i tried getting a code but im not being text by facebook at all why

My problem is a little bit more involved than forgetting my password or wanting to change it because someone was able to change my password to something that I don’t know their controlling it
I’ve spoken with Facebook and they haven’t been able to help me
I can still post to my Facebook account, but my messenger account is gone. I cannot log into it. Is there anything that you suggest please?
