Three Wheel Kawasaki Z1000

- Custom built three wheel conversion. Never lowside again! better braking and you will drag knee ( If you so choose). This modified Kawasaki Z1000 is still in development but the pivoting function definitely improves cornering speed compared to something like a Can Am.

This Park sign describes "the Snake"
"You are standing at the top of curves that road enthusiasts affectionately call "The Snake". Over the years Mulholland Highway has tested the merits of cars from Duesenbergs to Teslas. This particular stretch of road is a mecca for motorcyclists. It's sharp turns offer an adrenaline rush and a chance for fun, fame and often folly.
To your left is "Edwards Corner". It was named after the late Ed Savko, long-time owner of the Rock Store., a popular road house just down the hill. Hundreds of riders have (----) on this challenging 180- degree curve, perhaps showing off for spectators, who often gather here. Other succumb safely to the charm of "The Snake." "
Thanks for watching!
Perfect for someone who has a injury, but still wants to ride.
+adnolaz eh, not much but sure. lol
+adnolaz Not really. Looks like it takes the same amount to ride and work the mechanisms... Just less chance of falling..
Configured properly, and with proper talent, one of these might be able to corner faster than a traditional race bike...
People hate on stuff like this, but if I was disabled and still wanted to ride a fast bike around corners this is the perfect choice. Even if you couldn't hang off because of physical disability you could still go faster than a Can Am. Think outside the box people.
Stealth Bobber
yep, it's crap.
Stealth Bobber if you were disabled you couldn't ride at all
Disabled people ride.
Im disabled and i still ride...
If A disabled person really wants to ride... They'll ride... I've seen guys paralyzed from the waist down on a traditional motorcycle. ... that's a bad excuse...
Yet, I will say this would be a PERFECT device to help build confidence into people afraid to lean over with the bike.
I see this thing as a great learning tool for getting comfortable with hanging off a bike & dragging a knee.
Love the three wheeler. No more low sides on dirty corners. Thumb's up for the quadcopter shots, really taking the channel to the next level.
these drone shots are next level
Masa siiih 😙😙
tapi boong
One thing I like about this is you may be able to convert a second bike with a kit
+RNickeyMouse Nice video! Love the new drone aspect. Keep it up.
I am french biker and sorry for my english very bad i want tell to you : Congratulations for your movies! More more!!!✌😉
Interesting indeed!
perfect for all the beginner wanna be MotoGP guys.. this should be mass produced. Imagine how many wrecks could be avoided :D
Real similar articulation and setup that the Vespa MP3 has. Pretty unique!
Gun channel trigger warning ^
Definitely a good invention for say people with handicaps that want to ride sportbikes.
I think it's awesome.
+snowcat Cool story bro. Now go cry on your channel some more.We all know you only show up to thuse cannels and comment just to fish more subs. Fuck off.
+NoOneImportant556 lol get his ass
+NoOneImportant556 tell us how you really feel
snowcat keep thinking
Dude, I never thought your vids could get more epic.....they just did with the drone footage!!!! Awesome!!!
Opening shots add a new element to your videos.
Interesting bike for sure.
Ive been designing a prototype and its similar to this design except it stretched more and much lower.
Exactly for the reason he stated
"The back will try to come out"
Lower, longer, semi-actuated lean...
much much larger engine.
And it has a cockpit.
Like a fighter jet on the ground.
If all goes well, ill get the other backers and itll be consumer ready by 2025.
So awesome to see others going the same direction.
Thank you!
two, three wheels, scooter, cruisers, sport bikes, motorized bicycles, as long as it's on the road, it's a fellow rider brother/sister.
dirt bikes too (its a very dirty road so it counts)
I gotta say dirt bikes especially, us dirtheads love to make these things fly haha
100GTAGUY lol fair enough :)
+100GTAGUY true
What about road bikes? As in cycling :P Am I a fellow too?
I believe this would be so perfect for people with physical disabilities, being too short, etc., they can still rip and go fast and look cool too. I support this because no one should be robbed of riding for a minor to moderate hindrance.
凄い技術力だ! Amazing technical capabilities!
Even if this isn't your kind of thing, props to this guy for developing it. Nice alternative to the Can Am, since this actually leans.
+Lord Tippington the Wise - Atheist Knight of Le Reddit Gentlesirs Yamaha is making one that looks way better
rideapart.com/articles/three-wheel-yamaha-fz-09-headed-production
but, can it lane split?
I highly doubt it
Lmao
excellente prise de vue !!!! top
that is insane!!!!!! plus the footage with the drone are great
i ride manila หหหไไำ--ุ
0:27 that outside wheel is wobbling a fair amount. :S
It's because the inside wheel travels at less a distance than the outside wheel, causing the outside wheel to skid. Limited slip differentials would solve that issue.
Come on bro look at the close up of the front end at 42 seconds. Clearly unpowered / independent front wheels. Just like how most any bike is...
@@ninjaguysith The front wheels are not driven dude
this configuration should make drifting an easy task
At first I was like wtf did u do to the bike, but thats actually kinda cool they way they made it.
2F 1R : Good thing for winter , just hope Anlas tire will be cheaper . Here in Qc the snow flake logo is required on mandatory snow tire between 15 dec to 15 mars for ANY motorized vehicule .
Very cool! And I love what a beast that S1000RR is!
sweet ride! I could handle pulling up a plank and watching some bikes cruise around those twisties. yeah drones are a awesome bit of kit. yuneec make a good one with a 4k camera on a gimble.
Interesting one off, love my 1st gen Z1k, and I do like 3 wheelers 👍
I legitimately thought the drone footage was a professional advertisement for something. The quality of the videos just increased tenfold.
Would buy for sure. haters gonna hate.
In my opinion, one of the funniest things of driving bike on public street is the possibility to follow personal lines into the carriageway, but if you got a bike large like this it gets more complicated and less fun.
However it looks interesting!!
Do please upload more videos. They're awesome
Now that is fresh. I like the color scheme too.
CRAZY! Looks like a lot of fun.
No se quien puede poner una mano abajo a una forma mas de ir en moto, he incluso para gente con discapacidad. Buen desarrollo tremoto.
This fixes the one thing I don't like about racing bikes. You can't know the limit until you low-side essentially, there's no testing the limit, it's either gripping or not, on or off.
Definitely not crash proof. If I could not longer hold up a two wheeler, I would consider a tilting 3 wheeler to continue riding. I would never get a traditional trike though. Might as well be in a convertible than a trike IMO.
Looks like fun to me
What a weird little thing... I like it! I'll probably buy a cheap 1k bike off Craigslist to convert for one of these if the front end is sold as a kit at a reasonable price.
i could really love to see this thing pop a wheelie
これは凄いな!
Crazy looking machine. I would love to give it a try someday. Awesome video.
...but can it do wheelies?
+drink15 probably not lol
+drink15 no, but pehaps excellent stoppies...
Lmao....
It can actually
i want to see if it could drift around the corners and wonder if it would handle well.. looks coool and looks like a fun ride for a day when you are not wanting to push to hard but dont want to ride a scooter or an atv.
Nice Share !!!
;)
It's a great time to Ride
Love the drone shots!
fucking love that drone shot.
Advantage should be on wet or sandy roads, avoiding a lowside.
Could make sense with a ESP stabilisation, i.e. electronic brake alteration between left and right, depending on gyro speed.
holy shit that is legit. I might get back on the saddle for this insanity. Cant wait to see one of these wheelie past me. lol.
Very interesting and different.
This guy could make SOOOOO Mich money!!
THE 0:08 PICTURE IS THE BEST... NICE TOY
Sad to see the opening shot. That area was so beautiful before the fire. Burned down to a moonscape. Nothing left and it won't recover for decades.
nice 3 wheel bike cool man
De la bombe!!!!! Ça doit être énorme comme expérience!!!!
top notch content, thank you for your hard work and dedication, keep it up! i love the drone footage by the way!
Those angles are amazing! Keep doing the drone shots, thats that next level shit!
A fantasy for me!
Looks like a great way to go through twice as many front tyres while loosing agility
if you play it in slow mo you can see the whole front end shaking when he goes around the corner. enough to shake the headlight pod. something geometrically doesn't seem right. like does it still have front suspension or does it just lean now?
Push the limits of anything and they lose composure to a degree.
Sweet training wheels.
Piaggio MP3 has this concept, but, has this one, it looks like a bike for handicaps (in the goog meaning). Now put the two front whells «together» and turn into a «regular» bike, and you still can split lanes.
Wow nice skills... I wandering how people that buy spider bike cornering is it the same way? (Sorry about my English)
“...other times ya just get chucked” 🤣 I love it
Fricken cool
rnickey I am loving your new look in videos !! keep up the awesome work ..... maybe one day I will make it out to the west cost and get my A@@ on one of your videos ....
very good videos, all types of motorcycles, hayabusa least, has not there?
That thing gets pretty deep
Nice footage & editing.
Tough to tell as only real good shot is pausing at 0:43 but suspension being heavy could be geometry perhaps? Doesn't seem to have any castor to it. In addition, appears upper and lower control arms are equal length meaning some serious scrubbing when your suspension is moving. I wonder what camber is like. A little toe out might make steering more responsive maybe?
Overall, would be neat as a kit, but I would like to see the geometry on a white sheet.
Other part of it can be that when a bike turns, it pivot point for lean is at the road surface. But.... tough to explain, but if you kinda visualize what happens in the leans.... Hold hands upright holding a pencil or something between them.
|---|
Then lean
/---/ ... Hrm... I will need to peekies at cad... Parallel axis means it should still move as normal with suspension and compression functioning the same, but that suspension setup... I think it is just too squared up.
Interesting.
Are you using a drone now for some of your photographic work? If so, which one? I'd really like to see your photographic/videographic setup.
+Gary C I don't know what drone type but check the description for a link to the guy who owns it
Okay. later on, in one of the accident videos, I got a glimpse of it, and I think it's a DJI Phantom, although I can't tell which model.
www.dji.com/products/compare-phantom
Starting at about 3:50 in the Double Crash guardrail video, you can see the drone for about 3-4 seconds, although the image isn't very good, I still think it's a Phantom, which are one of the most popular consumer platforms right now, since it's ready to go out of the box.
+Gary C It's not a DJI. It's a Yuneec 500 4K
ACHris Have not heard of it, but I don't have the money to spend on a drone right now, anyway. :)
However, looking it up, that seems to be a very nice drone, and with a 4K video system, as well. I suspect at 1080p and 120fps, you must get some pretty amazing video of the bikes and cars going up and through the Snake.
One day, some day, when I get my bike, I really want to travel down there for a weekend, just to see the show. It would be truly amazing.
+ACHris The video quality from that drone is insane. Thanks for the info.
Hail from Brazil \o/. I love your videos! I just wish you were able to upload videos more often though. Keep up the good work!
That looks cracking, would love a shot on it :)
I like it much rather rip that than a Can am spyder for sure,,,different,,,Nice machine lads it flippin sounds ggrrreat too!!! Keep Safe Guyz.....
nice 📷 camera
Good shots from the S1000RR. What are you using to horizon stabilize your camera?
I had never seen a sport bike with training wheels before ;)
I like this bike! Is this custom designed or direct from the manufacturer.
Cool thing - but why? Just - because you can?! But it is really a interesting project, respect for building this.
high quality video ! =)
is this cornering faster than a 2 wheels sport bike?
but will it wheelie
1:36 hey buddy can you show that corner from this angle more often? I like seeing how people enter and exit
does that thing also "highside proof"?
So, I'm a newbie biker & have a question...if a motorcycle blows a front tire is it automatically a major wreck? Of course, not just creeping or moving slowly.
RNickeyMouse seu canal e foda. ja endiquei para muitas pessoas a qui no BRASIL
That thing is boss
KAWASAKI - Z1000cc ; TRICICLOS !!!…OK … ÓTIMO Estabilidade Segurança Conforto !!!…………………………………………………
excellent !
That's cool
No more low or high sides your only worried would be taking it too deep in the corner running wide
RNicky can I say as someone who watches your videos, I'm curious as to what the person behind the camera looks like.... Does he ride? Does he too, tear ass up and down Mulholland all day?
Yeah, but does it still counter-steer like a motorcycle? If not, I couldn't ride it. Every time I try a "regular" trike or quad, I can't sort out the steering and wind up going the wrong way.
Is this something that would be used to teach people to corner or what?
no not lowside of course,
i think high side will be more likely to occur since it's now working almost like an ATV.
But still it will be fun though.. I like this
dope video...love it
JUST WOW!!!
I was impressed considering I'm on an SAE team, but after seeing it was just a kit the fuck I just gave flew out the window.
i think its awesome! not for me but i think for disabled people. in that case you also need to put the gear-changing to the legt handelbar und switch gears via hydraulic system. Herr in germany there are many people using systems like that, also with three wheelers :)
And now in the 2018 yamaha lineup introducing the Niken!
