I'm from Argentina and I usually see soccer reactions, especially from Americans who like this sport, I liked your video and the respect that the Colombians had in the stadium, in South America we love this sport and we have it in our blood, I think the United States It will be a power in a few decades, but they still lack good luck in the Copa América and the next World Cup. Soccer is the best sport in the world.

It is my first time watching your videos and I congratulate you for taking the time and sharing your love for the most beautiful game ... Futbol...I am a Colombian who has been in this country since 1980 and has seen the growth of acceptance and coverage of futbol. We ( Colombians) will support our team from days before the game, through the game and long after... We have gone through all emotions with our different versions of our national team(s). We have seen the good, the bad and the ugly over the years. This particular version has a lot of good things, they are, as we say in Colombia, " enchufados"..that means they are all in ( plugged in ) . They share one common goal and they do not feel they have won the tournament but are literally taking it ..."partido a partido"..( one game at a time). Again thank you for your comments and for allowing us to share ours.

I don’t think they’re big in terms of an Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and other major countries across the world but I think they’re solid especially being undefeated for 2 years now. Never underestimated them. I just will always back the US😄
@@WillSaunYou may not be familiar historically with Colombia’s game, but they are continually top 3 in South America. Uruguay always been Argentina’s little brother, but alternate with Colombia for 3rd spot, occasionally. Colombia usually has little issue dispatching Uruguay, but Uruguay has definitely upped their level this year. You also have to consider that this current Colombian team has beaten Spain, Germany, Brazil, etc, during this 23 game unbeaten run. To say they’re not on par with Brazil or Uruguay right now, is crazy.

I haven't even gotten to the food yet. People are starting to call Colombia "Earth's Spice Rack" although don't quote me on this one yet. We have athletes in different sports! From Sebastian Montoya in Formula One to Nairo Quintana in Tour de France. We have our people acting, singing, rapping, directing, hooping, boxing, fighting, running, jumping, flying, etc.etc. which is NOT something you can say about other Latin Countries. We have one of the damn best National Anthems ever (Despite what a British article said about us). Some of the warmest, friendliest people on the planet you'll meet in Colombia. We are The Land of a Thousand Rhythms, The Land of Sabrosura, The Land of Magical Realism, The Land of Beauty, La Tierra Del Olvido.
I can keep going if I wanted to. But, dude, either speak for yourself or have just a little more respect for your motherland. "so little to be proud of". We have too much to be proud of which is why we probably haven't reached our peak in Futbol just yet. Other Counrties can't say the same as they live and breathe Futbol so I can't be hating on their success. Our time (Both USA and Colombia) will come. We're Countries of capabilities and beyond. Estoy aprendiendo ingles y veo algunos de tus videos y los entiendo completamente. Colombia, igual que muchos paises de suramerica, siempre han sido mejores que los paises de norteamerica. Sin embargo, estas competencias hacen que los equipos mejoren su nivel deportivo, es un paso a la vez. El ejemplo mas claro de evolución deportiva que te puedo enseñar es Venezuela, tiene actualmente un alto nivel para competir contra paises que usualmente solia perder.

I didn't watch the game completely because I didn't have a tv in my house, I asked a neighbor living next to me if I could watch the game in his house and we watched it together, the people here were happily drinking beer, supporting and screaming every time when Colombia scored each goal, it was a wild experience here. I have never been to the stadium in Barranquilla when the team plays here, but I wish to go someday. I am also one guy that loves U.S.A and I dream to go there someday of my life! I was born in Colombia but came to the US as a teenager, so i do have a soft spot for the US.
I think this was good preparation for what's to come. Bielsa's Uruguay loves the high press. I hope Greg Belhalter makes the adjustments because the last 3 goals were mistakes when trying to come out passing from the back. Sometimes you just gotta kick the ball away, especially when the opposing team is squeezing you in your own field.
Anyway, i hope the US has a better performance, this might be a match up in the second round.

19:11 Yeah, they just gave up. After the third goal they gave up, they didn't have anymore fight in them. This team seems mentally weak. The teams of the Clint Dempsey generation or the 2002 generation with Donovan and McBride, and the scrappy 1990's with Alexi Lalas, they didn't give up. They could've been losing badly but would fight until the final whistle. This team doesn't have that, and that's concerning.

I feel most Americans who have central to South American roots will root for their country. Same for 2nd gen European-Americans. I don’t know of any other country that has the same dynamic.
At half time when Colombia took out James you felt we would lose creative output, good assumption but no. Quintero (#20) is arguably even more creative then James. Quintero came in with 2 assists that game. I think US has amazing players, they were missing Dest your attacking right back who I feel is very dangerous. Scally managed to defend well but is not a threat going forward. The USMNT has players but need to play as a team and not individuals. They need to play faster and work on first touch play. Our Colombian legend Valderrama once said “If you held onto the ball you wasn’t playing.” Pretty simple words but futbol at its most beautiful way of playing is just that, simple. In a way the players who don’t have the ball are more important then the one who do. I feel the 1-5 is not the true difference between the teams… 1-3 is more proper. You guys will play better against a Brazil that is in construction mode and players who are completely new. Good luck Will! Keep posting video blogs.

America are ranked 11th in the world so you *SHOULD* be able to hold your own but you looked lost out there. Given your population, facilities and ability to produce supreme athletes you just gotta want it enough but that clearly isn't the case yet evidenced by the embarrassing turn out. Not entirely, we have been around longer than you but we are also an emerging team, with a very recent history, basically the beginning of the 80s and the end of the 70s.

Nice video! It’s good to see people in the states understand what we call football. I think the USA team needs to get out of the comfort zone and play a lot with South American teams. Playing against Mexico or Haiti to get a seat is not the same as what Colombia has to do, dealing with Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and so on, I think you get the idea.

Colombia is just too deep to be any less dangerous without dias or james, that was keeping the same safe for copa. USA has the talent, they lack the guidance, hopefully after this copa will put the fire under their ass to get that part together.
