I love how the community has turned Mr. Terry into a true Sabaton fan.
I think one of the awesome things, when you're having a RUclips channel, is that you get into topics you haven't known before - just because the community requests it. Also sometimes you get to know people if they contact you. (e.g. other RUclipsrs, music bands, politicians - depends on what you're doing and how famous you are)... A friend of mine has a very small channel were he mostly shows the computer game Combat Mission, but occasionally also other war gaming related games - and he sometimes gets free pre-release versions from game companies, etc...
I thought the same, it's awesome!
Yesss, I was thinking the same.
it is indeed glorious
We did it lads

When I went to see them in concert, there was like a 9 year old kid there and it was his birthday so Joakim actually gave him his sun glasses, and the kids name was Leonidas, so we (the audience) just started chanting like ancient Greeks. It was freaking awesome lol
Joakim is awesome

Sabaton: Hello there
Me: this will make a fine addition to my collection
When Sabaton was filming for this music video, they got into a nasty car accident. They were bruised up and had to cancel a few shows.
One more to the list
Oh shit, my favorite band almost died?
@@nyl0n733 yeah, i was scared too as i heard it, saw the pictures on their websites, they looked not good... But luckily they're still alive...
Well they haven't cancelled any show, they just posticipated them
Oh! And that's why everyone was saying something about a crash in the comments.
Wait, so this history teacher went from not knowing who they are to going to one of their concerts!?
I love how when he first watched them he was like "he's gonna break his knee cap!" To now he's like "this is gonna be a great guitar solo!" Lol
yup, i now fully believe we have converted him to the Sabaton cult
Hell yeah!
AMEN!
Yes the foot armor cult
@@carolusrex6467 yes,quite right indeed.
I wouldn't call it a cult
I would call it a new type of homo sapiens
My favourite part of all this is that on the Bismarck video he was like "who are this guys?" "is this from a movie?" "do they always do history themed music?" "are they known?"
And now he's like "I'm so excited to review this song because it's my favourite song from the last album" "our favourite metal history Swedish band" "ohh, there joakim, the singer of sabaton" "you should totally go check them out" "I went to their last concert"
The community really turned him into a true Sabaton fan.
How about reacting to The Last Battle - Sabaton. It's about the battle of Itter Castle in the last days of the second world war
Yes, please!!
After seeing Indy of Arabia I'm ready to see some Indyana Jones stuff...Also I'm going to see them live next January...
Me too! Zurich, here I come!
@@omegraptorch3624 YEAH!!!\m/

I took the official t-shirt for this
I mean, Indy is short for Indiana (Indy's real name) so that works.
They got screwed over with a copyright strike on their music video about the Winter War.
We've just resolved that with KAVI

I love Indy man. If you didn’t know he also has a channel called World War Two, where he and Spartacus Olsen cover Ww2 week by week. You should definitely check it out
And World War I as well.
ScarriorIII Yep
For the music video Sabaton filmed in the Sahara Desert. While there they got into a pretty serious car accident that nearly ended their, at the time, upcoming "Great War" Tour. The band chose to play for their fans even while some had fractured ribs. They kept that fact hidden from the fans until the tour was over.
The drummer's wife is the lead singer in a band called Nightwish. She is the third singer which have been only women. The official genre is Symphonic metal.
And they have a Sabaton baby :3
I watched the Bismarck video just before this without having even noticed any other Sabaton videos. Apparently they hit home quite well :D First video "Never even heard of them, I guess they're a metal band", latest video "I was really excited for this because this is my favorite song on their new album".
Not gonna lie.... when you paused at the start of the solo I got mad ;_;
"Alright, ready for a sick solo here"
Me: "..........yis"
It's amazing having a person's reaction, AND some History leasons, I really enjoy watching this channel so much!
Glad there are teachers like you out there. Also T. E. Lawrence was a pretty brilliant person.
Watch their other hits too - uprising, 40: 1, Inmate 4859. I really recommend
8:00 HELL YESSSS!!! Sabaton in concert is so amazing!!!
And the sad thing is the guilt T. Lawrence felt from Britain’s betrayal of Arabia led to his death.
T. Lawrence rode motor bikes because the thrill of high speeds helped him deal with him his guilt.
One day while riding, two boys came around the corner on bikes and he swerved to avoid them and crashed.
Filmed in Tunisia, and the band had a car accident there
Yeah I remember when they posted that on instagram. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt
To answer your question, YES. They filmed in Northern Africa for that music video.
Costume designer: So I got this really cool look envisioned for you..
Sabaton: That's cool, but we brought cargo pants and black shirts for everyone already, and Joakim has his armour, so we're cool. But don't worry, we'll totally put you in the credits for the video!

"The Sykes-Picot Agreement."
You will be very disappointed.
Well shit leave it to the uk and all power surging countries to try go dismember the ottoman empire
That is possibly what the 'to be continued' is about.
@@copperhamster I was wondering that as well...
thats what cause all the drama and war today in fact.
This is why Lawrence looks so sad at the end of the video.
«You should see them in concert»

You should also check out the ReinXeed album "1912" - it's a whole album about the Titanic. ReinXeed (Tommy) is actually the guitarists of Sabaton he was talking about at 08:37 that has his own band called ReinXeed or Majestica (for the latest album). The 1912 album is great, and also based on a historical event - the last voyage of the Titanic.

I am Brazilian and I really liked your idea of making a series of comments about the music, explaining and making it clear what happened, a pity that is not frequent here in Brazil.
The young guitarist is Tomy Johansson! He also has a group "Majestica" pretty cool too, and one of his older group is "Swedish hitz goes metal".
Indy Neidell as Peter O'Toole as Thomas Edward Lawrence (of Arabia).
Honestly, Tommy Johansson has been such a great addition to the band. Not hating on Thobbe, but Tommy has so much more prescence on stage than Thobbe did.
Plus, Tommy has his own band called Majestica where he's the vocalist/guitarist, their stuff is amazing too!
The guitarrist in the left is Tommy(Tommy Johansson). He joined the Band in 2016, he is really amazing !
The young guy's name is Tommy. He looks like a happy kid, but he's a true badass when it comes to music. They shot the video in Tunisia.
They actually filmed this in the Sahara. Check out the Sabaton history episode, they have a lot to say about the making of this video.
Sabaton hits the same history nail in my heart that Iron Maiden first did.
AAAAAALEXANDER THE GREAAAAAAT

I was actually fortunate enough to attend the last show of their US tour where they played this song live for the first time! They made sure not to tell us it was a world premiere until *after* they performed it though! :P
Love both the band and the channel!
My favorite song from them is Night Witches
Glad you are reviewing this so soon from it’s release!!!!
Have you ever seen the fanmade video of "the final solution" with footage of Schindler's List?
The guitar in the chorus is very reminiscent of my favorite song by this band, White Death.
@@davidegaribaldi1503 Hmm, I wouldn't go that far. The instrumentals are different enough, just similar.
The one on the far left is tommy johssnson lead singer is Joakim Brodén guy on the far right is Chris rorland drummer is Hanes van dahl and the middle guitarist is par sunthrom
I was looking forward to seeing if they were playing in my area. *european tour.* Never mind.
They come to the states every once in a while
@@doge8726 Yeah but that tour came and went, I'll have to wait for the next one and hope its route comes through my state.
@@WhiteoakKnight They'll most likely go to the eastern coast, and perhaps part of the midwest
well they are Europeans and Europe is way easier to tour
They actually played it on their last stop in the states back in November - at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. My 10-year-old son and I were there...was a nice surprise!
If you haven’t seen Sabaton History and Time Ghost, I highly recommend it
0:33 - I honestly don't think I could pick a favorite from The Great War album between Seven Pillars of Wisdom, The Red Baron, A Ghost in the Trenches, and The End of the War to End All Wars. I mean excluding Devil Dogs and Fields of Verdun was hard enough...
TheTaintedWisdom what about the future of warfare
@@quasarggl7502 Not bad, but not one of my favorites.
History teachers were always my favorite. And I'm a stem/linguistics major.
An American reacting to a Swedish band singing in English about a British man played by a Swedish-American in Arabia because a Serbian shot an Austrian in Bosnia.
This and "A ghost in the trenches" are the best songs on the album
Move between the lines, a soldier breaking the confines!
My only objection would be that Red Baron and 82nd All the Way exist
Sabaton actually owns a tank, i think its like the ones that are use as props in movies
Then on his return he gets screwed over by the establishment because he's no more use to them the same things still happens to today's veterans
From your clothes, one would take you as hip-hop head... nice :D
React to the Sabaton the last stand
Youngfellagod 100 as a catholic, that song and the tale of the Papal Swiss Guard makes something in me sing... and stirs the desire to take Protestant heads.
Sabaton has a way of stirring up blood lust
@@jakedakin1 you sound like a good lil boy
They did film it in Arabia. They had a car accident the day they finished filming. They got pretty banged up. But this was another great video! Keep em coming!
The music video was shot on-site at the real location that Lawrence was at back in WWI.
Tommy!!! He’s the guitarist that you talking about and is incredible!!
Chris is the other guitarist ☺️
Sabaton arranges a metal festival in Sweden every year, and imo it's one of the best metal festivals in Sweden. I think they're so great, not just musically but also the fact that they do that in their hometown and... yeah, they're just great
8:40 Tommy Johansen, joined in 2016, he also has his own band, with which he covered Primo Victoria some years ago... it sounded really interesting because how much different voice he has to Joakim.

Yep, they did film it in desert they are singing about. And than got in carcrash. Which makes that clip 100x more metal, lol.
Mr Terry is getting more Viber up since listening to Saboton. He has favourite albums now!
I used this song to try and Lure my mother into sabaton lol, as she's a fan of the movie
Bjorn Maene , my son took me to a Sabaton show for Mother’s day one year, I’m hooked!
I kinda like what they did with the coin in this vid. It reminds me somewhat of what they did with the pocket watch in the music video for the Bismarck. Using it as a narrative device to bridge the people in the past with the band in the present is just super rad.
The music video was filmed in Tunisia
yes they did film in the Arabian desert and they also had a pretty nasty car crash while they were out there
Screaming eagles is my favorite song of theirs gets me really pumped!
It's fun to watch Mr. Terry go from his first Sabaton Bismark video with his curiosity as to if this would fit the channel to him being a Fanboy 🤣
Chris’ guitar skills are amazing and his solos are legendary ❤️
The newest member of Sabaton is called Tommy Johansen.
There are many bands like Sabaton that cover historical topics... Notably there is Civil War which is a band that has some members who split off from Sabaton... If anyone likes Sabaton then would totally recommend that band...
now that you talk about going to see them on concert i will actually in Prague and i cant wait for them
10:40 they did the same thing in the Bismarck video, except with a pocket-watch.
In the music video they are 7 lights in the back when it pans to the band playin and he sings seven pillars of wisdom light the way
That place looks so beautiful.
Tunisian treasure.
Also, DAMN the Sykes-Picot treaty. Damn into Hell.
Those who know about their (Sabaton's) car accident, know that it was in Tunisia, and it happened after the filming of this music video
They filmed in Tunisia and Indy was the only one not in the car wreak. I was worried they would have to cancel dates on their tour since I had tickets for them early on the tour. But they are tough guys and a wreak in the desert can't stop them.
I really wish i had you as a history teacher back in the day, id probably hav gone into that line of work if i did
Sabaton is great band that take history and music good together !! on the 9th of Feb 2020 the are coming to the netherland and im going to see them!!
Sabaton is a great band. I've seen a lot of criticism towards them about how they may glorify war, which: they simply don't. Its in memoriam about the events that happened, though the songs are amazing.
merry xmas. those that cannot do. teach. create. keep on keepin`on.
I watched this movie on VHS and didn't understand half. However, they do some shot for shot comparisons with the 1930s movie.
You should try the attack of the dead man, prize of a mile, a lifetime of war and the lost battalion. Those r so good
After the Bismarck music vid he probably got every sabaton album he could find
This channel just made sabaton cooler lol it's so much better with in-depth history analysis
I love how much respect Sabaton has for their subjects. I can't wait for a Texas history song.
To my knowledge it was filmed on location and that coin was actually found by them at the ruins
Two other very good Sabaton songs are Last Stand and To Hell and Back.
Snow Camo in the desert.
That's....confident
The whole music video was filmed in the Sahara Desert.
Their Tunisia trip... ended in one hell of a car accident, I'm sure you can find the pictures they posted of it, they got beat up pretty bad in that wreck.
Added note as soon as that solo started and they cut close to the neck of that guitar I immediately went "Shit that neck's as wide as my 7 string, OH it is a 7 string, Excellent."
Saboton actually owns two functioning tanks that just can’t fire but actually drive and all of that
They filmed in Tunisia and they also got into a pretty bad car accident while there to.
Damn, Terry, the new intro is dope.
