the low end torque is impressive tbh. it’s not the ultimate dual bike; meaning don’t expect it to be a little motocross. but it’s tough, and can handle just about whatever you throw at it off paved roads. and it can keep up with traffic whenever that chore needs to be done. she’s a keeper in my books
It doesn't actually make that much torque (1nm more than a 125cc super cub), but the gearing is low enough that it can comfortably go on dirt tracks. You can replace the rear sprocket with a smaller one for better fuel efficiency if you only use this bike for running around town.
Don't use the stock tires for off roading. Some of the RUclipsrs pretend it's a dirtbike when it's not. Then people think they can do the same on dirt then get hurt.
When does it arrive? Double battery size, more power and a bigger bike. So many places you will be able to explore then, maybe even some of the forest roads you are surrounded by.
I've been struggling to get the Kawasaki done so Di's lad gave me an 04 Husqvarna te 250 for my bday! What a great bloke;) It needs a speedo and indicators, tyres and a few bits and pieces, but it goes👍 I should have it registered in a couple of weeks. I had a couple of Huskies when I was a kid, they were really good.
There was a dirt track either side of the dam, do think they laid a concrete path for the underwater section ? There was a dirt trail there before it flooded. Didn't know how deep it got but tried to follow the old trail, seeing the lighter path section under the surface for most of the distance. Got that sinking feeling when the water was deeper than my boots. If I veered off course I would be in trouble. With your good eyes you would probably made it too. Cheers John.
@@BikesDrones I was trying but nobody has them in my area so I went a different route and ordered a hawk 250 dlx efi model. I'm 52 been riding about 47 of them. Started with a cheetah mini bike, kawasaki 75, cr125, kx 250, yamaha 700 maxim, and an old yamaha 400. Had a few over the years. Lol now on a 150cc scooter just playing around town but time for something alittle bigger to get me up our country hills.

I agree. It's not the ultimate dual sport but it is comfortable with a low seat height and can take you almost anywhere you want to go.

They are OK for mixed use but when yours wear out there are 50 50 tires out there that are better.

Can do 100 kph eventually. Really happy riding around 80 kph.
