Why are RUclips videos restricted only to 360p and 720p in safari?? No 1080p or 4k
RUclips ads are out of control.
I can’t stand them anymore, sometimes I lose interest in watching a video if there is a 10-15 second ad before the video
there’s always a 15 second mandatory ad. then you have to wait 5 more bullshit seconds to skip the second ad
RUclips has gotten very greedy over the years

It would’ve funny if you put an ad for this vid lol. Thx for this, tired of ads on mobile. I was totally ok with 1 or 2 five second ads but now it’s 11-15 seconds ads and sometimes multiple of them on videos. Super annoying now.

Wow Brave browser is a lifesaver... cant believe I didn't know a bout it before. I'll be using it as a music player basically... no ads, playing in background, create playlists and even saving them for offline playback... madness

Thank you so much. I installed adguard and still got ads. I'm not familiar with any of iphones features (switching from android) and once I used the share feature to block the ads specifically it works perfect.

I installed brave blocker but how do I watch RUclips on tv via web? There’s no casting symbol
Finally, there would be points where i would skip an add, skip up to 15s max or not even skip a head at all and STILL get another ad 5s later. Not to mention ads turn off looping for whatever reason making it essentially a useless button with how many ads yt has now

Each to his or her own. I am elderly, my hearing isn't as good as it used to be and I find background music of any sort on spoken content on youtube or any other source intensely annoying and impairing of my understanding. I cannot understand why content providers think it necessary. At least the music here is fairly soft, in which case why have it all? Cheers.

Only problem with this fix is that while I can start a vid, turn off the screen and pause the vid, then turn the screen back on and resume the vid from the lock screen and then let the screen go dark again so I can listen to the video with my screen off, once the video ends it won't autoplay the next one in my playlist. So when I'm trying to listen to ASMR videos at night I don't get my ears blasted out by ads and I don't have to have a bright screen on. But if the video ends before I fall asleep I have to wake my phone up and flash a bright light in my face to manually start the next video in the playlist.
Your need is very specific. I’d totally recommend an app that specializes in such a field or make something of a playlist that you can play uninterrupted. This fix is more for people who want to actively watch videos without having to watch ads.

Hmmm... I think the SSL certificate is assigned to the URL in this case youtube.com. I recommend checking you have the URL correct.
The adguard one would be cool except who uses the RUclips mobile web client? 😂😂
I know there has to be a way to disable ads on the RUclips app without having to sign up for their subscription service. For a while, they had an actual version of the app that somebody created that managed to block ads on RUclips. But somehow RUclips found out about this app, and managed to patch whatever this person did so that their ad blocking would not work. Ad guard doesn’t work for me so I guess I’m out of luck since I don’t want to download another browser on my phone!
