Finally!!!! Someone does a review from the water and actually shows their kayak floating....You would not believe how many people "review" their kayaks from their drive way or the damn boat ramp but never ever put it in the water....Thank you...
You just got my vote for the BEST, uncluttered walking space ahead of the seat. Hopefully, that front unit won't usurp too much of this open space. For me coming from a bass boat, standing space and uninterrupted low casting capability are high valued features of any boat of any kind. Centering your fish finder up ahead of you will add greatly to the casting clearance. I really like the openness of your set-up. And, that rear battery case is fabulous. Thanks for a great share!
Btw, I didn’t know your name but I told him that the guy who posts videos about his nucanoe and xi3 from Dalton got me interested..they said “yeah we know who he is” haha
She came out awesome. I'm running the same motor, and I do run my J2 Bixpy PP 768 on the Gravity rudder. Plus I have my fin drive. It's always on board, and I'll use it on short hops, or to keep in shape, and paddle. But now everyone is going motorized. I fish with 4 friends, they're all motorized. And in tournaments I love to be able to cvr water, and get away from boats. Epic vid bro. I love the Nucanoe fleet, with the swivel seat. My seat adjusts up to 3 height levels. And it's built into the seat. Stay safe. 🌊 🎣 🛶
Bought a nucanoe f10 about a month ago and i feel the same as you about nucanoe don't think I'll be going with another brand hope to put the xi3 on it next year.
Just bought me a Unlimited yesterday with gear pod! The Xi3 is probably a next year purchase but I can't wait to get out on the water! Just ordered a second fusion seat so I can take my son with me! Great video! I think my wife is going to go with the Flint.
Nice setup sir! I’m also on the local team…….. in Oklahoma. Since you had it for the season have you found any different likes/dislikes with the motor? I’m thinking about adding one in the next few years.
New subscriber, this is the video I needed to see. I have a bonafide p127 and have been going back and forth on getting the unlimited with the xi3. Have you missed the pedal drive at all since switching?
Good review. Can you tell us how much the total set up cost? I know the price of kayak is $1800.. what about installation, motor, battery, etc.. ** thanks for honest review and sharing personal experience
I really just want one for cable management in the front. I know it takes up the front of your deck space but I really don’t plane on standing all the way up there anyway.
I know it’s a wide boat but does it feel a little skinny where your feet are when you stand? I see the glide tracks take up some of that space. You don’t seem cramped. I have a native slayer max and I kind of don’t like the raise middle portion where my pedals are. Makes it cramped to stand in which I really don’t do much anyways because I feel unstable.
@@redclayoutdoorsOh, I almost forgot to ask this. Will you be purchasing the flip down rudder? I heard a few people say that you need that to keep tracking straight. Is that true?
There are certain instances where I definitely feel it would be helpful with maneuvering but I wouldn’t call it a necessity. You can definitely run it without and still be just fine. I do plan to add it as well as the supper transducer mount but I’m not dying for it.
Curious what size black pack you’re running? I have the unlimited and the same 100 AH battery. I thought of running the 16x16 pro for the battery box and downsizing to Buzbe 3600 to fit in with the battery
The 16x16 won’t fit where I have the battery box, I have seen a guy running the 13x16 and a 13x13 for the battery box. If you put a 16x16 in where I have my 13x16 you won’t be able to spin the seat unless you slide it forward but it’s really best to keep the weight in the back especially in rough water conditions.
@@redclayoutdoors makes perfect sense. I have the yak gadget xl crate and a battery box and I can’t spin all the way around just side to side. And I had the original black pak. Wish I would’ve kept it
When you put a trolling motor on a kayak, you have to register your boat and put some numbers on it. Looking at your community page I see you've done that. It's ridiculous for just a slow kayak, but it's the law All that said I have the the Old Town Topwater 120 that I'm planning on doing the same thing with. I was worried about not having a rudder but your video seems to show it's not needed.

Just bought the last 23’ unlimited from Dalton Boats, along with an xi3. So I say thank you! And my wife says “yeah thanks.” 😂

You guys have me really wanting an unlimited now! My 133x is falling apart and something new is in my future!

Im going to get the flint for my wife as well. Ideally I’d like to get 2 flints for creek fishing. Great kayaks man you’ll love it.
Great video! I like it! Thanks so much for sharing with us. #RCOFishing rocks!
At the end of video you talk about storm if it was same day i was on Watts Bar when it hit lol
The real "oh crap" moment is going to come when you find out your setup has NO kill function and you NEED it!
There’s a breaker in the batter box
Nice video!

Great vid! What are you tying your straps to on the Blackpak to hold it down?
I have 2 yak attack 90 degree tie downs attached to the rod tubes
I cannot find that Academy battery box on their site. Might you have a link to a source to purchase one?
www.academy.com/p/magellan-outdoors-pro-22-l-waterproof-gear-box
Hopefully that works.
What size is that “snake” skin that’s over the power cable? Link to item!
Always forget something, amzn.to/3CN99EZ I used 3/8.
The battery box you bought at academy, is it big enough for bait trays?
Probably
What bag is that in the lid of your BlackPak? I've been looking for a better way to occupy that empty space over the top of my boxes.
It was attached to the lid of the battery box, it fit perfectly in the black pack.
Keep my extra line In there
@@redclayoutdoors Good stuff, thanks for answering!

None man, it’s actually so nice having the space to move around or just stretch your legs. No regrets!!
If you get one out Robert Doss down as the team member that helped you haha
If you do start to miss them you can get the Pivot drive and have pedal power again.
@@redclayoutdoors I'm actually about 40 minutes from boats and motors of Dalton lol. I may go check them out tomorrow.
@@sir12oz9 they have one unlimited left and are doing dealer pricing on everything

Looking at around 3600-3700, kayak, motor, and 100 amp hour amped outdoors lithium battery. Installed and ready to run

Gear pod debating if it is necessary or needed for sure will ruin the open deck

Yack attack leverage landing net.

I have never felt cramped or like I need a wider stance. See if someone close to you will demo one for you

What is the top speed you have reached in that setup ?
4.68 but I’m pretty confident I can get 5MPH out of it if I play with it a little bit.

I’m loving this setup
