Thirty-five years ago as I took my first steps up Mt Fuji, I met an 80-y/o Japanese woman in a white kimono, tabi and sandles on her way down. She smiled and said "Ganbatte!" It was such a tough slog going up and altitude sickness really got me. But to this day, I display images and items depicting Mt Fuji so I can always remember that time, and in spite of life's struggles, I remind myself: Ganbatte! And Hannah, so lovely to see you looking so happy❤
I will always remember sitting at Uluru watching the sunrise many years ago. About 80 people were sitting quietly just watching Uluru change colours as the sun rose. Then we hear ‘It’s just a rock’ said ever so loudly by an American tourist. (I only say American because the accent stood out in the middle of Australia). Then the people gathered let out a quiet sigh in unison and carried on enjoying one of the most amazing sunrises you’ll every see. Loved this video Hannah. People really do need to learn to appreciate the beautiful world we live in. I could have stood looking at Mt Fuji for quite some time - in fact I did. What a beautiful mountain.
Mount Fuji broke me. Climbing that mountain was the hardest thing I've ever done. I thought I was in shape. I didn't realize I would be practically rock climbing. I made it halfway to the halfway point. My back was in so much pain and my boots broke on the way down. It's been 5 years. I will go back and I will reach the top one day. Seeing all these 80/90 year old ladies were practically sprinting up was extremely humbling.
It's so interesting to see how you look at Chris. Easy to tell you fell for him. And to top it off, your videos have become better and better because of the interaction that he brought along. @1:57 That weird review, "you will see the mountain and that's all" - maybe they meant that there was no snow cap, which definitely makes Mt Fuji less picturesque. To be helpful, they should warn people that the snow cap melts in the late season, rather than blaming the laws of physics. :)
That’s true! I remember being kinda surprised to see it without the snow hat, like it makes sense but you just don’t see many photos of it naked like that 😂
I figured it meant, if you're going up on a cloudy day all you'll see is the rocks and the clouds and literally nothing else - no views! (but yes, I could have been surprised by the lack of snow too!)
First off, you’re too late with this sponsor. I’m already using this exact VPN. I wasn’t able to venture around Japan when I was there but I know that would have been a destination I would have loved to see. It’s an iconic location, because if you were to wake up after being drugged from being kidnapped and the hood removed you’d know exactly where you were! During cultural celebrations in India the hiking trails can be just as congested to ceremonial sites. Drowning and being trampled by a hoard of people running from danger are two ways I wouldn’t care to die from. I have to guess the person who had bad vibes was either high on something or had watch the horror movie The Forest, which was supposed to be shot at the foot of Mt Fuji. Since you’re unable to travel home. It’s good you have a like minded companion to travel with and create your videos. As a kid I had gone to Disneyland and rode the train that circles the park. It ends with the view of the Grand Canyon. Then when I actually visited the GC it looked fake or should I say it looked like the version Disney had painted for the train ride. One thing I’m glad about the trails here is that there are outhouses (aka porta potty’s) to use to void your bowels. Having to carry your bodily refuse out in your pack, I’d have a special bag specifically designed to carry it outside hanging off my backpack. But, Ew!
To be quite honest, I do think Fujisan is butt ugly...from up close, that's it. Not a fan of volcanic mountains (unless they have not been active for thousands of years). But I didn't leave 1 star review :') It's very nice from afar. But I am an avid hiker (the reason why I am on your channel right) and I've done many much better and much more beautiful hikes in my life.
hiiiii, love the video, im not saying anything to encourage you stop with the visual videos (they are FREAKING amazing), buuuuut head talks are nice as I can work and listen at same time. thankxxx for all the videos...
10:08 Does this mean you got Japan and China mixed up in high school, or did you literally think they were the same country? Also I couldn't stop laughing at the grand canyon bit.
Nah I got them mixed up a lot. I knew they were separate but knew so little about them that I thought they’d all understand each other’s languages lol.
You guys talking about reviews of places they have never been...oh man you have no idea. I work as a cook in fancier restaurants, and one place i was at was very popular and well liked. We had great food if i do say so myself. Well one day our manager shows us a google review that pretty much says "2 stars. I've never eaten there because i am never able to get a reservation, they should be easier to get a table at" ....Im sorry were too busy for you.....people are the worst haha.
Friendlyjordies made videos called "worst train stations in Australia" and "worst walks in Australia" reacting to google reviews just like this and they were so fucking funny

@@CurrentlyHannah apologies for commenting before finishing the video. Looking forward to more amazing hike videos. :)
I assume the moon one is a reference to princess Kaguya, but I don't think she visited Fuji in the story.
#freechris
Chris is surely an Introvert, he looks more comfortable at 3000m high mountains than when Hannah puts him on spot😂
P.s. love you both❣️
Haha to be fair we both very uncomfortable at the start of filming (and I’m the youtuber lol)
I had to carry my own poo.... 1 star.
Best thing would have been a review from someone named Muhammed saying "I am not going, it has to come to me" #dadjoke
I remember being kinda surprised to see it without the snow hat, like it makes sense but you just don’t see many photos of it naked like that 😂
@@CurrentlyHannah You only ever see photos of it when it's at its best, like Instagram :)
I figured it meant, if you're going up on a cloudy day all you'll see is the rocks and the clouds and literally nothing else - no views! (but yes, I could have been surprised by the lack of snow too!)
what happened to yoshi?
Hi lovely couple❤
they are awesome together!!
But, Ew!
So I guess you could say Chris popped his vlog cherry? Hahaha...
Well, you could say that… 😂
Great Video.
Chris, blink twice if you need us to send help.
Greetings from Romania.... i love japan
To be quite honest, I do think Fujisan is butt ugly...from up close, that's it. Not a fan of volcanic mountains (unless they have not been active for thousands of years). But I didn't leave 1 star review :') It's very nice from afar. But I am an avid hiker (the reason why I am on your channel right) and I've done many much better and much more beautiful hikes in my life.
hiiiii, love the video, im not saying anything to encourage you stop with the visual videos (they are FREAKING amazing), buuuuut head talks are nice as I can work and listen at same time. thankxxx for all the videos...
what happened to Yoshi?
I glad you happy. The the other guys was funnier .
I love you guys so much hahahahahaha 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Interesting project for Google, make sure you where in the surroundings before be allow to review it?
ハンナさんのこと大好きで娘の名前をハンナにしました🙌🙌
How old is Chris? he is reslly good looking!
Is that a Skyrim background on the computer monitor?
Hahaha it might be 😅
@@CurrentlyHannah It's a good choice!
Clearly you are a Mt. Fuji stan 🗻such a bias video 🤪 tell chris he did a great job!
Haha I may be a little bias 😂
These are people that have no concept of what you are doing. Don’t worry they don’t matter to you at all.
Noooo 😂 How do these ppl think the world works?
what happened to japanse bf?
Obviously broke up. New guy looks half Japanese though.
#PeeJelly
Too symmetrical… lol
Hahaha “where’s the variety!”
Chris was forced! It is obvious from his facial expressions. 😆
(His uncle in Thailand)
Haven't seen you in a while girl. Where is Yoshi? Did you kill him and buried him? Just kidding.
Man , you are sick
Friendlyjordies made videos called "worst train stations in Australia" and "worst walks in Australia" reacting to google reviews just like this and they were so fucking funny
Haha damn I’ll have to go watch them. He’s hilarious 😂
Nice young couple..😎
New boyfriend Neymar???????????/
富士山は、普通の山ではないですよ
Glad you got a boy friend your not so up tie. 😁💑 Fun video!! 🌄Mount Rainer is cool but not as cool as Mt Fuji. Cheers 🍸🍸🧔
