This is impossible to find now. I think it's discontinued. Simoniz was dumb to discontinue it. Too late, as I'm going to buy from their competitors instead.

Not bad for a cheaper coating. Was impressed but knew once 266 was applied that would be it :) Thanks Brian for all you do to show us all different products

I was ready to say something to the effect of maybe it belongs in the 5 and dime, but it made it through the 10 wash. Wasn't there a Simonize product that didn't make it through a couple of washes? It was costly too.
The dollar store series is getting interesting Brian. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the tests, keep going and you may find a gem.

I wonder what the real difference is between this and their immortal paste wax (which I STILL use occasionally.) Although Nothing bad with this Ceramic - just seems to be nothing outstanding there either. Perhaps this should be best suited for engine bay/under hood detailing and door jams.

I assume you still have a jar of Collinite 845, 476 or 915 at home?
These old fashioned top waxes never disappoint and more than live up to expectations, applied on a perfect base/clear coat.
The ceramics can be an added value, but this is personal. A while ago I had bought a TW Ceramic Detail Spray and was unevenly disappointed, streaks and smudges etc. Immediately I tossed the tube in the trash. Sometimes simplicity is good.
The above is my opinion. grtz.

@@TheCeki1982 glad to read your response 👍, Prep is the key WHATEVER you are applying. Soooo many still don't get/understand that you can't just slap something on. As long as the surface is contaminant free ANYTHING will apply/remove/shine - even good-ole Turtle Wax Hardshell. Got to put in the time first!
Now, as for the TW Ceramic Spray...
coincidentally I plan to apply a 2nd coat to my wife's metalflake blue Mazda today (true!) lol...
I love the stuff and have no issues (sorry you did) but there are a couple of minor easy things to make that stuff work [for me:] application is with a lightly dampened (distilled h2o) square microfiber applicator then spray several passes (to start) of the Ceramic Wax to the applicator then apply methodically in a criss-cross pattern to 1 or 2 panals at a time. If applied directly to paint - just a few light sprays per panel ONLY! It can be easy to over apply! It is quite concentrated - it is economical and a little goes a long way. THE KEY is to follow the application with an initial wipe with a well dampened (not "wet") short knap microfiber towel - that will level/eliminate ANY streaks and kick start the shine polymers - I ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE THIS. Then follow with a buff with your favorite fluffy!! I urge you to give that stuff another go - it's terrific stuff. I use the damp towel thing with their Seal&Shine and FLEX Graphene Spray as well - just an added minute or two to the job and it just works (in fact it's in their instructions) - eliminates any potential frustration and produces gr8 results.
Collinite? Carnuba's? Yeeeeuup! They still have their place! I have a flat paint (Tornado Red) GTI. Carnuba is the look for me! 👌🏼
      Shine on you crazy diamond!

@@TheCeki1982 Collinite 845 is liquid body armour. It's my go to for Canadian winters because its durability cannot be matched by any other wax or sealant. After 4 months of snow, ice, salt and sand the stuff still beads.

@@TheCeki1982 I have both Collinite and a jar of original formula Meguiars #16. I use Megs on the top of the car and hood. The Collinite goes on the sides and rear since those areas get dirty faster.

Hello, I need advice. I did a 3 step paint correction (clay bar, compound, polish ), and now I am considering Meguires Ultimate wax paste, or Meguires Hybrid Ceramic. I'll have to do this in early morning sunshine, it's a 22 foot Class A motorhome, 50% of it is new dark color 2 stage paint ( 3 months old), the other half is corrected older paint, it's aluminum NOT fiberglass. What would you use from Wal-Mart.
P.S. it will never be in the shade or covered. Temps from snow to low 90's. Won't be driven in the rain much.
I appreciate any advice. I subbed, and like your videos. Also the paint correction was done with all Meguires. I prefer a paste wax over liquid if it's better. Thanks.

Can't find this anywhere. Why would they bother making this and then not have anyone sell it?? Too late for them. The competition has beaten them out of the market as there are spray on ceramic waxes that do the same job for 40% less per ounce! They were fools to not take advantage of the market when this first came out. Could only find one measly bottle. I won't bother looking for it when it runs out. Will try Griots brand next time. That is available at Target, Wal mart, Pep Boys, etc.

@@apexdetail85 If you have Bargain Hunt they have a lot of this type of stuff, but also I occasionally find stuff like Feynlab paint prep for $5, or Griot’s foaming tire cleaner for $4.99. I got a broken Torque 21mm for $75. (Chemical Guys fixed it for $80) and recently an MJJC foam cannon missing the pickup tube for $40.

Simoniz takes up a good chunk of retail space at Canadian Tire stores in Canada. Most of their stuff is mediocre at best, garbage at worst. I use their microfibre towels for interiors, wheels and tires and some of their brushes and applicator pads. Other than that I won't go near the brand, epecially the pressure washers.

    • @jdisdetermined
      @jdisdetermined 2 года назад +1

The majority of people using these kinds of retail LSPs aren’t doing the decon and prep. They’re just washing and applying. If you’re not doing the prep it can’t bond properly and you’re wasting your time and money applying better, more expensive, long lasting protections anyway.
