As the true source of its madness rises, Innistrad’s last hope lies in unlikely hands. Take on the darkness at Prerelease on July 16 and 17, 2016. Eldritch Moon releases July 22.
The Guilds of Ravnica trailers do a really good job at setting up the chaos of the war, it starts with everything starting in Guilds, with the boros beginning to mobalize, the dimir learning of the threat on ravnica, selesnya increasing their strength, alligences shows the middle pointsof the war, with the gruul riots, the azorius taking proper control of the city, rakdos awaken Rakdos and the simic preparing the guardian project and War of the Spark showing the ending war, the eternals desparking the planeswalkers and destroying the city and Lilliana retaliating against Bolas.

Not even close. One of Cthulhu's defining traits is its inexorable nature. One does not defeat Cthulhu. One does not fight Cthulhu. At best, one hinders Cthulhu for a time. Extra Credits did an excellent piece on why Cthulhu shouldn't have a health bar. Emrakul has a health bar.
Good Sense Blah blah, specifics specifics, Emrakul is obviously meant to symbolize Cthulhu in a lovecraftian Innistrad. No it' not the same, it's just similar, sort of like how Innistrad is similar to a classic European horror landscape, but isn't actually Europe for obvious reasons. Don't even try to tell me Emrakul wasn't meant to be like Cthulhu. Lol I don't even know why I'm responding to you, you obviously just wanted to show off.
Kodo Elder-Groebe "Blah blah, specifics specifics" This criticism is about as much a nitpick as criticizing a rendition of Romeo and Juliet that ends with a happily ever after is. This was magnificent. The voice for Lili was exactly what I wanted to hear, and the dialogue itself sent shivers down my spine. The sound and music was perfect for the mood, and the art fit the set perfectly. (I still get chills from "Darkness is your only hope", absolutely brilliant)
Don't care how much hate some people have,t his is a favorite set of mine. I can't get enough of Liliana or the Eldrazi, the two on Innistrad was too perfect of a setting. While I'm most likely not going to get into Kaladesh as much as initially planned, I will be seeking out cards I really like/love/want. Usually, when a set comes out that I'm really into ( New Phyrexia, Journey into Nyx, Born of the Gods, Kahns & Dragons of Tarkir, Battle for Zendikar, Oath of the Gatewatch, Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon) I go all out for it, getting a Booster Box, a Fat Pack (love the booklet, fold out poster, box container and cracking packs) and usually tend to try to get as many, if not all cards within the set. I'm honestly not super into the vehicle cards going on in Kaladesh for a mechanic/ability, however there are a good set of spells and artifacts that are cool to get into, but i'm saving myself for it's follow up of Aether Revolt, the next set of Commander and further down the line: Amonkhet.
Oath of Emrakul: when oath of emrakul enters the battlefield, take an extra turn after this one. Each emrakul planeswalker you control has annihilator 15
Spoilers if anyone hasn't read the story. It amazes me how Lilliana was able to overpower Emrakul. This is THE Eldrazi titan, one of the most powerful beings who nearly brought two entire planes to destruction. Loved that we were able to get a little into Emrakul's personality via Jace's mind. Still, even the mighty Emrakul was no match for one of the most powerful planewalkers of this time.
She was tho... she took control of all of lilys zombies on a whim, shrugged off/regenerated all of the damage lily dealt to her. Granted lily did amazing in that fight, going against something as crazy as emrakul, but by the end of it lily was dying on the ground bleeding from multiple places, and emrakul was no worse for ware. Literally pulled a "yeah you guys arent up for this heat imma go sit up on the moon for a couple hundred years till you're ready"
Maybe in the future, some people made theories about Emrakul on the silver moon (silver messes with time in mtg for some reason) and about her possible return
I see the bad moon arising I see trouble on the way I see earthquakes and lightning I see those bad times today. Don't go out tonight Well it's bound to take your life. There's a bad moon on the rise.
This is so powerful because the world was so war torn every corpse has a story. Theyre not just zombies, theyre people who fought for humanity against the worst odds. The fact she has such an army paints a sad history which makes it so friggin epic. They wernt warriors just normal humans with a mechanic called last stand. I loved innistrad. Itll always hold a special place in my heart.
Combining Eldeazi with all the Innistrad monsters is going to be epic! It's got that Spider-Man Venom feel to it and it's completely different to how the Eldrazi on Zendikar were portrayed.
I don't comment on RUclips much, but just wanna let you know that you guys really hit it off the park with this awesome trailer! The voice-acting, the mood of the video, the bgm, the art direction, all perfect! If there's something I have to nitpick, the animation can be a bit more fluid and higher quality. But please don't change the art style of the animation, showing the cards' art in motion really works for MTG videos. Good job on the trailer and hoping to see more awesome trailers for future sets!
I actually think it was a good idea to bring Emrakul over to Innistrad for to effectively show Emrakul's corruption, it could only be done through flip cards that show the before and after corruption parts of each creature and that really takes the cake for me
Man, that art department is really stepping up their game. Emrakul looks amazing, especially with all the detail and colors. It makes me want to watch a Magic: The Gathering movie about the entire storyline.
I always wished we could see more full animations/comics of key events like the zombie horde tearing into Emrikul. Fan made or official, those would be amazing.
That creepy piano music in the background. Not the first choice I'd have thought of for this trailer, but they made it work reasonably well. Glad they seem to be doing the whole cosmic horror vibe well, this was a good way to return to Innistrad for a block- similar and true to the original, but simultaneously a new spin on it that feels distinct. I wonder if they're going to do more flip cards that are creatures before and after being corrupted by Emrakul's influence. Probably, that seems to be what the early part of the trailer is showing off. I'm down, sounds like it could be a cool consistent method to transform some creatures. I also kinda like that the whole Gatewatch is going to get called in on this one- it makes sense for Jace not to try and handle this on his own once he finds out how bad things are. They probably won't *all* get their own cards, one or two, I''m running the assumption that there will always be a card for each member of the gatewatch in standard from now on, but we've already got everyone between Zendikar block and SOI's Jace.
I feel like this is my favorite MTG trailer... Top 3 is probably: 1. Eldritch Moon 2. Shadows Over Innistrad 3. Amonkhet I'm really into the gothic aesthetic for the top 2 and the music in this trailer I think really does it for me along with the idea of the good guys depending on the undead to deal with essentially aliens which is really just a fairly hopeless situation to be in... But then Shadows over Innistrad does have the bloodstained mad angels which I also like (I have a pretty tall gothic angel statue that I got which is really cool), but then I also really like history so I can dig the Ancient Egyptian aesthetic as well of Amonkhet along with the chanting that is kind of like the intro to "The Prince of Egypt"...
Liliana's like: GET OUT OF MY SWAMP!!
I couldn't believe it...it's...it's Liliana.
