 10 10 10 and there bloom. Everybody I know likes more perlite it's better for the roots they breathe better the cocoa is ph balanced and neutral a lot of people don't like using the organic fertilized or even composted soil. The Coco is easy all you got to do is get your tap water let it sit two or three days you'll take and put a bubbler in it that takes the chlorine out of it and then your pH it to 6. 0 or 6.5 check the pH of the water check the pH of the runoff out of the pots to make sure that it's not getting nutrient lockout it's super easy. The organic nutes are easy to use with earth worm casting. Bat poop chicken all of that is hard to use. The reason I say it's hard to use is because it can burn. It's unforgiving now if you do know how to use it it's very flavorful. Some people like to use seaweed kelp as a t it's good but the basic formula is just the jaki green and earth worm casting is so easy. I even know people that take and get just a basic chemical fertilizer and foliar feed every two weeks in the cocoa combined with an organic nutrient just as an instant source to primary and secondary nutrients and micro. I looked at the grow dots I just don't know how to use them if you could inform folks and show a proven mix I think it would help. I've heard people say it's good but I haven't seen nobody that actually has put together a formula

Hi man I have a question for you, if you have time to answer me I appreciate it.
I’m growing on coco, ph runoff was 5.8/5.9 and ppm around 400/450, it was perfect for my ec input, lately I add worm casting the plant significantly thrived green and happy, but the ppm jumped up to 5000 and the ph runoff is 7.. I’m sure is the worm casting but I don’t know what to do, them looking amazing and the other hand the ppm very risky. I need the master man 🙏🙏

40 years ago, our snack wagon driver, who came around for break-time at work, was a grower.
He grew some of the stickiest, stinkiest, weird tasting but stoney weed I ever did smoke. He used chicken manure in his fertilization regimen, hence, the smell.
My neighbors have chickens, but I do not want to risk torching my little hail-damaged survivors with such hot stuff!
