Why is there a double standard when it comes to "my body, my rules" between genders?
Because usually women want the power but not the responsibility, they don't want equality, just control.
That's why this woman cames out with the idea that noone can have control on her body, but she can pretend to have control on someone else's body.
A tubal means a removal of the tubes. I had it done with my youngest daughter and was still taking care of her after it and a C-section
Are you referring to a tubal ligation or removal? A tubal ligation is not a removal of your fallopian tubes. I feel pretty sad for you if you’ve had this procedure and don’t know exactly what was done.
But if you’re referring to removal of the fallopian tubes that is called a salpingectomy, either single or bilateral. That is certainly a permanent in vitro sterilization procedure, but may not be covered by insurance.
oooo snap pretty crazy how u might have gotten a surgery u didnt sign off on or know u was gettin. u thought u was gettin simple tubes tied which is reversable awhole lot easier than a vasectomy. but instead they sterilized u.

Since when is getting your tubes tied cheaper safer and designed to be reversible? While both procedures can be "reversed" they aren't designed to be. It's why it's considered a permanent form of birth control. The only vasectomies I heard that are harder than tube tying is in the military.

I'm not sure how to feel about this. I don't like how she said that she isn't forcing him to get the vasectomy, just that if he doesn't they can't be married no more. Like what? That is literally forcing him. If she said that since the first conversation it would be understandable that he would get angry. If she made it an ultimatum instead of a discussion about what to do, already having decided she isn't getting any of the other options, than she would be TA, even though he is also TA for saying things that cruel.
But vasectomies are easy to perform, easy to recover from, and easy to reverse. So why the strong opposition to it?

the patch and pill are harder to tamper with, though? he could have poked the condom sure. She could try the implant, or shots insteads of iud and pills, or have a bilateral salpingectomy, it takes the entire tube away and is even more effective than both tubal and vastectomy.

It so funny, If she did abort the Kids or just had her Tubes tied and he would leave over this, everyone would be telling her that while it is her body, he has also the choice to to go, but somehow If the dude doesn't want to get snipped, she can't leave? Here's another idea, how about the two of you just stay off each other until one of you agrees to get the tubes tied. It's a lot more convincing than using words.
Well his body his choice. Like she could get her tubes tied, but something something can't control her body. She wants to destroy her family over this then more power to her. It's really hard to feel sympathy for her when she intentionally says "You're sounding like my abusive ex" which is an incredibly manipulative thing to say, then she's going to coerce him into getting one, but still leave anyway. Sounds like she's more like her ex than she is.

Most twins are delivered c-section and having your tubes tied is simple and easy while they’re already in there. So I think that issue with resolve itself.
The much bigger issue is that this shitty husband views his wife as more of an asset than a separate human. He’s not worried at all about what she’s going through, it’s all about keeping himself from being uncomfortable. He’s selfish. That’s a big problem and I think separation is appropriate Bc there’s probably many, many other examples of similar behavior.
I don't think OP is being unreasonable, her feelings are valid, and she has sacrificed her body too much and her life has been in danger for too long, many men don't understand the stress a woman's body goes through during pregnancy, it's very dangerous. It's only fair that the husband does this for her. I understand the fear, specially because some men's masculinity is so fragile they feel they're less manly if they "shoot blanks" but come on! She has been pregnant far too long.

He's purposely getting you pregnant. I don't say that lightly but from how he's acting after you suggested a vasectomy a more permanent form of birth control and the fact you brought up having more kids with someone else if that happened he wants more kids and he doesn't care what you think about it. I know having a tubal ligation or something along those lines takes more time but go for it and see how it reacts I got a feeling he's going to try and divorce you almost immediately. Having twins by c-sections really common as somebody else in the comments section said I think you should get your tubes tied and or taken out at that point and see how he reacts got a feeling he's going to leave you. Do it before he gets a chance, divorce and realize he is not the great guy you thought.

Based on the fact that she is using the pill and the patch too, this is highly unlikely. Messing with one form of contraception maybe, someone unhinged could do that (but her husband doesn't sound that way at all, and she says as much) but messing with three at the same time, two of which she monitors and manages, yeah that's dumb and you're just trolling.

Why be opposed to a vasectomy when it is an easy procedure and reversible. Getting one’s tubes tied is a far more invasive procedure and OP’s body has been through enough in such a short time. Time for husband to step up to the plate for the good of his family after OP has physically been through so much.
