I've only grown corn a few times. I haven't for a couple years now. I just can't justify growing it anymore. I lost 60% of my garden when my mom passed a few years ago. So I have to put every crop through a thought process of criteria like where I can buy it, how does it taste compared with homegrown, price. Length of time growing, and do I enjoy growing it. And corn just doesn't make my list of crops I need to grow. I shouldn't grow potatoes either but I love growing them, & the varieties available to grow you just can't buy at most stores. Anyway I know you enjoy being in your backyard and farming. It looks like an awesome place to relax, stress relief , disappear oh and work hard too.

That's how i do my corn in square foot gardening, too...i do 4 in 1sf. You would think corn needs as much space as tomatoes, but i was shocked 😂

I love corn, but the raccoons are too rough in my neighborhood 😫.
Yes, raccoons will eat your corn like you would but uncooked
You may need to feed them "special" treats, i do. My city isn't doing anything to control them.

I use fish emulsion once a week. I normally don’t use any more blood meal.
