- Hi everyone! Today I wanted to show you how to make this adorable mini crochet bee! After all is said and done, the bee measures about 2.5 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 2.75 inches tall.
This pattern is beginner friendly, super easy, and this little guy is a relatively quick work-up if you're looking for a project to finish under an hour!
If you want a written pattern, you can find it here! www.etsy.com/l...
Here is a list of the yarns I used:
Yellow velvet: Weight 5, Baby Bee "Adore-a-ball" in the color "Bumblebee wings"
Black velvet: Weight 5, Yarn Bee "Velvety Smooth" in the color "Black"
White: Weight 4, Yarn Bee "Soft and Sleek, Low Pill" in the color "White"
Black for the mouth: Weight 4, Caron "Simply Soft" in the color "Black"
Eyes: 2, 10 mm safety eyes
Darning needle
Stuffing
Keychain with 7mm jumpring (The jumpring can be bigger or smaller, just needs to be big enough to fit through 1 stitch on the bee)

Thanks! I was just gonna write it down😊 so helpful
So cute! I used regular yarn with pink and white cuz I don’t have many colors yet. Also guys bobby-pins make good stitch markers if u don’t have any.
Update I don’t think it works with regular yarn 😅
Hi, you are great teacher! I appreciate you taking your time and explaining every step! 😊
I am sooo new to this, and I didnt have the proper yarn, but I made it and I love it (with all it's imperfections)! Surely I'll get better at it, but thanks for helping me right now.
Same!
I tried your method for changing colours, wow, that works great. I was a bit confused where the next stitch was so my first round I lost a stitch. Would be great if you did a tutorial just on that method. The bee turned out cute, I used a 3.5 hook as I have finer velvet yarn. Still a good size for a key ring.
Ty so much I will try to do it i honestly have not crocheted a lot iv been working on a basic blanket to get a stitch down and this stitch is very close to it and it looks like I just might be able to do it and you explained throughly!
Great of you to share patterns thank you ! And you explain it so easy! Great teacher !
Absolutely!☺️
This was such a great tutorial. Never seen the rounds joined like that, love the smooth transition between the stripes, will definitely try this too 👍👍
Yay! So glad you liked it!☺️
♥ this is such a GREAT tutorial!
Thank you ive made 5 now!!!
Girllll this is so nice and soo easy thank you so much for the pattern my dad is gonna be gone for a while so I hope he likes it❤
Also new sub
Aw awesome! So glad you liked it and so glad to have you join!☺️
Yaaa young crocheter here❤
Hi! I love this project it’s very clear and smooth and I was wondering if I could sell this bee. But not the pattern
Probably just give credit and or make it as perfect as u can
Guys here’s and easier way to change colors for the bee.
You start off changing to black like she says but you don’t cut off yellow string. You finish that row and then use your still connected yellow string. You keep the black string on still. Repeat. Once you think you should, turn your bee inside out. It should look good😊
Hi! I love this pattern and I was wondering if I would be able to sell it at a craft fair while giving credit to you ❤
Hi! I'm so glad you love it! And of course you can sell the finished product!🥰 The only thing I request is to not sell the written pattern itself, in any shape or form☺
@@reigningcharmz Thank you so much! :D ❤
Just love your tutorial ❤ Thank you!
I notice in your single crochet you go over the yarn first and the under the yarn on 2nd half of stitch
So that's called the "Yarn Under" method. It's popular with amigurumi. It's creates tighter and defined stitched. When compared to the "Yarn Over" method, an overall project would be somewhat smaller and firmer due to the compact stitches. This also prevents the stuffing from peeking through.
Great question and answer. Thank you. I paid $25 for 15 minutes to learn this but still couldnt. Glad you explained this @@pgam6529
Thanks so much. I sell things I crochet and I have a feeling these will be in high demand (it’s just in my school) 11:31
LOVE
Great video. Tu
Can i ask pls? When i have a row with 18 sc and then change color.. i need to do all 18 sc and the change .. or do 17 sc and the 18sc change.
On the 18th stitch you finish it with the new color and do the change ☺️
You just earned a sub
Yay glad to have you join!☺️
So cute ty ❤
thank you so much for sharing! I may have just forgotton but in round 9 when you decrease i though you had to yarn over after pulling through 2 loops, but you pulled through all 3. Is that still right?
So for a decrease, you pull through all 3 at once ☺️ hope this helps!
@@reigningcharmz thank you! my bee turned out sooooo cute :D
@@gabbydaferret5364 Aw yay!! So glad to hear that!☺️
What if I don't have eyes
This is amazing I tried making it and it worked out soo well your tutorials are amazing love u❤
Aw I’m so glad you liked it!☺️
Do you pull the working yarn through two loops or one while making the single crochet? Please help. Im confused
You pull through two loops that are on your hook ☺️
Thank you. Your work is amazing. I'll try until I make one perfectly!
@@therefindcycle aw thank you! and let me know if you need more help!

Is there a left handed tutorial???
Hi! I am so sorry, there is not yet! I'm not sure how to do left handed crochet, but I will work on one for the future!
@@reigningcharmz Thats fine, I will definitely try this out bc it is soo adorable ☺
thank you for the tutorial 🫶🏻🫶🏻 is my first time crocheting and this was so helpful to me
Aww yay! So glad it was helpful! Tag me on Insta with your completed bee! I’d love to see it!🥰 @reigningcharmz
Great tutorial TYSM for sharing 😃
Absolutely! I'm glad you liked it!
mine was rlly nice but it turned out too big :(
probably bc my yarn was too thick
Yeah, that will happen! I believe I used a weight 4 or 5 for this pattern☺
can you tell me the size of the thicknes yarn in mm?
I’m not sure what it is in mm unfortunately😔 I know it is a weight 5 though so whatever mm that translates to should be right!☺️
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
wait how did you get 18 in the 3rd row. I keep getting 16
hmm so you might be missing a stitch in row 2. If you have 12 stitches in row 2, then you might be skipping a stitch in row 3. You definitely should have 18 stitches at the end of row 3 though. Let me know if this helps!
There isn’t a sting😢
So add one
