Fun fact: the scene where Katherine found out Joseph was cheating; arguably one of the most memorable and imitated lines in the whole biopic, Angela Bassett improvised all of that with an interview I watched about her discussing this role. It’s funny how Angela Bassett is thirteen days older than Michael Jackson in real life.
Your comical anecdotes were on ten for this review. Jason Weaver definitely nailed his performance while “Cochise” and “Anna Mae” deserved Emmy recognition in my opinion. I believe LHJ and Fishburne’s award opportunities suffered based on the controversial characters they portrayed so effectively. You are a maestro of your craft Bro. I envy the viewers who discover all your content at once.
Thank you so much. I grew up watching this movie. I was already a fan of Michael Jackson’Thriller’ so when I saw this biopic about his family and discovered more of his music and Janet I became a fan for life. Thank you so much brother. ❤
This is one of the greatest music biopics of all time. Salute i left my full observation on both in the 2nd video part. i asked you to do this like 2 years ago but good video bro lol ..Would love to see Temptations movie AND NEW EDITION movie done next... top 3 musical bio pics in my opinion
Great review, only thing I disagree on is when you said there was no pay off for the Michael and Mr. Rat storyline. I think it shows the psyche of Mike as he was someone that would be seen as different/unique/weird. All of his brothers when they’re not performing have actual humans as friends. Even when the Rat was killed, Michael was distraught that his literal best friend had passed but that’s just a rodent Joe looked at as something he (as well as most people) would want out of their house immediately. And it also can play into the fact Joe really doesn’t want any of his kids having friends whether it’s people or animals. Could be a reach but I firmly believe the first thing I stated. Otherwise, this was a terrific review my G!
The greatest biopic of all time when it come to historical musical movies the music itself doesn't overshadow the actual film this movie is god its prolly on TV right now idk but the music as great as it is,is still secondary to the overall movie, scenes like the brick moving and I don't wanna get on this plane or who broke this guitar set up perfectly to the why I accidently broke this guitar and Lawrence Hilton Jaco's was everything this his greatest role ever he sold angry scared me a bit and Angela was so dedicated to the role it's stillmy fav of hers the limp she did she truly a method actor
6:35 That's Randy. That photo was taken after Jermaine stayed with Motown.
Looking back at it, you're right. They look so young in the picture I just assumed it was Jermaine. My mistake.
@@BlackMediaManCave In the 80s my mom told me Marlon was Randy.
