- I did this remix back in 2012 and thought I could use it in connection with my Super Metroid album somehow. I'm still very proud of that album, but it didn't quite generate the attention I had hoped for. I guess this is because there are so many great albums based on Super Metroid already. I have never in my life thought of Kraid as a galactic mob-boss or something capable of leaving Brinstar. He's a horror movie monster to me. I wouldn't even say evil. He's not intelligent to me.

This brins back memories of Super Smash Bros. more than Metroid because as a kid I only had Zero Mission and the speakers on the GBA sucked so the music never stood out. So in my head I will always see this as the Brinstar Depths theme.
This is one of my favorite remixes for a game EVER it just fits so well. Can’t say how many times I’ve come back to listen to this!

I know it's been 10 years. But *Metroid Zero Mission* has always held a very special place in my heart.

One of the greatest remakes of all time, if anyone is think about playing Metroid play this one, or Fusion you won't be disappointed. though all Metroid games are good Other M was another story, for obvious reasons most people did not like it likely because of the bad storyline, but the game is good gameplay wise.
Yeah I'd have to agree. Yeah I cant say that I've played a really bad Metroid game. Other M was pretty good concerning the gameplay I totally agree, but I also think a lot of fans had too high expectation when that gmaes arrived. I's OK by me.

Thanks =D Yeah this version was pretty different from what I had done before it. You might say that this is the first remix I did with my new knowledge of synth end other electronic instruments. Nice remix, it actually has the main piece in chiptune form, which I think other remixes lack, they sound too real and not enough like a game.
Yeah I like to mix real-sounding instruments with NES or Gameboy sounds. It's a pretty cool mix with the high-end and the Lo-fi ^^

Not sure if you still keep up with the comments, but do you think you could explain how you did this? I wanna get into remixing songs like this, but I don't know where to start or what I need.
Hydro Yeah I am. There's no real fool-proof way of doing it I'm afraid. My advice is to firstly get a daw like Reaper which is free and there's plenty of tutoreals here on YT. After that you can download some beats and listen a lot to vgm music for ideas on what to do with it 😃

can you make it out alive of the creepy evil creatures and the Motherbrian metriod prime is fun but long levels and trakes forever im only 28% the way thorugh it and i been playing it for 3 years its hard unless your glue to your tv playing it 24/7 you go braindead but its is a fun classic and my personal favorite is fusion for GBA you fight and evil samus

I'm pretty sure songs like this intimate Nintendon't so much that all they can do is make other m and federation force aka GARBAGE!!! NINTENDON'T hasn't made a good game since zero mission which was in 2004 which was like 14 years ago. the world was much simpler back then. good 3rd party games coming out all the time. now we just get cheap crap with an even higher price tag.

I agree - it keeps the charm of the original nes version better than the version in zero mission.
There's never been enough love for the Metroid soundtrack.

Out of all the Zebesian Space Pirate Enforcers Kraid was always a favorite because it boggles the mind just how the hell the Space Pirates were able to recruit Kraid at all considering his massive size.
Indeed. Like, is Kraid on their side or do they just use Kraid for their purpose? 🤔 I kind of think of Kraid as Godzilla. More like an animal of legend rather than a sharp mind creature like Ridley.
@@Hyde209 I think it could be much like Phantoon where Mother Brain just can simply control it through psychic manipulation...or perhaps that the Space Pirates just simply made him one of the "Enforcers" without it knowing to act as a living key to keep Mother Brain's sector locked up. Kraid is indeed a mysterious beast.

Thanks 😊 I imported the original track into Cubase 6, added a cool beat and pretty much jamed untill I had a bunch of different sections to arrange and choose from. That's the best simple answer to your question 😊
