First the Mirodden rebels lose to the Phyrexians, then the dark forces of Innistrad fail to properly conquer the plane and now in Dragons of Tarkir my favorite khan was made into a rotting zombie...I didn't play through Theros block....

However, after he sold the lust back to the Character Creation Store, he used those points to by even more dickishness in every other category. And Erebros was just plain awful. In classical mythology, Hades was one of the only three major gods that wasn't a complete asshole.

The set I joined on, and hand down my favorite set so far. Its so beautiful. I still play an evolved version of the W/G starter deck I started out with to this day.

I feel like since Wizards has enough money to buy a large island, they should give their fans a lot more story to grab a hold of. Maybe a novel for each new set. I would like to know about Sorin and Garruk's struggles through Innstrad and how they fell about it. I still have no idea if Garruk is a duche or an alright guy. I just feel as though the multivurse has alot of potential and that Wizards could dig deeper into this rich world theyve created.
Just discovered these trailers a month ago (not a magic player). The artstyle is simply top notch. Not much else to say, it blows something like warcraft right out of the water.
Even better: The artstyle is directly coming from the cards in the very set the trailer is for ! So if you like the artstyle, what better "excuse" to get yourself some Magic cards, learn the basic rules with some friends and play the cards on the kitchen table (anything goes on the kitchen table, you don't have to be an expert or own expensive cards as long as you're having fun) ?
The thrill of what is to come in future sets is just another thing that makes card games, particularly Mtg, so captivating. These videos also keep getting increasingly awesome.
No, there is always 2 Blocks that are in standard (excluding core sets where there is only one core set in standard). You probably know right now that the two blocks are the Scars of Mirrodin and Innistrad Blocks. It is only when Return to Ravnica block is in standard that Scars of Mirrodin block rotates out.
From Emrakuls own specific ruling. Note the last part and Journey is identical to Oblivion ring except creature only, Oblivion ring and Royal assassins ability are both abilities Emrakul may be affected by colored spells that don't target it or deal damage to it, including those that cause it to become blocked. Abilities of colored permanents (such as Journey to Nowhere) may target it. Auras may be moved onto it by abilities or by colored spells that don't target it (such as Aura Graft).

A format that isn't played much, but White is currently one of the top three colors and almost definately will stay there till Hook comes out.

The Soulbond cards really spiced up the gameplay at the Pre-Release. I can't wait for the set to come out on Friday so I have more cards to build decks and make more videos with! :)

It's the novel where Jace falls in love with liliana, and liliana dupes Jace into killing Tezzeret. She explains to Jace that she's almost 2 centuries (200 years)old.
Avacyn was created to maintain balance between the creatures of darkness (werewolves, vampires, demons) and creatures of light (humans, angels). It's not that humans and angels are powerless without Avacyn, it's that the armies of darkness are just too numerous and stronger compared to the angels. Avacyn is the awe-inspiring, immensely powerful leader, that gives a hope of survival to the people. Simply putting it, Avacyn is the great equalizer.
Well, some cards give clues that the dark monsters and Werewolves that denied Avacyn retreated to the far corners of Innistrad(so maybe more continents or something). As far as we know the Cathar Army has yet to catch both Geralf and his sister, Gisa and Ludevic as well(though, don't quote me on that). Plus, the five ruling Vampire families are still intact. True, Griselbrand died but, the lore of Innistrad basically says he'll come back to life in some form so I think they have enough to go on.
Avacyn Restored will indeed not feature the flashback mechanic, nor DFC's. AVR is a large set, intended to stand by itself. It'll be unique mechanically, and significantly different flavor wise. So it makes sense to get rid of previous mechanics that relied heavily on the graveyard and transforming monsters.
@BelialRus read the dailymtg column. the helvault keeps everything inside in stasis. nothing happens while trapped inside. it's how avacyn even survived so long, having been stabbed through the heart by griselbrand.
If they'd just left Innistrad alone after this set . . . Can't they let one world have peace instead of giving in to evil and destruction every thirty seconds?
@JJ6101992 I'm not so sure this could be counted as a "Happy" ending after all from the trailer it looks the angels are just coming in to clean up after Liliana gets away with what she wanted. Still, this has been one of my favorite blocks of magic in a long time and I really can't wait to see the cards that go with the final part of the story.

My thoughts exactly. Great trailer, great music, great 'angel' voice acting, with that little reverb - just awesome all around.
Anyway, it almost had me crying, with the Symphony, and Avacyn Restored, and Thalia saying how everything is getting better.
