    I'm going to be honest...I love weird jobs. In fact, I look forward to them. But I'll admit...I am a little disappointed you weren't swinging around on the side of the building like Tarzan!🤣🤣🤣

    your philosophizing reminds me alot of Robert persig's zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance... i guess this is more like zen and the art of treefelling... very deep and intuitive unversal truths verbalized for the life student at heart...

    Love it! The ground seemed a little over whelmed or maybe that was just the trailer. Those trees are everywhere up there. Nice work

      Hauling that trailer outta there was kinda like pulling a big camper: lots of wind resistance :)

    That's a definite mon-bak job. Suckers are going to sprout up like crazy, and they will be calling you next year to "Mon-bak, and do it again."

    I will say as a guy that owns both a chipper and dump trailer. The chipper is worth its weight in gold and I only have a small one right now but it's such a blessing.

    Always love your content! You mention a poison briefly and it getting into the creek. But there is a tree and brush poison I have used (it's green tinted) that I apply to fresh cuts that REALLY WORKS! I use a foam "brush" and dab only the perimeter of the fresh cut. 90% of the time it works on the first application. Some varietals I have had to do several applications, but ultimately it has worked and definitely no risk of ground or water contamination : )

    I often tell residential customers that residential tree care is a compromise. It might not be best for the tree to be reduced, but it may be better for the tree than removal- the other option.

      You can't go wrong if you figure close to the amount of hours a job will likely take and set an hourly rate for yourself. I wouldn't go less than $150 per hour. Tree work is dangerous and there's equipment, insurance, taxes, etc

    Weird jobs can be fun but they can also be frustrating when they don't go the way that you think they will. Good think you didn't go Indiana Jones on them! I think it would have been a three day job.😆

      Also how’s your Chinese mini skid? I’m looking at getting a boleo made by wolverine machinery. Just wondering if yours has been useful? I’m hopefully going to get a log grapple for mine.

      @@laneherrlinger7478 Mine just won't die and gets A LOT of work done. I showed some of that in my recent Ash jobs ... great little machine and a real money maker. I mainly use it to load logs and haul full trees around on the ground

    What if, after you knocked the tops off of all of those, you went down and girdled them right next to the ground? Then at least they'd die, fill up that space and make it harder for other crap to establish.
    It would sure be a shame if a little roundup spilled right on to the exposed sapwood when you girdled them. 🙂

      Girdling them! interesting idea ... there would be new sprouts and all that but PLENTY of dead wood for sure. Cool idea and spilled roundup does happen :)
