I mean there are bad cops but really they study criminal justice and risk their safety to help the community
I've read that their departments screen them before they're on the show, so I think it's safe to assume that this is how he just is.

Let anyone who has a bad perception of officers watch this video. This officer deserves a medal for how amazing he handled this situation. He has a heart of gold and his empathy for this handicapped gentleman was such an inspiration. Ive seen this officer in several videos now, and he is like a chameleon with the public. He can communicate and relate with the poorest homeless man all the way up to the wealthiest businessman. No matter who he is protecting or serving, he always always has one key quality... RESPECT. This police deptmt is extremely blessed to have this officer on their force. Well done officer. You are a shining star. Thank you for your service!

My heart truly melted when he said “aww you’re not in trouble.” It was sooo sincerely and gently said. He doesn’t realize how he’s acting can change a life. Listening. Caring and understanding. He deescalated the situation way quick.

This cop NEVER fails me. He was my favorite before the episode and I knew he would handle this with class. I hope he gets promoted and trains other officers on how to handle various situations

There is no doubt that this officer positively affects people all the time while on duty. Moments that he'll forget about in a few weeks (that's the way first responding is...high call volume...dealing with people on their worst days) are moments that someone appreciates and never forgets.
That cop is a really good guy you can tell he spoke from his heart to mr.rocky.

I was just saying to myself “this is one of Live PD’s best cops. He’s a good cop and love what he does.”
Not too long afterwards he said to the guy that he found, “You know what I’ve learned, It’s okay to have a bad day.”
At the moment I was beating myself up about a mistake I felt I’d just made. Not only that, I needed to know that in general and from this guy that just does his job in a way that can be respected.
This is a great cop. I really wish every cop was like this.

That made me smile so much!!! “You’re not in trouble. It’s okay to have a bad day.” That cop likely told him exactly what he needed to hear in that moment. He doesn’t have any idea what he just said and how that can make someone feel so much better because people are telling them it’s okay to be honest and people care. In some cases that can save a life. Wonderful cop!

I used to be a youth and adult life coach/ counselor. This would be the scariest feeling for the guy looking for him. Major respect to the officer for approaching him with such a calm demeanor and great comforting words.
