Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the care and attention that went into every second of filming and editing this masterpiece!? EVERY WEEK, SHE DELIVERS!!!
If you haven't thrown out the scraps from the brown pants, might I suggest you add a couple of triangle panels of that material to the side seams to get that A-line silhouette you're looking for? You could even do it on the inside seam so it's less visible?
hi kathleen! i just wanted to say that i appreciate your delightful personality and how you approach challenging or new tasks with a sense of humor and enthusiasm. it really encourages me to embrace more *whimsy* in my life as well and to not take everything so seriously. thanks for making your vids! ^^
I found your channel this weekend and have been bingewatching it ever since (yes hi, that one person working through your back catalogue is me). I love your creativity and how unashamedly you embrace the fashion style that makes you happy. You are pretty amazing. 😊
Update Edit: Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who supported the closet sale! Together we were able to raise $500 for Kaleidoscope Youth Center. I'm amazed by y'all!
@@madelineanderson96 so sorry! i accidentally didn't set up international shipping on some of them and by the time i realized it, they had already been bid on so I couldn't adjust it. I'll make sure to get it right next time 😞
This is the Saturday-sewing-project-with-bestie video we all needed. Definitely would run to watch more of these in the future! Congrats on facing your death pile - that much laundry is no joke. Thanks for another great one! Now onto the bid!
You got me with 'I just ate ice cream and salsa for dinner, my chaos tank is full'. I do the same thing and henceforth will have to refer to that process as filling my chaos tank lol
I love your humor and editing style. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. I'm an aspirational thrifter who needs to just get to a thrift store already
I know you call us stinky babies but when you said “grubby little paws” I couldn’t help but picture us all as raccoons. Trash pandas digging around in the garbage looking for nummy things, kinda toot, I imagine also stinky (??? not sure though, just seems like they would be), sounds like it fits lol
I feel equally called out and inspired/ supported by the co-tasking. A few things got cleaned and some gardening 🪴 My mending death pile is simple and set up. Hopefully I get to the hand sewing soon.
Sometimes videos like these help me accomplish a lot & sometimes my mental health is so bad the thing I’m accomplishing is not a lot but it is to me. Anyway, thanks for helping me brush my teeth today, it’s a small win but I’m taking it ❤
I'm bidding on the black, floral silk two piece and if I don't get it, I'll make one myself, because that is the prettiest thing I've seen in along time 🥰
As per instructions I put this on, did a ton of hand wash laundry, watered my plants (both indoor and outdoor ones, impressive, I know), and did some dishes. Thank you for the housework company.
Kathleen every video you post brings me so much joy and cozy feelings. I feel like we could easily be friends. I also need to add that I desperately want to see a house tour! Your house is just so interesting to me. 💕
So much fun and good clean work ethic! You could hang the other quilt above the bed (cinder blocks allowing) for a cozier/zanier feel in the room. Quilt shops sell wood clips for this purpose or you can whipstitch a 'sleeve' across the back for a suspending rod. Also some general tips for shorts for all from experience. Draw the cut lines on while wearing them (or have someone else do it) then cut about an inch below that. Try them on again and see where you need to even out to get the line you want when worn. Lady curves can affect the line. For a roomier fit on the trouser shorts, you can inset a triangle in the side seam from the extra fabric before finalizing the hem/cuff. Also, for cutoffs, machine stitch a straight line about a quarter inch from the final edge - that way they’ll fray but without disintegrating. Also I always machine wash rayon (even vintage) inside out on delicate and air dry, and it hasn’t been an issue? Looking forward to seeing all the closets/treasures! Off to check out your eBay shop...
Discovered your channel this week while recovering from getting Covid for the first time. Covid 0/10 would not recommend. Kathleen Illustrated 10/10 best convalescent content ever.
I feel like we've synced, weirdly enough! I did a closet cleanout a few days before last week's video came out, then I took photos of a bunch of stuff I plan on selling and put together my own mending/tailoring death pile, and now here we are with this video! Amazing! Love all the stuff you put out. You're my go-to person to have on in the background while I get stuff done, since I've binge watched every video you've put out at this point. Thanks Kathleen! Stay weird and stinky! :o)
This video turned out so satisfying, and you're telling me there's MORE coming? It feels nice watching people check things off their to-do lists, almost as good as checking my own things off! Hellll yeah keep the crazy sexy cool content nice and steady- honestly at this point I think anything you produce would qualify imo, your personality is just so fun to witness. You're one of those rare people who I'll just throw up on the tv while I attempt to Get Shit Done™, true bestie energy.
OMG I was recommended your thrifting videos and then I watched this one and you mentioned laurel and holy hell I watch her what the heck?! The algorithm really knows my kind of preferred content
I saved all of my mismatched socks for years. I just knew they would come in handy for something some day. When we moved, I wrapped all of my glasses and small vases etc. in mismatched socks and everything was safe!
Green and purple Quilt for the spring and summer season then use the brown and white leaf Quilt during fall and winter times. So it keeps it fresh, warm and invites in the season!
Hi Kathleen! I really love your videos, especially these closet cleanouts/diy projects. But I'm here to suggest you another topic you could make a video about, if you haven't done that yet. You often show parts of your house, but I would really like if you showed us the entirety of it, with maybe some infos about its history and decor style and pieces!! Only if you're confortable with that, obviously!
We've been in the middle of home (kitchen) renovations for roughly forever, meaning that other things have been piling up, literally and figuratively. I should really have a day or two (or a week) of this kind of "tackling it" mentality! :)
Baby girl, just throw the items in a washing bag or a pollow case and use the "gentle" program of your washing machine. I haven't washed anything by hand in more than a decade and I haven't ruined a single item, incl. bras and pantyhoses.
OK not to be weird, but I am OBSESSED with your bed! I fell in love with the leaf quilt when you first found it, and now with the orange cotton sheets 😍 OOF. I WANT!!! And I also want the baby deer in your woods. All of this is making my little forest goblin soul very pleased. 🍂🍄🍁
My death pile is mostly just ironing button shirts. At the moment the ironing board is folded up leaning against the wall and its metal and really heavy
Pants that taper are hard to hem neatly into shorts but you can open the side seams to half the depth of the hem before you sew the hem and that generally allows you to add enough ease at the sides to prevent them pinching in. You also have to be really careful to turn your hem at 90 degrees to both of the side seams. Downtown Tailoring has a good tutorial video. Your shorts still look cute though.
I own a lot of delicate/ lace/ wool pieces of clothing that can't just go into the washing machine on a regular setting. But my (really cheap) fronloader machine has a handwash setting that has lower temperatures and spin cycles that can also be adjusted. So I always use that. I even wash coats with that handwash program. I would go crazy without it. Is it a toploader issue that many Americans/ Canadians can't use their washing machine to wash delicate clothes? Honestly curious. Have seen this 'handwashing by hand' come up on other fashion yt channels as well. I would be way too lazy to do that with half the clothes I wear on the regular 😲
Hi :) I loved this, thanks for sharing! I'm really glad you cleaned those forgotten clothes, I'm sure they appreciate that too haha 😅 I just found your channel and I'm binging all your thrifting content! Obsessed
Hi, I'm new here! But have been binging thru the channel to get that sweet sweet (secondhand) dopamine hit from thrifting gems. Your style is fun and your voice is cozy c:
You could attach that perfume bottle to a chatelaine! I have a silver heart shaped one that's a little bigger that I love to use on mine on fancy occasions.
First of all, your videos are such a comfort to me sometimes I watch them twice in a row, and this one felt so extra cozy. I love this as a series. ALSO does anyone know what little fluffyguy mic she uses?
I LOVE YOUR STYLE YOU INSPIRE ME SO MUCH AND I AM CURRENTLY WATCHING YOU WHILE CROCHETING I DONT KNOW WHY YOU WOULD NEED TO KNOW THAT ANY WAY I ALSO LOVE KASHI
Yes eBay is still an amazing platform and like so many different search criteria and filters. Also as far as I can tell they're ethics as a tech company who has existed since 1995 seem to still be pretty solid. They should probably update their aesthetics a little bit but either then that just amazing.
Solution: ramen noodle quilt for summer, feather filled duvet cover for winter 🎉 side note: my boyfriends great grandma made three matching ramen noodle quilts similar to yours out of scraps from the t-shirt factory she worked at, apparently adding noodles to quilts was a short trend 🤷♀️
You showing your "hand wash" clothes pile definitely not made me think of those goretex hiking pants at the bottom of my laundry basket, waiting to be washed with a goretex friendly detergent since... September 2018, when I came back to Iceland 😅 (hey, there was covid and I didn't need to use goretex pants for my more recent hikes and they're not even that dirty...)
Throwing this on for my deathpile of an assignment.. Good luck tackling yours, people!🌼
best of luck!!!!
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the care and attention that went into every second of filming and editing this masterpiece!? EVERY WEEK, SHE DELIVERS!!!
☺ oh YOU! anything for my stinky children
Seriously, I just found her channel, I LOVE her editing style and humor! And style of course
If you haven't thrown out the scraps from the brown pants, might I suggest you add a couple of triangle panels of that material to the side seams to get that A-line silhouette you're looking for? You could even do it on the inside seam so it's less visible?
oo GREAT idea! thanks lizzy :)
hi kathleen! i just wanted to say that i appreciate your delightful personality and how you approach challenging or new tasks with a sense of humor and enthusiasm. it really encourages me to embrace more *whimsy* in my life as well and to not take everything so seriously. thanks for making your vids! ^^
You keep delivering and I am here for it! Now to tackle my own death pile!
I found your channel this weekend and have been bingewatching it ever since (yes hi, that one person working through your back catalogue is me). I love your creativity and how unashamedly you embrace the fashion style that makes you happy. You are pretty amazing. 😊
ALSO THE PURPLE AND GREEN QUILT IS BEAUTIFUL
Update Edit: Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who supported the closet sale! Together we were able to raise $500 for Kaleidoscope Youth Center. I'm amazed by y'all!
It won’t let me bid because it said no shipping to Australia 😢
@@madelineanderson96 so sorry! i accidentally didn't set up international shipping on some of them and by the time i realized it, they had already been bid on so I couldn't adjust it. I'll make sure to get it right next time 😞
this episode was a banger. the quilts, the shorts styling, the estate sale jewelry! 👌🏻 perfection!
This is the Saturday-sewing-project-with-bestie video we all needed. Definitely would run to watch more of these in the future! Congrats on facing your death pile - that much laundry is no joke. Thanks for another great one! Now onto the bid!

The champ is HEREEEEE!!!! May your death piles sufficiently tackled and tidy.
Kathleen, your videos are the most calmly chaotic thing I consume. I love you.
I love your humor and editing style. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. I'm an aspirational thrifter who needs to just get to a thrift store already
This was so fun! Thanks for sharing some anti-stink potion with us!
I sick right now and my death pile(s) are staring at me. The repair and up cycle pile has its own postcode at this point.
LOL we shall never escape. (hope you feel better soon!)
I know you call us stinky babies but when you said “grubby little paws” I couldn’t help but picture us all as raccoons. The vase necklace is TO DIE FOR are you kidding me??? such good finds!!
YESSS I'm glad you appreciate it!!!! it's perfection (and a weapon due to the weight LOL)
5:06 As one who has the misfortune of watching, I can confirm that’s exactly how every episode of And Just Like That ends
Another fun video! Would love to see more of you updating/revising/getting crazy creative with clothing.
Loved this energy! Would watch 100 more of this type of video!
That quilt is my favorite color combo EVER
I feel equally called out and inspired/ supported by the co-tasking. A few things got cleaned and some gardening 🪴
My mending death pile is simple and set up. Hopefully I get to the hand sewing soon.
this video inspired me to finally start to tackle my need-to-dye deathpile, which at this point is almost as big as half my closet😅
Sometimes videos like these help me accomplish a lot & sometimes my mental health is so bad the thing I’m accomplishing is not a lot but it is to me. Anyway, thanks for helping me brush my teeth today, it’s a small win but I’m taking it ❤
OMGG ABLE SHOPPE!?!? The owner used to work in my neighborhood!! I love that for them❤️❤️❤ Thank you for supporting!
Ha no way!! Small world! They have such great stuff 🩵😌
Ty for taking us along on your swag journey! Put that extra quilt on the wall :~)
I love closet clean outs ( and this video) they so therapeutic 😌
You're fantastic. I keep up with my handwash by throwing it in the bath water after a bath. Saves water. Quick rinse, hang dry, wallah!
Congrats on tackling some of the Death Piles! And that vase pendant is lovely!
Love hanging with you in this style video! Makes me also be productive and help time pass at work
Kathleen every video you post brings me so much joy and cozy feelings. I feel like we could easily be friends. I also need to add that I desperately want to see a house tour! Your house is just so interesting to me. 💕
d'aw thank you!!!! a house tour will definitely happen, PROMISE :o)

I love these types of videos 🥰 so glad I found you :D

This helped sm in doing boring tasks, today!!
Your brown shorts remind me of Greg from Over the Garden Wall in the best way!!!!
I love your chaotic energy, it was like cleaning with a friend
To solve any future quilt choice moments: hang one of them over a curtainrod on the wall above your bed. As a tapestry art piece.
love it! thank you!!!
im literally obsessed with your content🥹 btw bless you
Love the olive shorts!!

your house is actually so amazing!! literally a dream
another banger from Kathleen Bush
I put your videos in the background while I see. But then I have to pause what I am doing to see what you’re doing. ❤️ your videos
Was literally looking for something to watch because I was doing my death pile... Woo just finished the last item that needed repairing 😊

Bless you, Kathleen 🌝

Totally forgot about Ursula from Kiki's Delivery Service! What a queen 🐦✨
I’m so excited! But I must save for a less chaotic date! My chaos meter needs to get its fill in other tasks this fine morning. Productivity ✨
J Sterns is the queen of pants sewing and fitting ❤

Thanks for inspiring me to figure out how to make my dream purse from a thrifted bag and my scavenged bone collection ❤ 🦴
I have a tiny tin of Very Expensive And Nice solid cologne and now I'm going to have to only refer to it as magic anti-stink salve.
What music do you use in your videos?? It's so funky I need more of it
Can you do a curl routine? Your hair is sooo pretty!

Keepin it real Kathleen!! ❤❤❤
I wouldn't mind longer videos.
I'm fairly new to your channel and I've been watching your videos. And I feel like they're not long enough 😅
