Started a water fast 9 days ago without coming across your channel. First 3 days were difficult but pulled through by adding zero sugar electrolytes to my water. Day 10 tomorrow but after watching this video I will transform to your method. Thank you for explaining it so thoroughly and for basically giving us the blue print to success. If I can do a 10 day fast relatively easy I definitely can do this 4 day fast with the 3-4 hour window to eat on the fifth day. Rinse and repeat after that. Nine days ago I was at a WHOPPING 298 lbs but I weighed myself today and the scale said 288.7! That along with this video has inspired me to continue forward with an absolute solid plan. If you're starting your journey like me please know that everything FF is saying is the facts/ truth and we CAN DO THIS! Also know that motivation fades quickly so you'll definitely need discipline, will power, and dedication but we got this. My goal is 175lbs when I was in the best shape of my life so I'll check back in three months to see where I'm at. Thanks again Mr. FF!

@@TheMillionDollarDropout good stuff bro. I went on a 7 day fast and lost around 17 pounds, gained some back, and I’ve definitely lost a bit of motivation despite knowing this is mostly healthy weight. I think I’m gonna try to swap to 4 day fasts but it’s so hard for me to get back on it.

    • @TheMillionDollarDropout
      @TheMillionDollarDropout 24 дня назад

Yep you can. I did 3 days and went from 249 to 238 but then I refed two days, a slightly above standard amount of calories (2,200 - 2,600) I’m a 5’7 male) and I went back up to 245. Now I just got done with my 2nd 3 day fast and I’m back down to 242.2. It works. As long as you’re consistent, I can imagine you losing whatever amount of fat you need to lose, pretty easily.
In December 2022 until October 2023 I decided to go on a traditional weight loss plan because I thought I couldn’t do any fasting. I ate 2000 cal and I walked 12,000 steps every day to make sure I would burn around 500 cal. I did this so strictly for so many months on end every single day except Saturday and some Sundays really. My feet w would ache sometimes and my joints felt a little worn out sometimes. I was getting stronger/skinnier (did I mention I lifted weights 3 x a week!?) but the toll on my mind on my body was a lot more than it ever could’ve been, if I just fasted instead. I was keeping track of my calories using a scale that would convert the weight of food into calories just to make my life a little bit easier, but it was still a pain having to do that. I measured every every single item that entered my mouth unless it was like a single strawberry or blueberry. At least it gave me a basic idea of portion sizes what made sense but that’s it.
In the end, after around nine months, total, I only went down from 265 to 225.
The reason I gave up was because.1. I was exhausted. 2. The holidays were here and we all know how that is. 3. This may be the biggest reason. I ended up plateauing for around three maybe even four weeks straight at 223 - 225 despite the fact that my diet stayed the same the whole time and if anything, I walked a little bit more during that last week, because I was tired of being stuck at 225.
What I recently found out in less than 10 minutes of a Dr. Jason Fung video, is that unlike a traditional weight loss plan with diet and exercise, fasting does not eventually crash your metabolism overtime. It’s not a starvation diet your body needs to adjust to despite the fact that you’re eating NOTHING lol.
Fasting actually speeds up the metabolism because it’s trying to get you to have adrenaline and alertness so you can be on the lookout for your next meal. It’s evolution. Fasting is a very normal evolution based “trick” to get our bodies to maintain a level of healthfulness just like our saliva maintains our teeth’s level of healthfulness when we don’t eat and then becomes acid when we do eat. It’s a balancing act.
And yeah, I heard that a traditional weight loss can lead to plateau eventually, but I said, surely, it can’t if I’m just THIS level of dedicated. Well, it did in the end and that sucked. Big-time. It killed so much motivation.
From 265 to 225… It’s pretty amazing, but to take around nine months to get there and then to suddenly start getting stuck so badly at 225 even though my normal weight ranges around 140 - 160!? Hell no!! I had a ways to go. Now I just feel like I wasted time.
I went back up from 2:25 to 250 since October of 2023 but never went up to 265 because I started to realize that I was about to completely yo-yo and I said hell no I can’t completely yo-yo lmao. I’d hate myself so much if I did.
Anyway… We can do this if we just stick to it I know we can, so let’s just keep trying. I’m getting rid of this weight once and for all. There is no way that my body plateaus while it is literally not consuming anything. That would be insane if it did plateau imo. If I do hit a plateau, I very much doubt that it’ll be longer than a few days.

Sleeping early is a great strategy while fasting. The body does so much work and repair while you are sleeping. Also… most of us already don’t sleep nearly enough. The couple of hours of more sleep really helps. And helps your mood the next day. I think it makes it easier to resist emotional eating because your body and mind aren’t tired.

God is so good, I cannot believe I haven't seen your channel before 😮 I am in awe 😳 every single thing you said is me, I just started fasting on Feb 29th 8pm. 61 hrs in no food. My husband's birthday is April 17th I want to look good for him and myself of course. I fasted 3 weeks before great results. But went crazy on re feed, low points in my life. But God. Anyway in my mind I'm like will I get out the 190's I got up to 225 at one point got to 195 and pass there and lost the momentum.
I've been watching video after video and up you popped. I hide behind my clothes don't want to go out with friends and so on. I visited a friend out of town Saturday she looked at me and said I've never seen you so big 😢that was the trigger so I'm 61 hrs in this morning I weighed in the 26th at 215.8 this morning I'm at 209. I want to be 130. I'm going to follow along your channel until I get there. I'm going to try to fast through to April 1st, drinking water and lemon. Tea mix of
Green tea lemons ashwanga, turmeric, peppermint, Sorrell, ginger cloves all in one sitting. My joints all over my body was killing me, not sleeping well, late to work and church all the time. Sweats craziness. My husband is slim and sexy. I'm a fat slob. But after watching you. I think I can do this
By watching your videos to cheer me along. watched your videos this morning with my husband from 1am amazed all the things you talk about is me. Start this day finish this food then start and I told myself the food will always be there. And you made the very comment in one of your videos. I almost ate after I cooked dinner for my husband last night.😮talked my way out of it after looking at my fasting app😅
    That was close.
Went in my room bindged watch fasting videos till you showed up.
You get it!!!! I got down to 160 once
6 miles 3-4 times a week. Couldn't hold on to it, emotional eater!
    That's a problem.
Looking after elderly parents, work, sick husband home my number 1 cheer leader. Thank God for him, like you always telling me consistency and lifestyle changes 🙏 God bless you
I will pray myself through and thank you for putting yourself out there your saving lives! Great testimonial.
Will pray for you at church today 🙏. . Sorry for the
Novel, I'm so moved. Port st lucie Florida is my hometown.

Its easier than you think. I'll admit, I did cheat to start though and by that I mean I took one pill of phentermine, an apetite supressant, in the AM the first two days of my prolonged fasting and the cravings never came. After that, the weight was falling off and the only struggle, which wasn't bad at all, was mental. I lost 10 lbs in 5 days and wasn't uncomfortable at all. Now I think I'm going to try a 60 day fast. I need to lose 70 lbs to hit my goal weight of 160.
Prayer always helps too as your mind is said to get clearer as your body expels the residuals of the processed foods that you had been eating previously. We can get closer to God by focusing on Him instead of the chaotic things in life.

Yes. This SO resonates with me. I’ve done many fasts. Getting through the first day is usually the hardest part for me. I love the results I get with fasting, but keeping them is a challenge. It helps to tell myself that , whatever I’m craving will be available to me at the end of the fast. I think that’s the best thing about your fasts. Every time you break the fast you can have a “ reward” day. This, I think, turns out to be more satisfying than little, GUILTY , treats daily. Another thing that helps me, as well, is getting out of the house, essentially, getting away from the food temptation. People who don’t want to exercise can go to places they’ve thought about visiting , like museums or sightseeing areas; the library is a GREAT place to kill time. You can read magazines( I read food magazines..oddly, they don’t make me hungry; kind of calming, really), watch videos work or play on the computer. I think most of us know how fast the time gets away. Before you know it you’ve made it through the day… Day one down! Go to bed. Rise, empowered to make it through Day 2… Good luck to everyone , but you don’t need luck you have everything you need…🤷🏽‍♀️ Thank you “ Fasting Master” for your content and encouragement. Appreciate you!❤

Well done for continuing. It takes courage to be vulnerable and say this happened, I learned from it and I'm moving forward. We are all on a journey anyway. It's not a sprint. For me praying and journaling helps me. Also weighing everyday keeps me on the straight and narrow. Im starting to see now that weighing every day is not a punishment, it's important information to see if what I'm doing works or doesn't work. I do follow some guidelines though. Like going to the bathroom first, weighing first thing in the morning and weighing at the same time everyday. The human body is an amazing spiritual machine. It knows what to do. Just need to allow it to do that. I enjoy fasting. For me it's my bottom line. Everything else falls into place as long as I carry on fasting everyday. I never thought I could fast. One has to build up the fasting muscle though. The most I've done is a 3 day fast. Was so proud of getting through that. The 2nd day in the afternoon seems to be the hardest. Like Dr Jason Fung says hunger decreases as you continue to fast. Do you think it's healthy for women to do rolling fasts? Also, is it harder for you to fast in cold weather with all the comfort foods around? I find that diet coldrinks on their own trigger me to want to eat carbs and sugar, it's been proved that the body sees it as a sweet taste and it spikes insulin, even though it's artificial sweetners, then I start getting hungry on my fast and want to eat. Sparkling water helps me a lot. It was a nice surprise to see your you tube video pop up again. I think you look thin now. I was smiling when you said you like to watch people eat. I do too. It's cathartic and a stress release for me. It doesn't make me hungry and doesn't make me eat more. Have a lovely and blessed day. Keep going. All will be well.

I'm currently trying to do OMAD and I'm struggling so badly. I have little kids and they're eating all day.
I'm also a teacher and I'm around the kids at lunch time! So, I WANT food. The struggle is real!
I have 100 lbs to lose. I have PCOS, I have I sulim resistance, high blood pressure, carpel tunnel, and knee/joint pain. All of that should get better with fasting...

It does get easier, fasting is like a muscle and the more you train it the stronger you get at it. You can do this.

Everything in your post is basically exactly me! I lost 60 pounds by slowly increasing the length of my fasts (slowly!), and now my health issues are nearly gone or completely gone! Including pcos, joint pain, etc. I literally would not believe this if someone told me. Just start 1 day at a time ❤️

48 Hours is impressive! This is your own personal journey and you define it your own way. If you can only do 48 hours now that's fine. Eventually challenge yourself to do 2 extra hours a day. The small jumps will help your body adjust to longer fasts.
