This is the second time around!
Thing I notice instantly with Elise’s vocals is how impeccable her timing is. Guess this is what you get with an individual who’s equally talented as a drummer and vocalist. Great stuff. 😊🤙🏼
Her sense of timing is probably due to all the live looping songs she does. Timing must be precise otherwise it all goes downhill with digital looping
It feels like it’s another one of her instruments.
Seeing how everybody is just vibing and having a good time genuinely makes me happy
What I love about this version is that Elise was being Elise and Dave was being Dave. No one tried to be someone else. Loved the Daryl Oates feel on this song!!

When I saw this video in my YT feed, I think I clicked it before I even finished reading the title. My instincts were right. What a fantastic version of this song. Elise's voice is so captivating, and Dave is phenomenal as usual.
One of my favorite parts of watching Scary Pockets videos is how much fun the musicians are having. The joy of music.
Anyone comment on how great the drummer is? The fact that he's playing the drums dynamically to fit the room and the band, instead of just bashing away loudly like most drummers.

Epic ensemble, Dave Koz & Elise Trouw... this version hit the spot like a cold beer on a hot day!
This arrangement and tempo are well suited to Dave Koz’s sax style but the thing I love about Elise Trouw is her sultry introspective singing style. To me this arrangement is way too fast. I’d love to hear Elise do her own version of this in her own style.
The Tame Impala cover is still my favourite SP cover. This comes close.
