    wow - this is such horror torture for the restoration jeep crowd. really wish you hadn't sliced it all to pieces. That's gotta be the cleanest YJ interior I've ever seen (resto's not included, obviously) - you were so close to being able to easily do a factory restore and it would have been worth 3x what it is the you did it - and the really sad thing is it's no loner a candidate to do that. *facepalm*

  • @the86125
    @the86125 3 года назад +3

    destroyed the fenders and hood, made it looks hacked, just to fit 35s without buying a lift? I bet the 3.07s complement the 35s great.
    tube fender kits are pretty cheap and wont slice your wrist when you walk within 6 feet of them.
    Haters gotta hate.
    That thing was mint

    • @nickracing6328
      @nickracing6328 3 года назад

      As for first it’s got 3.73s,
      Second, tube fenders heavy as hell. I don’t want my Jeep be like a tank.
      And third, after lifting it will drive like a crap. No it’s smooth and stable on stock suspension.

    I love YJs and TJs and usually, I love watching Jeep restorations/rebuilds, but I honestly had a hard time watching this video. I cannot believe you hacked up that Jeep like that; why didn't you just do a body lift or shock lift instead of destroying the body? To each their own I guess......... any value that had as a YJ is completely gone now.

    • @nickracing6328
      @nickracing6328 3 года назад +3

      Yes that was a HUGE value on it before. I did it for myself not to sell, and I like it a lot now. You can have yours bone stock and sell it for 5k in 20 years. I would rather use mine every day and enjoy it.

    A great video, however, I tried 35s on my YJ for a short time. Immediately I could tell the larger diameter tire was causing issues when trying to Stop the Jeep rapidly. I decreased the size tire back to a 33 X 12.50 - 15 tire with the solid 10 inch wide tread stance and found a good medium. I did not have to upgrade the brakes on my stock axles.
