it's #grishaverseeditingweek and I had this up on instagram yesterday but I didn't get the chance to upload it to youtube, so... it still counts haha. wylan is by far my favourite grishaverse character for a number of reasons: he's just an incredibly written character and he also helped me through really tough periods of my life. I could see so much of myself and my struggles through him in a way that I never have with any other character to such an extent. and jack did a PHENOMENAL job with him - not only does he look almost exactly like how I pictured wylan (of course not a redhead but do we really need to have this conversation?), but he also physically embodies wylan so well and deeply cares about him (he constantly talks about it in interviews and we love him for it) in a way that he acknowledged wylan's importance to himself and so many people, and I'm so grateful that we were blessed with the perfect wylan! and yes I paid $1 USD to have book quotes read out in the actors' voices and I hope it was worth it!

yes!! I remember making this shortly after jack did an interview with boys by girls magazine, where he first said that it was his favourite quote, so putting it in made it hit so much harder - and now after asocas and hearing him say once again that it's his favourite quote... my heart can't take this 😭🥺

@@wylanslcve So the voices, it doesn't come from an audio book but you wrote the text, use the voice of the actors and it gave that?
@@vivi2035 yes pretty much! I did try the audiobook quotes but it just wasn’t working out, so I just used the actors’ voices and generated the quotes instead.

OK, so I have dyslexia, which is what Wylan has, and it does apply to music. I’m fully in Conservatory studying voice and it’s very hard for me to sight read because of my dyslexia so I just think it’s really funny that his way of getting around it is music notes cause I’m like oh honey, no
Is dyslexia different for individual people, or is it a bit like a spectrum? Honest question, if it’s in any way rude or smth I apologize
@@toefutaco it’s a bit of both but more of a spectrum. It’s similar to how autism presents in different people so like not everyone struggles with the same things and there are definitely levels to how much it effects people. I know someone who is a junior in high school and on track to be valedictorian but the most complicated book he can read on his own is go dog go.
