  • I attended the Undiscovered Realm Comic Con at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY. I give the event a 4.5 out of 10. Firstly, it is a lot smaller than the NY Comic Con in August and the cost to attend was $35 and the cost to attend the NY Comic Con is less than $100.
There weren't many vendors and the artists were fine but no one seems to pay attention to them. You will see Killer Klowns, The Riddler, the iron giant, Darth Vader and Wario in the part of the video where I walk around the floor.
The best part was the TMNT panel with most of the cast from the original movie in 1990. They were interesting comments from the panel. One panelist said all the studios rejected it and it was the most successful independent movie. I think that most successful independent movie is Star Wars as lucas financed them on his own through bank loans. After they were successful, he paid the loans back. I think Lucas did that as he wanted complete control of the movies and that might be a good or bad thing with the prequels.
During the Q&A, my question which I didn't get to ask was why didn't Judith Hoag return as April for the sequel? She told a nice story about Robin Williams. I recently was watching old episodes of Roseanne and she was the realtor in the episode where they open the Lunchbox. She also talked about going to Jim Henson's funeral and she seemed genuine and nice which might be the reason why her career didn't hit the bigtime. Its hard to hit the bigtime if you are not sleeping with a bunch of producers, lol. Josh Pais didn't seem to be on the panel.
The story about acting to a tennis ball from Robbie Rist, was that a reference to BoJack Horseman? There is a scene where they have a green screen making the story of the D and Naomi Watts' character was replaced with a tennis ball on a stick.
The pizza question during the Q&A was uninspired. The Hawaiian answer was great.
There was a poster of the turtles that I wanted to buy and you see it in my video at the 10:06 mark. There was also a signed Kevin Conroy framed image from Batman the Animated Series but it was $750.
