Twisted Timbers is one of the greatest rides ever made. The theme is amazing. The ride is intense. Every element surprises me so much and it is the reason I’m the enthusiast I am today.

Another thing about Timber Twister is that the train isn't just any snake, it's a Timber Rattlesnake. So even if it wasn't surrounded by trees, it can still use the name because of the specific kind of snake the train is designed to resemble.

Great video! I first rode Twisted Timbers Summer of 2021. It was my first RMC and I had no idea what to expect. It quickly became one of my (and my 15-year-old daughter's) favorite coasters! Such a wild ride! Going over those airtime hills and through those inversions in the RMC restraints is one of the best experiences out there! Glad to see it at #1 for you!

I've only ridden 2 of the 17 timbers (Those being Timber Wolf and Mystic Timbers), I would say that Mystic Timbers is a near perfect wooden rollercoaster, but there is something about Timber Wolf that brings a lot of nostalgia to my home park. So I'll say Timber Wolf, because of the iconic Chicken Exit, and the fact I've been to WoF an astonishing 89 times
I was just back at WoF over the weekend. Timber Wolf and the whole park is very underrated. They have a very solid top 4, about to be top 5. I get bored by haunted houses & mazes, but the scare actors, shows, and atmosphere was top notch, and I love midnight closings. Timber Wolf is only moderately rough, not bad at all, and I love the surprise ejector hill mid-ride.

I grew up going to Silverwood and riding Grizzly/Timber Terror. That first drop used to look so daunting as a kid. Now it looks so small and shallow. Still, it's the coaster that got me into coasters.
yeah its a fun ride, but recently its gotten very rough. on my last visit (august 2022) I practically got a headache from it.

I rode it just last week, It wasn’t too bad I thought. The 208 track that RMC put in on the turnaround is really nice because I remember that being the toughest part, and now it maintains it’s speed a lot better for the second half. Finally getting some airtime on the comeback. Timber Terror is great, but Tremors is a lot better now.
@@FeaturedAttractionRT Very interesting. I always felt like Tremors was a gimmick. Tunnels, cool. But the rest of the ride is meh. Plus, TT helped me realize I'm a floater boy!
@@FeaturedAttractionRT yeah, I actually got two rides on Timber Terror, and the first one was a little rough but not bad, but my second ride (day 2) the ride was jackhammering like crazy.
The timing of this!! I watched Sophie's coaster list last night and was inspired to check out all the coasters with Timbers in the name! I missed a few, haha.

Love this one, I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this but, Gilroy Gardens coaster cars are a Timber Rattlesnake so it’s part of the theme.

Chris .... you're right; Timber Wolf automatically has a strike against it for being a Dinn wooden coaster (could've been worse, could've been an RCCA creation!) but from what I've read it's actually decent compared to the other 3 remaining Dinn creations (Predator, Thunder Run and Wolverine Wildcat).
Ideas for future coaster battles:
Battle of the Vekoma SLC's in the USA .... we know Great Nor'Easter will win that one, just want the humor in how bad the Mind Eraser (Six Flags America, Six Flags Darien Lake and Elitch Gardens) triplets are; though some have said even worse SLC's are T3 and Kong.
Or how about a battle of the Batman rides: The B&M inverts with the Batman layout actually titled Batman: The Ride (Six Flags Great America, St. Louis, Great Adventure, Magic Mountain, Over Texas, Over Georgia), another B&M Invert (Batman Arkham Asylum at Parque Warner Madrid), a B&M Floorless Coaster (Batman The Dark Knight at Six Flags New England) two S&S 4d Free Spins (Fiesta Texas & Discovery Kingdom) and finally a Vekoma SLC (Batman The Ride at Six Flags Mexico)
I feel Timber! at Walibi deserves some bonus points for having a sound effect of someone yelling Timber! every time the train goes down the first drop.
Idk why but you saying coasters won’t go timber, then SOB being torn down made me laugh way more then I should.
I LOVE this series. It is one of my favorite things to watch on youtube. Shame there's only 4 so far

Fraipertuis City is actually a really nice, little Park. It´s a tiny Wild West Themed Park in a Valley in the middle of Nowhere in France. They have a really cool Intamin Drop Tower called Golden Driller with each of the 4 gondolas offering a different ride experience, including the rare Stand Up experience. Visited there a couple of years ago on a rainy Sunday, maybe 50 visitors at best, but every ride was operating and they just let us marathon Timber Drop for as many laps as we wanted at a time.
Gotta say, the narration on this one was excellent! Spot on humor as well. One of your best 👏
This is my favorite series from Airtime Thrills! It always makes me laugh and I enjoy every second of this series.
Airtime thrills, if you read this, here is my suggestion for the next coaster battle parody: try ranking all the coasters with the word "hang". (I would count Dr Diabolical's Cliffhanger)

Awesome video. Loved it. Mystic Timbers is a blast. No mid brake course. Fast from beginning to end. Even in the winter.
I love this series! It might be my favorite of yours. I totally agree with your top 3 in the same order. Having not ridden many on this list, including Silverwood's, my 4th favorite would be Timber Wolf. I just rode it several more times over the weekend. I've never found it to be jackhammer-level. It's a bit rough, worse in a wheel seat, but not bad.

I’ve ridden Timber! and you can’t escape from getting stapled right out of the gate. I also overhyped Mystic for myself so I left with the boomerang being the best coaster (as well as the oldest in the current line up, although another coaster briefly coexisted until sometime between their Tivoli and Six Flags only investment into the park-a forceless mouse)
My favorite Timber Terror fact: Remember on old Mac computers they had the photo booth and you could change the background behind you? One of them was a roller coaster - that coaster was Timber Terror.
I have ridden Roaring Timbers in Vietnam. It's a fun ride. But Phu Quoc island itself is the real experience, you gotta get there. It's such an insane place.

I really enjoy this series. Have you though of ranking all coasters with the word “steel” in the name? ….Steel Force, Steel Curtain, Steel Vengeance, Steel Dragon 2000, etc.? …just an idea. Keep up the great work!

Hey! well done on nailing the Rhones-Alpes pronunciation! just in case you see Fraisperthuis in the future, it's pronounced: "Fray-Pair-too-ee"- and it means "Fresh Hole" in the local dialect. (Yeah... I know) - this park is actually a wonderful local one that's not afraid to punch above their weight- They're not afraid to do big investments and play the long game- They even have an Intamin freefall custom tower. It's close to Europapark and worth an afternoon if you're in the area!
The only reason why I’d go to Michigan’s Adventure would be to ride Shivering Timbers

I rode Runaway Timber Train, it's now closed. Loudon Castle used to be the spot where scots can experience thrills, then it closed. Then M&D's pinfari suspended coaster (tsunami) had an accident which led it to be closed. Scotland was left with trash coasters, soon Looping Star in Codonas and Tornado (arguably the most thrilling coaster in scotland but easily one of the worlds worst rollercoasters) closed down leaving Scotland with no inversions. Now this closes and soon Scotland's coaster lineup will be dead.

Shivering timbers over mystic, shivering timbers is just.. perfect. It’s my favorite woodie. The airtime is elite and the only rough part is the finale helix. It’s super close to beating twisted timbers

Do “roller coaster/any other non-English coaster whose name translates to roller coaster.” You probably just need to include the major ones. Other ones include tornado, monster, and wacky worm.

I love both Mystic and Twisted timbers but I personally put Mystic timbers on top. It's by far the smoothest out of control woodie I've ever rode. I enjoy stuff like beast and Eltoro but my rides on them have been rough to the point where I didn't enjoy them. Mystic timbers is to date the most enjoyable woodie I've ever rode. I honestly wish cedar fair would put more of these gci's in other parks... My first trip to Kings island back in June had me looking forward to Orion and diamondback but I came home with a new love and that's Mystic timbers. I returned to KI 3 more times this year because of it. I also got my first rides on Twisted timbers this year and while I loved it, I found it to be a "baby steel vengeance". Granted it's a differnt layout but it's still similar. Also I fell victim to the locker system failing. I waited 45 minutes to get my phone and keys because their system was acting up and it didn't remember my symbol/DOB.. Best ride at KD but I still would rather ride Mystic timbers.

Timbers rule. I've only ridden Mystic and Shivering, but they are both among my favorites. Shivering is my favorite Timbers, possibly even my favorite coaster. I'm sure Twisted will also rank pretty high once I get down there.
