Hey I love the idea of the bungee cord. It works like a charm. Do you have a video of of the way you rigged up the foot pedal cord to your seat/ how to DIY ?
I learned about pinching that GPS cable the HARD way. I jammed mine up so bad, I had to partially disassemble the base to free it. Love the idea of using a shock cord to assist the deployment. Great advice. Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍
Do you use a boat safety kill stop quick disconnect switch on your yak in case you come out. It is not that you will come out it is just when. There are situations with the Xi3 that will go full thrust and when that happens it is a wild ride.
I believe it was just a piece of bungee cord from the Bonafide that I cut off. I just played with the length and positioning until it was just enough tension to deploy the motor.
Here are the handles- amzn.to/3TFvFXv I just used some rope, tubing from Lowe’s similar to what they use in the rudder install. I drilled a hole in the foot pedal and connect that to the rope with basically a type of Caribbeaner. Used the Garmin Transducer adapter here- amzn.to/3Rfsa8t to attach the other rope to the head of the trolling motor.

Yeah luckily I watched flukemasters video before I got my Xi3, and that was one of the first things I did. Thanks for watching!👍👍👍

That’s slick man. Thanks
No problem!
Does the spot lock feature work all by itself? Without the depth finder?
Yes
That friction release is a great idea. What size bungee cord did you use to get the correct amount of tension?

Thanks. I’m going to add this to my setup!
What size breaker for 55lb, 50a or 60a?
Do you find the 107 is too nose heavy with that motor? I'm debating on getting one for mine.
A little but I’m 230lbs also. But it was too bad
How far can u go on a 100 amp hourly lithium also fishing hour time just a guesstimate
Awsome vide
Idk I’ve never killed a 100 ah battery in a kayak so I couldn’t tell you exactly. Maybe a day and a half to two days.
1280wh (battery) divided by 624 (motorguide) = 2.05
So a little over 2 hours at max speed.
How do you keeo the spinning livescope piece from sliding all the way down the shaft or does it matter
If I’m understanding you correctly, it shouldn’t matter because when you go to pull it up it will slide back up to the top.
What pull handles and connectors u use to pull the foot pedal down to delpy the trolling motor?

Tension.
What size bungee
1/4"
amzn.to/3H1lirV
@@BlueSummitOutdoors how much did you stretch it out so that it gives you the right tension
Who needs an autopilot when you got that lol
I do NOT like the beeping noise. There has to be a way to delete that.
