So this joke gets suspended for a year for talking shit about someone, the same penalty dished out for 2 anglers that almost killed their co-anglers at Harris Chain, by disregarding the No Wake zone on Camera... MLF needs to get their act together, one of those offenses is not like the other.

He was going to be looking for another place to fish next year anyway since they’re cutting to 65 angles. Watson doesn’t need MLF and Duckett anyway, he’s a millionaire, he’ll go fish NPFL and he’s brand will get even bigger. Duckett is just butt hurt and he’s ruining MLF, there’s gonna be a lot more that leaves MLF next season.
Best thing to happen to James. His brand is rising and Boyd’s is falling.

Uhmm James was a customer since the beginning so you do have a say, he served his time protecting his right and others. I never cared for MLF til I got to know James. Many will be backing him and put their time where he goes. He will do well in the NPFL or BASS. The other guys in MLF look like Pupppets and have their intelligence insulted as well. Any good business man would call Boyd out on his poor business decisions.

Most of the guys sponsored by Duckett were in line to get cut at BASS. That is the reason MLF started when it did. He couldn’t have Tim Horton, Brent Myers, Kelly Jordan and himself all being cut and still promote his brand. Duckett has helped his bank accounts and a few others but has jacked pro bass fishing up. Will take a new owner to fix this mess.
Sorry so long, this has crushing to a super fan like me. My old heroes became a non-factor in the sport. MLF wasn’t watchable.

Did Worldwide get suspended for disparaging remarks about MLF? Or disparaging remarks about an individual (Boyd Duckett) the two are not necessarily synonymous. Duckett may have walked into a trap. Watson might just sue Duckett and not MLF.
If MLF suspended him for disparaging remarks against an individual and not the organization. Then MLF is in breach of contract and wide open to lawsuits

As to Poche, he would have received a fine from Texas Park and Wildlife had it been witnessed first hand. Yes, I was told that BY the state. The way he crossed the dam was illegal. Period. These are two different issues altogether.
All they did was set him loose, I guarantee JW will double down.

First - no, there won't be any lawsuit. Second - no, he wouldn't win. He signed a contract. People don't understand the 1st Amendment. It says you can say just about anything...as long as you're willing to deal with the consequences. He was warned. He was fined. Duckett took the exact measures he had to in order for it to hold up in court. Third - you're kidding yourself if you don't think that this is exactly what James wanted. He skips his fees for next year (which he can use on fines) and start his run wherever he'll be fishing next. He probably wouldn't make the cut in 2026 anyway...this gives him a head start. So no, no lawsuit. Think it through.
@@cerebraltackleif it did go to court, he may be able to show that the deal he signed became null and void when Duckett changed what had been promised to all the anglers to lure them from BASS. I said this on another post on Facebook. Curious what your thoughts on that might be. Regardless, it should be interesting to watch it all unfold.

You're not wrong...BUT 1) Right or wrong, Watson agreed to the contract. 2) Such contracts are standard in ANY business today. 3) I highly suspect that this is how Watson wanted it to end up. It works to his advantage. 4) Fishing is not how he provides for his family.
